The peculiar atmosphere continued to hang over the team as Dylan's attention gravitated noticeably towards Emma. Myra, typically unperturbed, appeared indifferent to the shift, creating a palpable distance between her and Dylan as the days unfolded.
During a routine meal, Myra returned from the general's office with a tub of ice cream, triggering a comment from Emma about its perceived lack of nutritional value. Ashley, always quick with a witty remark, responded, "You just defined Myra." Laughter filled the air, though Emma remained unamused.
Asserting her role as a bodyguard, Emma declared, "I can't allow you to eat that."
Myra, unyielding, retorted, "You're my bodyguard, not my nanny."
