Dominik shows me the bedroom and grabs a few blankets from the closet.
"I wish it was more comfortable here, but at least we're out of the man castle." He chuckles a little at the name I gave his home.
"It's very comfortable," I say quietly, looking around. "It's cozy."
"Much different than what you're used to, though." He smiles—such a genuine smile. I think this is also the most comfortable I've ever seen Dominik. This cabin suits him.
"Sometimes different is better. The biggest houses can still feel like prisons."
With that thought, I sit on the side of the bed. What are we going to do now? We can't stay here and hide forever.
"Why did you bring me here and not the man castle?"
"A few reasons." He sighs and leans against the dresser. "Obviously the cartel knows about Kisa. And now so does Matvey."
