122 Chapter 119: A Galaxy-Wide Address

Seated inside a waiting room, of what was now official the Senate building of the Galactic Systems Alliance parliament, Dooku was in a meditative trance.
To not only calm his emotions and hone his focus, but also to revitalize himself.
For over the past few weeks the Count of Serenno hadn't gotten that much in the way of sleep.
Though Dooku didn't mind that one single bit.
Because all that loss of sleep had led to today.
The day he, his friends, and his allies had all been working towards over the past three years.
The day they would formally reveal the existence of the Galactic Systems Alliance to the rest of the galaxy at large.
A step Dooku and his allies knew once they took they could not walk back.
Not that any of them wanted to in the first place.
They all understood the weight of the decision they made when they first began working to create the Galactic Systems Alliance, and could live with the consequences that came after they revealed themselves.
For Dooku and his allies all felt the Galactic Systems Alliance was something worth putting everything on the line for.
Even their lives.
Opening his eyes Dooku emerged from his meditative trance, feeling refreshed and ready for action.
Just after he did so he heard a knock on his room door.
Heading over to it Dooku opened the door, finding Ivor Drake standing on the other side.
Drake no longer simply the senator of Kestos Minor, but now the duly elected president of the Galactic Systems Alliance parliament and the GSA's first chief of state.
"Chief of state Drake." Dooku said.
"Count Dooku." Drake replied. "We are ready." She spoke.
"Understood." Dooku replied.
He then stepped out of his waiting room, the door closing behind him after he did.
Once this happened Dooku and Drake, who were being followed by Drake's personal security force, made there way through the Alliance parliament building and eventually arrived at the Senate chamber.
Upon doing so the pair headed for the platform in the middle of the room, the seats of the now senators of the Galactic Systems Alliance parliament on either side of the platform.
Reaching the platform in the middle of the room Drake sat in one of the chair situated on it.
While Dooku walked up and stood at the podium situation on the platform.
For after much discussion it was decided he would introduce the Galactic Systems Alliance to the rest of the galaxy at large.
A job Dooku accepted without any hesitation.
Feeling great honor, and great satisfaction when he did.
Giving the signal to those assisting him Dooku got the show on the road.

All across the galaxy, many people were simply minding their own business and going about their days.
Then in an instant, it all changed.
Across multiple holonet, and other galaxy-wide communication systems, the image of Dooku appeared.
Once it was he then started speaking.
People listening in, for they intrigued by what he had to say.

"Greetings to all those watching and listening, my name is Dooku Serenno." Dooku began. "I am the count and of the planet Serenno, and as many people will attest to a former Jedi. But a Jedi no longer. Now I am a member of the Jedaii order. An organization that seeks to stand up for the people of the galaxy, no matter what. Like the Jedi order used to. Before they became nothing more than the lapdogs of of the Senate and the Republic. A government which has allowed corruption to go unchecked and flourish at its highest echelons. People of the galaxy you have seen this with your own eyes over the past few years. Several senators whose crimes were exposed and whose guilt was made unquestionable, protected by the Republic! The Republic and Jedi sitting around, doing nothing but debating during the 'Naboo Crisis' even when it was made known what was happening to the planet and its people! The core worlds gleefully importing goods and resources from the mid and outer rim territories, yet doing hardly anything for the mid and outer rim territories in return for those resources. The money the core worlds pay for such things is only a drop in the bucket to the vast wealth they possess. And what do they do with the rest of their wealth you ask? Do they spend this money in helping to better the lives of their fellow Republic citizens? No. The core worlds keep their money, influence, power, and even military assets all to themselves, while leaving the mid and outer rims to suffer. Having been a Jedi for many years I saw this disparity with my own eyes. While the core worlds are safely protected many in the mid and outer rim territories struggle for survival on a daily bases. From lack of medical supplies and food, to say nothing of the pirates, raiders, and warlords that treat the mid and outer rim territories like their personal play things. It is sickening! And it is something I find entirely unacceptable. As do my allies. Which is why we have banded together to write these wrongs, to deal with these disparities, and to create a brighter future for ourselves which the Republic can no longer provide us. Today I speak to you as a representative of a new governmental body. Its name, the Galactic Systems Alliance. And I say this one last thing to all those watching and listening. If you are tired of experiencing and dealing with he mistakes made by the Republic, if you wish for a better life for yourself and those you care for, if you wish to help build something new, then I implore you to join the Galactic Systems Alliance. For I promise, it is a decision you will not soon regret." He spoke.
Dooku ending his address to the galaxy on that note.
Once he finished speaking he received a standing ovations from the Galactic System Alliance parliament members in the room.
Taking a small bow in their direction, Dooku showed his appreciation for their applause.
He then stepped down from the podium, his cape flapping behind him in the process.

As Dooku speech ended, chaos erupted across the remaining galaxy.
For the Galactic Systems Alliance had finally entered the game.
