48 Tagging Up 22

"My turn then, draw!" Dox took over.

The bald in green sighed in almost relief as he looked his card over. "I must admit, you two whelps are not bad at all," he admitted, before regaining his smirk, "But I believe this is where you will take that fall."

"Is that so? Then let's see you back up that gall." Alexis challenged.

"I do believe I will," he chuckled, "And with this spell card, Dark Element, your life will go to nil!"

"Oh?" Alexis raised an eyebrow. She looked over at Yarden to see if he knew what it was.

"It's used for summoning an upgrade to Gate Guardian." he explained with a shrug, unconcerned. It wasn't a real card where he was from, and actually a card he had saw used against Jaden and Syrus in his and Alexis' place against these two.

From what he'd saw though. It wasn't all that impressive, despite being much easier to get out compared to Gate Guardian.

It definitely wouldn't be able to get around the Marauding Captain's effect.

"Quite so," Dox nodded, "I can play this card as long as Gate Guardian is within my graveyard, and thanks to our shared graveyard, it is indeed in my grave. By playing this card, and paying half our life points, I can special summon Dark Guardian from anywhere in my deck to the field, and I choose attack position!"

A massive roar split the air as a titanic monster burst into existence. Larger even than Gate Guardian by a good twenty feet, it was a towering centaur-like beast. With a lower body of a gigantic metallic spider, while the upper half was that of a demonic humanoid in black spiky armour carrying a giant double headed battleaxe.

"A steep price to pay." Para noted.

"But worth it to play," Dox chuckled, "For you see, for every Sanga, Suijin or Kazejin in the graveyard after Dark Guardian is summoned, Dark Element allows me to draw one carda!"

He quickly drew three cards and his chuckles grew louder, "And I will be playing one card right away!" he said, slipping the card into his spell card zone, "Axe Slash Bash! As long as Dark Guardian is on the field, I can choose one monster on your side of the field and destroy it, and you take half of that monsters attack points as damage! And I choose Dark Magician Girl The Dragon Knight!"

"Not so fast baldy," Yarden grinned, "I still have a card in my hand! And my Dark Magician girls effect is a quick effect that can be activated on any turn. I'll be discarding the card in my hand to let her use her effect and destroy Dark Guardian!"

He discarded the card in his hand and Dark Magician Girl The Dragon Knight got right to it. She lifted her sword up into the air and fired off a crackling beam of pink from her blade.

Only, when it slammed into Dark Guardian, nothing happened.

"You fool!" Dox's chuckles rose up into hysterical laughter, "A useless tool! Dark Guardian cannot be destroyed by battle and is unaffected by monster effects!"

Yarden's eyes widened, and Dark Guardian's axe glowed with dark power. It swing its giant axe, leaving a trail of darkness behind that sliced right through Dark Magician Girl and Luster Dragon 2 and destroyed them both for the second time.

"Not so smart now are you, fool?" Para sneered.

"Now watch and drool, for my monster still has his attack this turn!" Dox continued, "Dark Guardian, destroy one of the Marauding Captain's with Axe Slash Bash!"

Dark Guardian roared once more, its axe lighting up with dark power again and it swung. Marauding Captain stood no chance and was crushed beneath the giant axe.

"And that is not all!" Dox added, "For Wall Shadow is free to attack now as well! Go, destroy the other Marauding Captain!"

The mantis-like creature sunk into the wall behind the brothers, only a shadow remaining. A shadow that disappeared from behind the brothers and reappeared on the wall next to the remaining Marauding Captain. A moment later, the mantis monster shot out of the wall and sliced through the blonde knight monster and destroyed it, causing their life points to take a massive hit.

Alexis went wide eyed at how low their life points and gotten, while Yarden grit his teeth. 'I wasn't expecting that!' he snarled inwardly.

He knew not everything was going to be the same. He'd already gotten quite a bit of evidence that proved that in different cards. But Awakening Of The Sealed Guardian, plus the changes made to Dark Element and Dark Guardian – it was absurd!

