HOTD part 10: Teams situations.

It's the afternoon with the sun rising high in the sky.

The city situation is getting worst by the second, not only because of the zombie even the people that lost their minds are helping spread the chaos.

Using guns, fire, explosives, and every weapon they could put their hand on. They attacked zombies and the surrounding people murdering them.The police and the SDF tried to stop them, but they are too busy securing the bridges and stopping the zombie advancement.

The city became a battlefield filled with fire and blood that no one can do anything to stop it, especially with zombies and the panic spreading around.

Inside a cafe close to Takagi family mansion.

There was a man wearing a suit checking the surrounding using a telescope before comparing it with the map.

The man was marking the map with a lot of points in different places while looking at a small notebook next to him.

"The mansion is mostly secured against zombies attack, but from the guard actions they seem to be ready to face other attackers at any time" The man said before he looked at his watch.

"They should be here any time soon" the man said before he looked at the mansion again with his telescope.

After a while. A car appeared outside the cafe and parked next to him.

Three-man walked outside the car and entered the cafe after they killed some zombie around the entrance.

"Captain the task is done" the biker said with a smile.

"I can see the game notification" the suit man said as the biker smiled awkwardly.

the weapon guy started laughing as the biker glared at him.

"We did what you ordered captain, but we didn't see the guy that controls space" the star man entered the subject as his two friends expression got serious.

"Of course, you will not see him...he isn't that stupid to appear while you hold those devices" the suit man put down his telescope and said.

"You mean he was watching us from afar?" the weapons guy asked.

"Yes and no... I can't be sure if he knows the location of the plot" the suit man said as the trio got confused.

"the space controller doesn't seem to be from any big family or organization... those usually send their new player in-group like the ascendant academy" the suit man said like he remembered some bad memories.

"The price of the world detailed information isn't something a lucky player that got a space talent can afford... even if got money how can he know that this will be his world mission" the suit man sad as the star man realized.

"That means he only has few pieces of information about this world, and he probably doesn't know the locations here" The star man said as the suit man nodded

"yes, he probably wasn't watching you or maybe I am wrong if he had a way to track his team" The suit man said before he turned toward the notebook.

"He also doesn't seem to be an old player that means this is his first mission... if he was an old player he will surely have a way to face us head-on rather than moving the strings like this" the suit man said.

"I see... but doesn't that mean he will be probably around this mansion" the weapons guy said as the suit man nodded

"He must be here, but not only him will come even the other team will find a way to take the rest of the protagonist team into this mansion" the suit man said towards the weapons guy.

"I thought they will follow the plot" the biker said.

"they were going to, but after their teammate death and the protagonist getting killed they will surly realize what situation they are in" the suit man said.

"So what do we do?" the star man said allowing the suit man to make the final decision.

"We will split up. you and the biker go to this location and find the house while me and this guy will prepare for the battle here... after all, we can't be sure they will not follow the plot" the suit man said as everyone nodded.

"Well I guess we will be okay as long we got these devices. The space ability may be tricky, but a new player can't use it to its full potential... that reminds me captain where did you get all these space blockers. I remember they're very expensive" the biker said

"You shouldn't be limited to the shop only. A device that blocks space is expensive, but if it only works for one world then becomes useless it will become cheap also... you should buy them, after all, you don't know when you meet those space controllers" the suit man said while touching a shallow scar on his neck.

"Thank you for the advice captain. We will go now" the star man said as the suit man nodded.

The star man with the biker left the cafe as they entered the car and drove away.

"you plan to use them... aren't you" the weapons guy said.

"Of course, I will use them... do you feel sad for them?" the suit man said as he took a screen showing the star man and the biker from a camera inside the devices.

"No, I am not that naive, and you already paid them" the weapons guy said.

"That advice will be my payment for them if they met the space controller it up to them to survive. If they survived they will continue the mission with us and if they failed we will know more information about him"the suit man said as the weapons guy sighs, but didn't speak.

"The game is the place of the strong, surely there may be some people enjoying this, but those are only the guys that had it all the moment of their birth. For us normal player this is our only way" the suit man said as he picked the notebook and started to write in it.

Somewhere in the road behind the bridge that is closed by the police, there were 7 people walking towards the other part of the city.

In the front, we can see a short fat guy walking with a pink-haired girl and a blond guy while in the middle a woman with long purple hair was walking with a golden-haired woman that seemed to be tired from walking. In the rear, a pair of a man and woman with brown hair was walking together but the woman stayed away from the man.

