Chapter 9 Two Prophecies and Two Fates Part 1

ELDER KAGHANG'S POV

After being attacked by Longnozz, I awoke alone in a cell, imprisoned. Blood still trickled from my mouth, and my chest felt as if it had a sprain or a broken bone.

I pondered how it came to be that Longnozz was Vamuz XI. I couldn't help but doubt. Since Queen Ellazairae fled the palace, we had not seen her again, nor had we received any news about her. Even her parents were kept in the dark, and then this wizard known as Longnozz suddenly claims he is Vamuz XI. Who would believe that? Who is he fooling? I remember when I wanted to reveal what I knew, Elder Gangkhu quickly covered my mouth. I don't know why he didn't want me to share what I knew, even though I wasn't sure if Queen Ellazairae had indeed done it. Ah, now I understand. I felt his hesitation and concern for me, and I knew he wanted to find out what I knew. But what do I really know? I paused in thought. Then it came back to me. I remembered the day the Great Seer arrived at the palace to read the fates of the two infants of the two Queens.

For the first Queen, the Great Seer seemed to have said something like this:

"The child you will care for, raise, and love will be the one that will become the next king of Andromeda. However, his kingdom will be disrupted by a severe turmoil that has not occurred since the time of our ancestors. In the time of the coming turmoil, the child you will care for, raise, and love will rise and serve as the hope of Andromeda with the help of those from other galaxies."

And this was the prophecy for Queen Ellazairae's infant:

"You will raise and care for the child but will not love him. A day will come when you will love him, but because of him, you will endure everything. The child you will raise, care for, and learn to love will become king in times of turmoil. Because of him, the turmoil will reach the neighboring galaxy, and under his leadership, Andromeda will invade the Milky Way."

If you think about it carefully, it will really give you a headache. Unluckily for us, the elders and leaders in Andromeda, literally got headaches when we debated the two Prophecies.

"If both infants are destined to become kings. Whom will you support?" asked the Prime Minister.

Those who sided with Ellazairae's infant are those who value tradition. They will follow Ellazairae's child even if he sows chaos and kills relentlessly. Even if he destroys planets, they do not care because he has Pure Royal Blood.

There are also a few who sided with the future child of Queen Zoiraiba because they believe it is the right and proper thing to do, but in my opinion, they are hypocrites. They claim to be in the right but they judge Queen Ellazairae. They wish for both to die so that no one who starts turmoil would be born.

Is that a solution? That's why I stood up and said that I am on Queen Ellazairae's side, but I do not support her child; I support the child of Zoiraida.

At that moment, Queen Ellazairae cried. My heart breaks when I see her cry because I consider her like my own child.

That evening, Queen Ellazairae came to my Mansion, asking for my advice on what should be done to prevent the prophecy from coming true, and even the prime minister did not know what to do. The Queen cried and cried at my feet, and no matter what I did, she did not stop crying.

Suddenly, I just said that they should exchange their children and do it secretly. Only then did she stop crying, as if she saw a glimmer of hope. I just don't know if Queen Ellazairae followed my advice. I only said that because the prophecy did not mention the phrase 'infant in the womb.' The prophecy spoke of 'an infant that will be cared for, raised, and loved.' This is also the reason why initially Queen Ellazairae would not be able to love the child, but according to the prophecy, she will learn to love him in time. Perhaps heaven knew that Ellazairae would exchange her child with Zoiraiba's. It would be good if that happened. I hope my suspicion is true.

And if I were to say that there was indeed an exchange of children, it means that Viacyn is the true child of Ellazairae. This is in accordance with what Elder Gangkhu told me. I hope he is not lying.

How can I get out of here? I sat down and thought.

The chaos has started and here I am, locked up. Unable to do anything. Damn it.

"Hey! Do you have any alcohol there!" I yelled.

"Is this how you treat an elder?"

POV OF ELDER GANGKHU

I am still being chased by five elders because I refuse to engage with them, but that doesn't mean I can't defeat them.

"Elder Gangkhu, you cannot escape from us," said one.

"We will follow you wherever you go," another declared.

Then they released energy balls and hurled them at me. They kept throwing them, causing the ground to shake from the explosions. They couldn't hit me, and I was dodging them easily. I sped up my flight, but the five of them still wouldn't leave me alone. They became even faster and more aggressive.

I was startled when one of the elders spoke. Because of what I did, I almost got hit by their energy ball. I blocked it with my palm, then threw it in another direction, and it exploded on the mountain.

"Weren't you once on Queen Ellazairae's side? Why have you now sided with Viacyn even though you know he is not the rightful king because he is not legitimate Royal Blood?"