Enough to turn the duel around in an instant. Just a minute ago they were solidly crushing these two bald morons! Now they were one attack away from losing!

"Yarden.." Alexis bit her lip and sent him a worried look.

He schooled his expression and sent her a smirk, "Don't worry Alexis," he reassured her, "We've got this."

Dox snorted, "You sure talk tough for a brat with only four hundred life points left, let's see what you can do, for I play two face down cards, and pass to you, though I don't expect much," he responded, before shooting Yarden a smirk, "But then, what can you expect from a fool that plays a useless card like Serpent Night Dragon, you are clearly a tard."

"Now boy, draw your last pathetic card!" Para sneered.

Yarden stilled, before his eyes narrowed in fury, "The fuck did you just say you baldy walking puss filled fucking scrotum!?" he snarled.

Alexis flinched at the vitriol that left his mouth, "..You idiots have done it now." she shook her head.

The pair of brothers were taken aback by the aggressiveness in his voice, and even the crowd had gone mostly silent after a series of shocked gasps at his words.

Dox shook his head and regained his composure, "You heard us boy, you are for the urn!" he shot back.

"Your life points will be zero, come next turn!" Para finished.

"There won't be a next turn for you!" Yarden spat, drawing a card, "Here, let me show you why my deck doesn't have any pathetic cards. I'll be playing the legendary Pot of Greed and drawing two cards!"

He swiped two cards from his deck, before slamming one down again, "And now I'll be playing another Pot of Greed!" he snarled, drawing two more cards, "And another Pot of Greed!" he repeated the action, and went from zero cards in hand to four.

"Three in a row!?" Dox gaped.

"Surely it can't be so!?" Para was in total agreement with his brothers shock.

"About the same odds as you drawing the cards you did last turn, morons," Yarden lifted his gauntlet clad fist and flipped them the finger once more, completely disrespectful to the pair of them, "Now lemme show you morons, why the only retards are you and Rex Raptor for not understanding how great Serpent Night Dragon is, I'm playing Nightmare Sonic Blast! This lets me draw four cards, and it has a bunch of effects depending on how many monsters I draw!"

He swiped four cards from the top of his deck and displayed them openly and proudly for all to see. Serpent Night Dragon, Guardragon Promineses, Aleister The Invoker and Gift Of The Martyr.

"If I drew one monster card, I can add any of these cards to my hand. If I drew two can destroy one card you idiots control. If it's three, I can choose any of the above!" Yarden explained, "And I'll be getting rid of your Wall Shadow and adding Gift Of The Martyr to my hand!"

At his words, Serpent Night Dragon opened its mouth and unleashed a roar that blasted a massive wave of black sound waves at the labyrinth surrounding them, completely destroying it.

"No matter, Wall Shadow may be gone!" Para scoffed.

"But Dark Guardian has not redrawn!" Dox nodded.

"Let's see about that!" Yarden scoffed, playing a second spell card, "I activate Heavy Storm, and it destroys all spell and trap cards on the field!"

As the spell card appeared in front of him face up, it unleashed a massive gale force wind that tore through the area, destroying all of the trap and spell cards placed. Unfortunately, that also meant Call Of The Haunted, and White Night Dragon gave a roar as it was dragged back to the graveyard.

And his own face down trap card went with it. Not that it would do much good here and now. Burst Breath wouldn't do jack shit to the Dark Guardian.

"Sorry Alexis." Yarden flashed the blonde an apologetic look for a brief moment.

"It's fine," Alexis reassured him, flashing him an understanding smile, "Just don't waste it."

"Don't worry, I won't," he nodded, before turning his attention back to the two brothers, "Now don't think I'm anywhere near done you pieces of trash, because now I'm activating Future Fusion and by sending fusion materials from my deck to the graveyard, I can fusion summon here and now! I'm sending my other two Serpent Night Dragon's, Hyozanryu, Luster Dragon 2 and Curse Of Dragon to the graveyard, to fusion summon Five Headed Dragon!"

