The Free City's Freedom

The Morning came with a pounding at Clarity's door.

"Hello?"

"Sup, Good Morning...yea, we need to talk about your request."

"You found them?"

"No Clarity, they were all executed, the NWO, now our government, slaughtered everyone he knew. He's all that remains."

"Fuck, shit that's gonna be hard for him to swallow, get the others over here. He's gonna need people."

An hour passes and the group is sitting around the Ghost as Kay tells him the news.

"I'm sorry Ghost."

"They executed all of them....The Busch Hunter, The Tigress... everyone of ODTA! The Seneca Preppers, the Survivors of S.Field...I truly am the last one left."

The group looked around trying to find the words of comfort, the Clarity spoke up.

"Well, we're your family now."

"Yea man! You were a legend from what we read about ya, our contact got us all the sweet, good information on you and your friends." said Davis

"Clarity is right Ghost, you got us now, and as for Davis, our guy gave us the lowdown, you 100% flesh, no mods, no serums, just 100% you." said Lyquientiss.

He looked up at them, each of them unique in their own way. Then he saw the twin, both scruffy haired, oddballs, their style and mods clashing, not to mention the brother decked out in rainbow attire with blackout mods.

"WHAT! Ain't seen a gay before!?"

"No, I have, you two are just..."

"Just what pops? Weird? Stupid?"

"Unique."

The Brother twin stops talking as the sister laughed.

"Don't mind my airheaded brother, you'll fit in with us, just don't be a dick."

He nodded and looked back to the group eagerly awaiting his answer.

"Alright, I'll join y'all, but we need a name."

"What about spectre?" "OOO! What about reaper!"...

"Not for me, the group!"

The group laughed as a few of them smoked, few drank.

"We'll make a name for ourselves, for now, let take the Ghost here over to see Big Mick."

"Big Mick?"

"Yea, our mods dude, he'll get you a citizens chip, only way to do shit nowadays."

He nods and the crew got up and headed to the elevator.

On the streets they made sure he kept his face covered, at least till they got to Big Mick's.

"Fuck ya want shorty."

"Fuck off Mick, I ain't sleeping with ya, my brothers free though."

"HEY!"

The two laughed as Clarity leads the Ghost inside.

Big Mick was a tall, modded out, Jamaican man, he smelled of gear oil, rum and weed.

"What's da word Clarity?"

"Mick this is..."

"Awe hell ya, the Ghost of Ottawa."

"How did you?"

"The fish outta water look, no mods, looking like you stumbled out into a movie."

The Ghost laughed as he shook Mick's hand.

"Can't say I had a legend step into my shop."

"HA! You're fucking great Mick, but for real, I need a citizens thingy."

"Ah a man of business, hook me up with your autograph on that wall, and you get not only that citizens chip, but the first few mods free, just some basic ones mon."

"Works for me, for real man, I appreciate it."

"Ya see shorty, get you some manners and maybe you'll get youse a man."

The girl pouted as the others laughed.

"Alright Ghosty, this is gonna to hurt, just relax, and whatever ya do, don't scream."

The Ghost nodded laying back in his chair as Mick loaded a syringe with the chip. Clarity watched him as Mick stuck the needle into his arm, and injected the chip, and install his neck chip reader. Mick looked to the Ghost, only to find him expressionless.

"Alright mon, the chip will finish downloading in five minutes, just relax till then, gonna get us some rums to drink."

As Big Mick walked into the other room, Clarity used her mod to check the download process. It was faster than she thought, most of the Ghost's information wasn't public knowledge but those who did digging didn't have to look very far to find the answers they were looking for.

"Alright Ghosty, you chip is done mon, put that signature on da wall, and pick out a few mods."

The Ghost nodded and hopped up, painting his signature on the wall above the chair, the big Jamaican man laughed as the Ghost got down.

"Nice mon, now get some mods, ya need em to survive in this place these days."

The Ghost took a look at the mods rack, there were plenty to choose from. From enhanced eyes to finger extensions, Mick had everything one would need. The Ghost picked out some arm bracers and a hand guard.

"All good choices mon, come back tomorrow, I'll have em cleaned up for ya."

The group left Mick's and took to the streets, ready to make some money, and get drunk tonight.