"You're asking me why?" I said while holding one of the energy balls they had thrown at me earlier. I crushed it in my hand to show them the vast difference in our strength.

"I will only say this once to you if you remember the prophecy that did not mention the phrase 'infant in the womb.'" I began.

"What do you mean?" asked one of the elders.

What I meanhere is, what if the two children were switched," I explained.

The five of them just laughed at me.

"So that's it, you're siding with Viacyn because you believe in fairytales, hahahaha" (there are fairytales in Andromeda too)

"Ok bye, we have nothing more to discuss." I said and flew off into space at an incredible speed.

"He's too fast! We can't chase someone that fast."

Luckily, they didn't follow me. I went to the space station to get my shuttle. (Space stations here are actually serves as garraged for space vehicles) I need to go to Elder Kaghang on planet Magnet to save him. So when I arrived at the space station, I immediately drove the shuttle towards planet Magnet.

Once I escaped, I was chased by five warships and bombarded with laser beams, laser cannons, and advanced weapons. The problem is that my vehicle has almost no weapons. It only has five bombs and a mini-laser machine gun.

I spun the vehicle around and didn't run in a straight line. I zigzagged, sometimes going up and sometimes down, but the five were still tailing me and continued to attack. When I curved to the left, they also turned left. When I fled upwards, they also went up.

I passed through huge asteroids and activated the voice command.

"Voice Command Activated" responded the machine.

"Shield," I said.

"Shield Activated"

Now I just need the right timing to release the first bomb. I slipped between two huge chunks of rock.

"Target upper and lower asteroids," I commanded the voice command.

"Target Locked," came the robotic response.

"Two bombs dismissed," I ordered again.

"Bombs, Fire on target" the machine sounded a response.

After I passed the two asteroids, they exploded. Two space warships were hit and also exploded, and one crashed into the chunks of rock caused by the explosion and it too exploded. The remaining two continued to tail me.

Before long, I spotted two asteroids close to each other. They were just over 30 meters apart and nearly collided. I flew sideways between the giant rocks. This time, the two did not follow me but instead circled around the rocks. One to the right and one to the left.

I made a U-turn back towards the asteroids, having formed a plan.

"Target the left side of the asteroid."

I commanded.

"Target Locked"

My vehicle still passed sideways between the two huge rocks. The two class B space warships separated in opposite directions to circle around the asteroids.

"Fire on target!" I said while I was between the two asteroids. I took a risk despite the fear that the bomb might hit the rock and not the intended target.

After I passed the middle, I made a U-turn to face the approaching enemy. Just then, the bomb exploded on the side of the asteroid, and the fragments flew, hitting the enemy in front of me. They activated their shield, so they weren't completely destroyed by the explosion. I think their shield was weakened because it was hit and it's only a class B vehicle.

I peppered them with my class S mini-machine gun laser.

The enemy made a U-turn to get away from me, but it was too late. I kept firing at them, and their shield continued to weaken. They flew erratically, tumbling and zigzagging to make it harder for me to hit them. I followed their movements. Another warship was tailing me and firing at me.

WARNING

OPPONENT HAS LOCKED US ON ITS TARGET

I cursed when I heard that, forgetting that the enemy also had bombs.

"Double the shield's strength," I ordered.

Shield's Durability has been doubled

The energy level of my shuttle dropped by 20%, now only at 40% from 60%.

"Lock the target opponent in front," I ordered again.

Target Locked

"Fire!" I shouted.

"The target was destroyed," the robotic voice answered.

I wasn't worried; I knew the shield could handle it.

The vehicle shook from the explosion. The immediate drop in my shuttle's stats was noticeable.

Energy level 30%

Shield Durability 40%

Ship's Durability 69%

The original 100% durability of the shuttle was reduced by 10% due to the laser hits before I activated the shield. Those were just grazes, but each graze deducted 1% from the durability, so it was down to 90%.

From 90% durability, the vehicle's durability dropped to 69% after the explosion, meaning there was still damage from the impact's intensity. I estimate that the bomb was either Class B or Class A, while the bomb I used was only Class C.

This is our classification from the weakest to the strongest or most durable, and it is a universal classification.

(Class F exists only on Earth, and a nuclear bomb is only classified as Class B. How powerful is Class SSS? Perhaps it could destroy an entire galaxy. This is just about bombs. As for weapons, the Doomsday weapon of Andromeda is Class SS, and their advanced weapon is Class S, while the semi-advanced is Class A, like the mini-machine gun laser used by Elder Gangkhu. It is semi-advanced because it can be recharged using its own energy, but it takes a long time, unlike the advanced ones that are fast and powerful.)
