Chapter 88

Cleopatra stood aboard her ship and looked into the distance where the blockade had made their stand. They were spread out but none had deployed their vulture droids yet. Which meant that the better that their opening performed, the better it would be for later in the battle.

"Are the Scouts in position?"

"Yes! They are right above them and ready to open fire when we say we are ready," an elite that worked closely under Cleopatra replied. "We have also been charging the plasma cannons so they are reay to be fired on your orders."

He had been her aide for nearly a hundred years so he knew how to best assist her. He had prepared all the tasks that most would perform at the last moment.

"Is Nott ready?" Cleo asked, wanting to ensure the landing party and fighters were prepared. If she started before they were ready, it could end up causing countless deaths.

"Yes. She says that Queen Amidala and Sice landed safely while their fighters are ready to deploy. They would arrive in 13 seconds from their position."

"Then tell them to start coming now. We are commencing the attack!" Cleopatra was ready to begin the battle. She pressed a button and her voice was transmitted between all the Yautja starships. "Attack!"

The warriors under her needed no further instructions.

The large cannons under the 5 Motherships were glowing as they had been fully charged. When the order to attack was given, each fired off a massive beam of blue energy.

The beams quickly traveled across the vast distance between both fleets and were able to make contact before the battleships could deploy their shields.

The beams cut through the hulls of 5 different ships, destroying the command center and generators in one blow. All 5 of the targets exploded, killing any on board and getting rid of a 3rd of their fighters.

But that was not the only attack they had suffered from. Above the ships were the 30 Scout ships that had been cloaked. When the order to attack was given, each ship exited their cloaking to fire off a payload of missiles at 6 different capital ships.

Their barrage was sudden and their technology was superior. Even though battleships were massive and well armored, their shields were down and that left them vulnerable.

Without even firing a shot, the Trade Federation's fleet had been brought down to less than a 3rd of their initial capabilities.

Just as the initial show of force had ended Nott's fleet appeared out of hyperspace and immediately began opening fire. 3 Harrower-Class Dreadnaughts accompanied by 15 Castellan Escorts.

The Trade Federation were completely caught with their pants down. They were hurrying to deploy their shields, fighters, and trying to hail the Yautja to ask what was going on.

While they were scrambling, the Motherships and Scout ships had activated their cloaks and already left the battlefield.

By the time the Trade Federation had gotten their shit together they were down to two ships. So when one of the Harrower-Class Dreadnaughts left the formation to make its way to the planet's surface, the ships could only watch on and hope that their ground forces could handle the groups.

The Harrower made it into the atmosphere and began to deploy its transports. It could only stay for so long before it needed to support the other ships back in space.

Nott sat in a gunship with Jacen behind her as they raced toward the city. She could see hundreds of battle droids had been deployed.

"Open fire!"

The gunships unleashed hell on the the droids atop the city walls while ignoring all the ones outside. Their ships were moving too fast for the droids to target them with heavier weapons while their blasters couldn't even scratch the armor of the transports.

Nott's troops were almost at the city when she heard a screeching sound. Her eyes were barely able to see the shadow of the creature before it tore through 3 transports in a single pass, killing 200 of her men without letting them touch the ground.

"Fucking hell! What was that?" Jacen asked in shock

"Camazotz," she told her step-brothed. "King, deploy!"

King jumped off of Jacen's shoulder and out of the gunship. Nott lifted her right arm as her bracer began to glow in pink and purple light. That same light covered King for several seconds before the small lizard that was barely a foot had transformed into a massive and more ferocious version of itself that reached 170 meters in height.

The weather instantly changed. The skies got much darker while thunder began to strike the ground all around. Heavy rain began to pour while the wind knocked down countless droids.

"Shit. Always forget how scary King gets when he is Dynamaxed," Jacen laughed nervously when he saw King in his full form

Dynamaxing was a technique that Jial and Nott had worked together to invent. It allowed the Titans to be as transportable as they were in their eggs but with more freedom and autonomy. They actually created it because of King and Gaia but it soon became widespread among all the Titans that the Yautja owned.

King and Gaia rarely entered their full forms since they changed the entire environment when they did. Gaia caused forests to rapidly grow around it and also created electromagnetic fields while King created Category 6 hurricanes as long as their was moisture in the air.

The three heads of King reached toward the sky and let out a terrifying roar. Doug and Na Kika heard the roar and both came out of the water to the call. It was the call of an Alpha Titan.

Camazotz also heard the call and felt fear in its heart. It could sense that the Yautja had brought a Titan but it didn't know that a true Alpha had arrived.

The Camazotz resembled a giant demonic bat, with rough brown skin, fur on his chest and back, a comparatively small head with jagged horns and sharp teeth, and large shredded wings adorned with sharp, bone-like protrusions.

The creature let out a shriek and charged toward King, no longer worried about the gunships. Even though he was less than half King's size, the creature did not yield.

And King soon found out why. 3 more Camazotz appeared out from the clouds, surrounding King from every direction. But the Alpha was not deterred.

The 3 heads let out another roar, ready to take on the challengers.

The battle for the title of Alphas had begun.

While they were having their battles the first of the gunships and transports reached Theed. As the troops exited, they were immediately met with heavy fire.

"Landing zone is hot. I repeat, the landing zone is hot," someone reported. The droids weakness in accuracy and lag didn't matter so much when they had large targets to aim at.

"Understood. Transports, form a perimeter and deploy the troops within it. Gunships, get your men out fast and then get back in the air to provide support."

All of them were trained and should have know to deploy this tactic but they panicked.

Nott wished she had brought her Astartes but she couldn't go back for them. She was stuck with what she had.

They were able to finally establish some footholds which were quickly expanded. Within an hour, they had taken back the city and formed a defensive perimeter.