"You never told us that your father had a connection to the police Kevin" Kohta said towards Kevin next to him.

"We didn't even have time to talk about ourselves during these days" Kevin said as Kohta had a wry smile.

"That true" Kohta said as he remembered all that happen.

"Well my father work in the arms industry and he is a very big businessman, but because he was busy in his work only me and my mother arrived at japan... he must have been worried about us to even ask the whole army and the police about us," Kevin said as Saya looked at him.

Kevin used his talent that hints the people around him with the help of John item to convince the police about his story and let them pass the bridge.

"So why the police didn't take you to safety if you are that important... also, I never heard of your father before" Saya said as Kevin smiled.

"The police are already busy with the raging crowds all over here, and I don't think you know every businessman out there" Kevin said as Saya turned her head away.

"That means you know a lot about different weapons" Kohta said.

"Oh? it seems you also a fan of different firearms" Kevin said as Kohta smiled.

"You have no idea" Kohta said before he and Kevin entered a heated discussion about guns while Saya rolled her eyes at them.

"I hate walking~~" Shizuka said while walking without energy.

"Do you prefer to get eaten by them then?" Saeko said.

"I don't want to walk or to get bitten by them... can't we just rest somewhere?" Shizuka answered instantly.

"No, we need to meet with the others at Takagi house, and I prefer to reach before the night falls" Saeko said.

"Don't worry after this we can take a vehicle to reach Takagi house how before the night falls" John that was walking behind the two said.

"Even if you say that...*sigh*..." Shizuka said before accepting her fate.

"Just bear with it for a while, and we will be right there" John said with a smile, but he noticed Saeko looking at him.

"Is there anything?" John asked.

"John was it?... can I talk with you for a moment" Saeko said as both Shizuka and Rebecca looked at them.

"Sure what do you want to talk ab-" John said, but he was interpreted by Saeko.

"Alone" Saeko said as John got confused.

"I see... Rebecca can you leave us alone..." John said only to see Rebecca already took Shizuka to the front leaving them alone.

"Hahahaha..." John laughed awkwardly seeing Rebecca actions.

"I wanted to ask you..." Saeko said as John looked at her.

"Takashi and the others didn't survive... right?" Saeko said as John eyes widen for a moment.

"What are you talking about? Didn't Takashi called us earlier to find them at Takagi mansion" John said but Saeko kept looking at him.

"There no need to hide it anymore. I don't know how you did it but that wasn't Takashi that called us" Saeko said as John smile started to fade.

"Even Takagi didn't believe that was Takashi... I think she just didn't want to believe he is dead. She is just hoping that her conclusion is wrong" Saeko said as John expression turned serious.

"What do you want by telling me this?" John said as Saeko shacked her head.

"Nothing, especially at these times... you may have hidden the truth, but that also kept this team together, and your friend also died with them" Saeko said as John lowered his head.

"Your actions all these times were strange... like trying to protect us from them but from a greater danger that we don't know about" John was surprised by Saeko words.

"Your breathing didn't change you even didn't get tired from walking all this distance like you are very different from us" Saeko said as John started sweating.

"I don't know what you are planning, but I will tell you this" Saeko said.

"I killed a person before... He was hidden between some zombies before he tried to attack Shizuka, so I killed him" Saeko said with her hands shaking.

"Nobody noticed, but I killed him because he tried to attack my friend... honestly I am still afraid of myself" Saeko smiled bitterly.

"A sword no matter how people tried to change its meaning with protection or kingship... it will always stay a killing weapon just like me".

"It may be very ridiculous to listen to a split personality guy advice, but he was right".

"I am afraid of hurting the people around me... I am really afraid, but if this self is something necessary to protect them in these times then I will gladly accept it".

"I will not run anymore because that would be just a disgrace for the way of kenjutsu that my father taught me" Saeko stopped shaking as she looked seriously at John.

"No matter what you will do. The moment you try to hurt my friends... I will kill you" Saeko said as John was taken aback.

"Keep that in mind" Saeko said as she followed the team.

"...*sigh*..." John stood in his place for a while before sigh and moving towards the team.

In the opposite direction from John team.

Akashi walked towards a couple of buildings before he suddenly stopped.

"Is it just me or there was someone talking about me?" Akashi asked D4C that didn't answer him.

"Well, whatever... Now, where is that house?" Akashi grabbed the map from his space as he started to look for Shizuka friend house.
