The rest of my day is spent pacing and idling downstairs while Vanessa stays shut in her room. It isn't until the sun has started its decent behind the west trees that Vanessa emerges dressed as Kisa again, and I curse under my breath. Every outfit just gets more and more difficult to try to ignore.
It's not that Vanessa is dressing inappropriately for the club. She's not. She's dressing perfectly, and these clothes aren't any more revealing than what the bottle girls wear every night. But her body—Vanessa's body—is different.
Those curves, that waist, those legs… god, those legs. I would sacrifice anything to be between them, to have them wrapped around me. And now that I know that they're supposed to be wrapped around me, they're supposed to be mine, I'm reminded of the opportunities I've already had and failed to take.
