(Sorry for late chapter.
Was writing the next one when I realized that I did not save this one before I wrote it the first time and I got pissed and stop writing for half the day.
I put in so much effort for the first draft!
Thanks for the patience)
— An undisclosed cruiser, a few days after the Yautja joined the war —
Talon and Kroq sat at a table across from one another, the former frowning as she twirled her glass of alcohol, not spilling a single drop.
"When can we finally leave this place?" Talon asked for the 7th time that day
Kroq sighed, wanting to go and join their other members in the canteen or hit the training room but Jial had ordered for the two to stay together.
Word had spread that the Jedi were patrolling the area around the station, sending out pulse charges to try and discover any cloaked or hidden locations.
It wouldn't have been a problem if they were with the original fleet but the pair decided to stay behind to monitor the Republic's movements. But after waiting for too long, they ended up being surrounded with little chance to escape.
So far, the charges had missed the ship but Jial wanted them to be careful. If one of the charges ended up hitting them, he did not want the others to be caught off guard.
"Boss says to stay low for another week. If they don't give up by then, he says we should just make a break for it."
Talon leaned her head back and groaned. She hated being cooped up in the small ship and not being able to join the fight.
'I should have listened to hubby and stayed on Prime. Now I just gotta sit around and wait,' Talon pouted in her seat. 'Maybe I can sneak a fighter off and take off for one of the combat zones.'
Talon's lips slowly curled up, making Kroq frown with worry. He could only imagine what type of wild idea that she was coming up with.
Kroq knew he had to stop whatever plot was coming into her mind. "What are you-" but before he could finish, their ship was hit by something.
It wasn't a direct blow or a particularly heavy but the duo knew what had happened. They looked in other in the eye and spoke at the same time.
"Pulse charge! We've been found!" they said at the same time. Both were secretly smiling deep inside but they tried to maintain serious expressions.
The capital ship that was pursuing them was an Pelta-class frigate.
It was usually used as a medical ship or cargo ship but this one had obviously been outfitted as a scout ship. The amount of fire power that it had was minuscule but that was not why Talon and Kroq were worried.
The ship was a decoy. If they attacked it, it would take too long to destroy and the their communication dampener would run out while if they fled, it would leave their engines exposed to be fired upon.
"How do you wanna go about it?" Talon asked him
"We can run or we can fight," Kroq gave the two obvious options
"Why not both?" Talon asked with a raised brow and small smile
Kroq felt a cold shiver go down his spine but he proceeded to ask what her plan was. And the more that he heard, the more terrified yet excited that he became.
A few minutes, Talon and the rest of the crew began to implement their plan. They only numbered 100 in total while the Republic vessel could have up to 1000 troops aboard.
But that didn't stop the pair from implementing their plan.
Their ship came out of cloak with their port side facing the starboard of the other ship. Once they had ensured that they were properly lined up, the escape pods from the Yautja's cruiser were fired at the other ship.
The Republic officers had not expected anything like this. They assumed the Yautja would surrender or fight but not that they would fire their escape pods at them. Because of that, they were unable to properly defend.
Each of the escape pods was more like a starfighter that could only travel in one direction but their purpose was not to escape but to instead board an enemy vessel.
They were armed with sharp tips that could pierce through the hull of a ship as well as shields that could defend them from one or two turbolaser shots.
And the pods did their job perfectly. Each of the 20 pods crashed directly into the side of the ship. They penetrated the hull, allowing for the 9 members of the Yautja army, each led by an Astartes, Talon, or Kroq.
As soon as they were on board, the groups got to work. Kroq and 7 of the Astartes groups rushed to the armory. They wanted to prevent as many of the soldiers from gathering their weapons as they could as well as act as a distraction.
As they made their way through, the group came across many officers and clones who were caught without their armor and weapons, only to be made into live targets to the boarding party.
Few had holdout pistols but those meant nothing to the Yautja group that was armed with powerful blasters and bolters.
They tore through the enemies until they reached the armory where they finally met some difficulty. Around 50 clones got their blasters or other weapons and were holding up in the armory when they saw the Yautja approach.
The soldiers turned their attentions to both sides of the hallway where clones and officers were firing at them using blaster pistols while Kroq led the Astartes down the armory hallway.
Bolt after bolt form the blaster rained down on them but the powerful armor of the Astartes and golden armor on Kroq's left arm prevented any serious damage from being done.
The group of 8 were able to break through the line of fire and reach the armory where they proceeded to slaughter the clones.
Kroq was the most savage, piercing through several in one stab of his spear while picking up another and biting their head off.
While those 80 did that, Talon and the other Astartes led group would make their way to the bridge to take over the ship.
Thanks to Kroq distracting the others, they only came across a few Republic forces that they were able to quickly kill.
Once they came to the bridge, Talon personally killed every member of the crew before having the 19 members under her take over their positions.
They had reached the bridge just in time as the timer on Talon's wrist began to beep, showing that the jammer had run out of power.
"Perfect," she smiled before falling back in the captain's seat and crossing her legs. "Change the ship's authorization codes to the Yautja so we aren't shot down and let's get ready to jump into hyperdrive."
The people nodded and began making configurations. It only took them around a minute to get the job done.
"Ready when you are, ma'am," the Astartes told her
"Punch it, Mr. Sulu," Talon ordered while she pressed a button on her gauntlet.
The ship began to enter hyperdrive when they felt a large explosion slightly knock them but it didn't stop them from disappearing.
Talon had blown up their original ship to prevent anyone from gathering information from it.
The group had not only managed to escape without leaving a trace but they had also managed to capture a Republic ship with a large number of clones that could be taken prisoner…
"I'm gonna be back soon," Talon ignited her lightsabers once more and rushed out of the bridge to get into a fight.
… If Talon and the others didn't kill them all
