23 Back to Base and New Recruits

5 Days Later

Queen Amidala was done with her meeting with the council which turned into a waste of time as they would not dispatch a fleet to deal with pirates.

So she returned to Naboo and rewarded John with 50k credits for his service and thanked him for coming even though she didn't need him it was still thrilling as she got to talk with Layla who told her more about John.

John who was now back at the base was standing in front of a crowd of people. These are the recruits that the ships had returned with numbering 200 people. some wore tattered clothes and some wore normal clothes though he was informed that all were former slaves who were rescued.

John then began to tell them why they're here and what they will be doing while here Mostly training and learning. John planned to teach them basic things that are required in his faction because he didn't want the people who joined his faction to be incompetent so he will teach them basic things reading, and tactics, shooting, and those who wanted to become pilots would be trained those who wanted to work on guns would be trained and those who wanted to be soldiers would be trained. There would be many options for the people to choose from. Also, they will have free food and housing and will not be treated like slaves.

The slaves hearing the man who sent those people to save him telling them why he brought him here and that they wouldn't be treated like slaves were very happy and thought that they wouldn't have to suffer anymore. The slaves all started cheering and thanking John for saving them and how they would be glad to join him.

John hearing this was extremely happy because he just go 200 recruits in five days which is nice and once there trained in about 5-6 months he could start to send them on missions to rescue more slaves which will get him a steady supply of slaves coming in who will be given a choice of joining or not though he was sure that they would join him because he saved them and they had nowhere else to go.

After further explaining what they would be doing John had some soldiers come and show them to some empty rooms and starting in 2 days they will start training with the other soldiers and he would probably ask Master chief to train them too.

John went back to the base to asked the soldiers how many droids were produced when gone. He was told 250 were produced in a span of 5 days. John seeing these numbers wondered how many droids he will have after these 12 years and when he builds more droid factories he will have a bigger army than both the confederacy and the Galactic Republic.

But right now he needed to improve his soldiers so they could be a little more powerful than any soldiers in the Galaxy including the Mandalorians which were very good at fighting.

After talking with the captain of the ships which were chosen by the crew he told them to continue looking for more slaves to rescue or any person in need of help as those were the people who would join his faction and he could build them up to be loyal.

The captains already had some more locations in mind so they quickly went ahead and left to look for more people.

John had nothing to do for now so he went to find Layla for a quick match to see how he compares to her. After looking around for a few minutes she was talking with some of the other Force guards but once I came in they all had blushes on their faces. Most people would try to be dull but I knew what they were talking about. I walked up to Layla to ask her for a quick match

"I see you're talking about some interesting things over here," Said John

"But that's not what I am here for I was wondering if you wanted to have a quick match to see how I compare to you," Said John while looking at Layla.

"A match now that sounds exciting I always wondered when you would ask" Said Layla

They both then proceeded to the training room that was on the base followed by the other force guards. After entering John stood on one side of the room while Layla on the other and the Force Guards stood to the sides watching. Both John and Layla grabbed one of the practice sticks that were in the room.

They both stood there looking at each other waiting for the other to make the first move but no one moved until John rushed Layla to catch her off guard but was blocked and then pushed back. He wasn't using his full strength as this was just a practice match so going all-in would get somebody hurt.

after recovering from getting blocked, John started walking closer to Layla slowly getting closer while keeping his eyes on her to make sure she doesn't surprise him with a fast move though with his reflexes he could catch any surprise she throws at him.

Layla seeing John getting closer also walked closer so he wouldn't have her back against the wall and trap her. seeing how he was close enough she slashes diagonally but canceled midway and slashes at his side which catches him off guard but he manages to block it only by a little. after seeing him black she begins throwing constant strikes at him to throw him off and catch him while he is distracted but he wouldn't get distracted that easily. That was what he thought until he tripped over his win footing which caused him to fall to the ground seeing this Layla dashed forward to end the duel only for John to do a flip land a few feet away but Layla didn't stop and continued moving closer. John looked up only to see Layla's practice stick on his neck.

"I have lost," Said John breathing a little heavy

"You did well for the most part besides when you slipped on your own foot" Sayed Layla as she giggled at his mistake

The other force guards giggled as well. Seeing everybody giggle at him John let out a sigh and shook his head.

After the Match John went and practice balancing himself so he doesn't trip in a fight as who knows what would have happened if he tripped in front of Mace like that.

Just thinking about what would have happened made John train harder so he wouldn't slip up next time around.

After training for about 3 hours he went to the base and assigned two robot pilots to each pelican and also he went and place another droid factory next to the other one. With that, he now has 370k system points left but with the ships out recruiting people, he won't need to buy people from the system as much as he did before he would use the rest to buy some halo tech or probably some ships so he can build his fleet as he has a lot of robots now that he can use for them.

A/N: I was planning on making John his own A.I. so chief can keep Cortana just for him and 'the immortals' is not the actual faction name it was just a name he used as he didn't trust Padme just yet so the real name will be mentioned later on and A time skip will be coming next chapter to get to the Naboo blockade event.
