The Tyrant’s Era

ARC I:  DÄMONISCH

The land of Landroich became the most successful country in the past 1460 when the Dämonisch family was known, and declared themselves ruling Landroich through their successfulness in handling politics issues and such. 500 years took to be Kaiser's era to take the throne and rule the Landroich on his own.

Kaiser became the youngest Grand Duke in history, who is very intelligent and very mature at the age of 10 where he finally took a grasp on his learning, he learnt how to deal in political issues and how to fight over the greedy wolves. He was the one who dealt with corruption. Kaiser is also the one to handle the prisoners who committed the greatest crimes in the country, and to repay the crimes they did is a death sentence. If you were to commit a crime such as murder, you would have an honor to let Kaiser behead you publicly.

For the last era of Karl Dämonisch until now, not a single soul dared to attack the Landroich and declare for war to take the prosperous country, because, who would know how many tricks has the young duke up in his sleeves? Most of the events are alliances and trades. Kaiser never interacted with his foes, and his foes never noticed anything fishy or weakness about him. Kaiser is the one who is easy to talk to, if you're in the Landroich to trade, just trade smoothly and fuck off.

Kaiser's behavior gradually became easy-going, cheerful to aloof and tyrannical. His new demeanor sends shivers down everyone's spine, almost everyone is afraid to interact with the tyrant. The tyrant has 4 more months for his coronation day, to step and sit on the throne and have the greatest power of royalty, and it is being a King.

He was a tyrant in everyone's eye, for the reason that sometimes, he was using his power way too much without the guidance of his father. He is a ruler who exercises total power harshly indoors. but outside, He was composed like a gentleman. But that doesn't stop the rumors, the whole Landroich knew that their once sweet little duke was a tyrant. The more he could grasp this heavy power, the more they worried for their safety.

as the saying that goes:

The Grand Duke had been a happy boy, Full of laughter and cheer. He would play with his friends, And never would they hear a care. But as he grew, so did the crown, And the weight of it had changed him. He had become stern and aloof, And he did not want to talk about it.

On the day of his coronation, He sat in his throne hall; With a crown on his head and a scepter on his hand. He was no longer the boy he once had been, And everyone knew it. The Grand Duke had changed.

The originator of these words, which ultimately transformed into a melody in Landroich, remained a mystery to all.

Many people believed that, because of this tyrannical aura that surrounds their duke was because of the assassination of the former King, his father, Karl Dämonisch. Karl was killed by a masked man after the grand celebration of Kaiser's birthday where the King himself was busy taking care of the departure of his people.

Who assassinated the King? no one knew. The main guess where the culprit was disguised, mixed in the busy crowd. As the king collapsed, all the imperial guards saw was fleeting of the culprit, who wore a black cloak. The imperial guards didn't have time to search and catch the murderer, and so, the justice was in vain. The identity of the King's assailant remained a mystery. Kaiser saw his own father collapse on the ground, the little kid was paralyzed in fear as the servants urged him to get inside the palace and let alone his friend, Elias.

This system of duchy and kingship works in the way where you start to be a duke, they must be open minded at an early age, They are nurtured in the art of governance, honing their skills in the art of leadership. Eventually, they will ascend to the title of the Grand Duke but in order to be ascend in that title, However, they must solve the country's problems first, for 30 minor cases and 10 major cases for both politics and issues and if they've done less than expected, their title would be postponed, will also bring shame to their own history.

No one wanted to write their own failure in their incoming era, but the requirements and works to claim that title is seriously too harsh and difficult, some heritage to the royalties cheated, some covered up with lies attached their strong 'proof' and some, simply had done it wrong just to succeed the title. Everyone was greedy at the time. Yet, amidst the chaos, Kaiser stood apart, embodying a character far removed from the rest.

The Grand Duke entered the hall with a confident stride. He was tall and powerful, his raven tresses that he grew by the length of his broad shoulders, boasted streaks of silver that harmoniously complemented his mesmerizing lavender eyes. With a commanding presence that immediately commanded respect. His face was cold and stern, and there was no mistaking the iron will he wielded. His gaze swept across the room, taking in everyone and everything. He was not someone you wanted to cross. As his subordinates and subjects bowed and bent the knee, he knew he had established himself as the unquestioned ruler. A tyrant had been born.

He wore a white peasant blouse and a high waisted, buttoned up black pantaloons up to his slim waist, and a pair of leather loafers with a 3 inch heel including a clean white pair of socks. He wears this type of outfit for casual gatherings, and if there's an occasion, he would wear more formal clothes for the show of respect in the meeting. He also wears two types of jewelry, one was a gold ring with a ruby attached as for its design that he wears to his ring finger, one was a pair of rectangle, gold earrings with a gemstone of amethyst.

The hall was awash with an atmosphere of fear and dread. Everywhere the eyes looked, there were the signs of a tyrant's rule: guards lining the hallways, prisoners being dragged off to dungeons, the tortured screams of the people in order to repay their sins, the worst sins that were committed would be sentenced to death. The very air was thick with tension, as if a great storm was brewing. The Grand Duke walked into the room, his presence alone enough to chill even the most stalwart of hearts. His cold, piercing gaze swept over the assembled crowd, his face a mask of indifference. With a single word, he could doom anyone present to a life of misery and fear.

He sat on the seat where his desk lies next to his seat as he looked at his subjects coldly. the inner servants could feel his aura— praying in their hearts that no one would offend the Grand Duke. The one who knelt up to the Duke's front was the Marquis Maximino, Matthew Maximino. Matthew was Kaiser's best friend since childhood, Matthew was there as Kaiser grew up without Karl. Matthew was like his guardian angel who calms him in such situations in the palace, who helps him to make decisions with utmost care.

Kaiser lifted up his plum eyes to look at the man who knelt in front of him. He felt like he was electrically shocked by nervousness as he identified this man, What's Matthew doing here? Did I make the wrong decision? Did I fail to do something? He thought. He cleared his dry throat, his Adam's apple bobbed up and down as he spoke slowly and stern, "Maximino, you came.. for what reason?" as he waited for Matthew's reply. "Her highness asks you for company." Matthew replied, his head still lowered as they spoke.

Kaiser asked, "Where is Luxe?"

"Her highness is at the Rosette river, asking for a picnic on this perfect day." Matthew replied.

Kaiser scoffed, "It's been a perfect day not until she summoned you just to ask me for a picnic. she could've asked a servant instead of calling you, doesn't Luxe know your work?"

Matthew politely responded, "I happened to pass by the Rosette River and Her Highness saw me, asked me to go to the palace for this event. according to Her Highness, she wanted to have a bonding with Your Majesty."

Matthew knew that the Grand Duke wouldn't accept this, so he added, "Your Majesty, I think it's a good invitation, too. It's not good for you to isolate yourself in the palace. Your Majesty knows this."

Kaiser clicked his tongue, there's no way he should refuse this, or else the time that Matthew took to get in the castle from the Rosette river would be wasted if he didn't accept this invitation from Luxe. As a Duke, Kaiser might be powerful but he knows what the word 'shame' is. So he made up his mind, might as well as to admire the Rosette river for the time being.

"Cassandra, tell Uncle Arthur to prepare my horse," said Kaiser, "I'm going to Rosette river to meet Luxe."
