Prelude to the Battle

The meeting with Admiral Hackett lasted almost 2 hours as they had to discuss the plan of attack and the positioning of her fleet.

Since her fleet had a lot of fighter's Admiral Hackett wanted them in the center of the fleet formation in order to swarm the center of the enemy fleet where the opposing Wraith Queen was located.

Once the center was swarmed Admiral Hackett will send a team of Spartans via drop pods to breach the hull of the ships and once they were in they will only have one mission which is to kill the Queen.

Once the queen was killed the fleet should fall into disarray making the battle end shortly. And if by chance another Queen's fleet come to help then Imperium will have a backup fleet on standby waiting to warp in.

Admiral Hackett had made sure that this mission will succeed by preparing for every possible scenario.

After coming with the plan of attack Doll returned to her fleet onboard her Hive Queen ship. Once there she got into position of the center of the fleet just as she and Admiral Hackett discussed.

Once her fleet was in position Admiral Hackett ordered the fleet to approach the Warp Gate. Now unlike other Warp Gates this Warp Gate could send an entire fleet to another location without the need for another Warp gate to connect it.

It was a prototype invented by the Scientists that John had researching the Warp Gates in the Star Gate universe.

And even in its prototype stage it has been tested beforehand to make sure that nothing will happen during the transportation process as long as the correct coordinates are put in.

So after the fleet got into position Admiral Hackett sent a message to the commander of the Warp Gate station with the coordinates of where they were going.

Once the commander received the coordinates he input them into the System to prep the Warp Gate which will take a couple of minutes because of the size of the fleet.

It only took 5 minutes to prep before it was ready, so the commander of the station activated the warp gate and watched as the entire fleet disappeared in an instant.

At the coordinates that the fleet jumped to there was nothing but space until the fleet appeared out of warp.

Once the fleet appeared out of warp Admiral Hackett relayed a command to all ships in the fleet.

"Everybody go into red alert 2"

Red alert 2 was the stage where everybody would prepare for a battle that is about to happen in a few seconds while Red alert three meant that they were in combat right now and to raise the shields.

The difference between the two was that one of them allowed the crew time to prepare while the other rushed everyone to their station's immediately.

But anyway once Admiral Hackett said that all the crew in every ship in the fleet who weren't already at their stations reported to their stations to prepare for the battle.

Once Admiral Hackett relayed that order all the people in the bridge started to gather data on the surrounding area using their long range scanner's.

Admiral Hackett could see the planet that was a few minutes away but wanted to be prepared for any surprises.

One of the bridge crew working on gathering data had discovered multiple ship signals above the planet, so he told the Admiral immediately.

"Admiral I have detected multiple ship signals above the planet possibly the enemy fleet" Said the person as they sent the information over to Admiral Hackett.

In front of Admiral Hackett appeared a screen that showed a planet and hundred's of red dots surrounding the planet which was the enemy fleet.

This was thanks to the advanced technology of the fleet's sensors that they could have such information on the enemy fleet.

Admiral Hackett started to observe the red dots to figure out where the Hive queen ship was located at. That's when he saw a lot of re dots surrounding one area, and he knew that the Hive Queen ship was located there.

"This is where the Hive queen ship is located to position the center of the fleet to attack from this direction while our left and right flank formation's will protect our flanks" Said Admiral Hackett as he relayed his orders to the fleet.

The fleet changed direction to get into their new formation facing the enemy and once that was complete they proceeded to advance on the planet.