Prismatic blue light surged into the air above the duelling arena and the five dragons appeared before it before being sucked inside. A moment later, a monstrously large shadow burst through the light to reveal a titanic yellow dragon with five different coloured elemental, serpentine heads and Five Headed Dragon's chorus of roars shook the area.

Five Headed Dragon – Dragon/Dark/Level 12/Fusion/Effect: 5000/5000

"An impressive beast." Dox swallowed.

"But no threat in the least." Para shook his head.

Together, the brothers then smirked, "We are no amateurs, we know you cannot attack with that beast on the turn you summoned it using Future Fusion." Para and Dox smugly declared together.

"Obviously I'm not planning on attacking with it then you retards," Yarden snorted, "I'm playing the spell card I picked up through using Nightmare Sonic Blast. Gift Of The Martyr! Here's how it works. I choose one monster on my side of the field and send it to the graveyard, then I get to pick one monster on the field and give that monsters attack points to it! I'm using it on Five Headed Dragon to give all five thousand of its attack points to Serpent Night Dragon!"

Five headed Dragon began glowing with bright golden light, before turning into pure energy itself and shooting over to submerge into Serpent Night Dragon. Serpent Night Dragon grew massively in size, becoming more than three times larger, almost as big as a lorry and with a raging golden aura blazing from around his body.

Serpent Night Dragon – Dragon/Dark/Level 7/Normal – 7350/2400

"Oh dear." Para's eyes went wide.

Dox on the other hand snorted, "There is nothing to fear," he declared, "Those attack points will only last this turn! And mighty as your monster is, Dark Guardian cannot be destroyed by battle and even should you attack with your best, we shall still have life points left over!"

Fucking idiots must have failed mathematics in school, because no they wouldn't. Not that it mattered, because he was going full overkill to make a point!

"I told you, you weren't getting another turn!" Yarden countered, lifting the last card in his hand to show it off, "Because of you lowering our life points so much, I can play this equip spell. Megamorph, and when our life points are lower than yours, any monster equipped with this card has its attack points doubled!"

As he played the spell, the already massive Serpent Night Dragon roared and doubled in length and width. The serpentine dragon became so large he could fully coil around the arena multiple times. It was as if a dark, corrupted Slifer The Sky Dragon had descended.

Serpent Night Dragon – Dragon/Dark/Level 7/Normal – 14,700/2400

"Fourteen thousand, seven hundred attack points!?" the brothers gaped together.

"That's insane." Alexis stared wide eyed at the titanic form of Serpent Night Dragon.

"Sorry what was that about my dragon being pathetic?" Yarden's smug, proud smirk could not at all be hidden, "I couldn't hear you over the sound of your monster crying like a little bitch! Go, Ebony Flame!"

The humongous form of Serpent Night Dragon opened his mouth and unleashed a near tidal wave of glittering black flame that washed over Dark Guardian. Its roars of agony within the flame was the only indication of its existence.

When Serpent Night Dragon finally let up and the flames began to dwindle away, Dark Guardian was burned badly, but still standing tall. The same though, could not be said for the Paradox Brothers life points.

The pair of bald brothers slumped to their knees while their massive monster began to fade away as the duel ended, alongside all of Yarden and Alexis' remaining monsters.

"I guess we won." Alexis mused, giving a dazed blink.

Yarden smirked smugly still at the pair of downed brothers before turning towards her, "I said we would, didn't I?" he questioned confidently, not an ounce of doubt in his voice.

He was not at all going to let on how close that actually was. If those idiots had a single decent equip card to give to their monsters like Axe of Despair, they would have totally lost.

"I guess you did," Alexis smiled and Yarden blinked as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and hugged him, "Thanks a bunch Yarden, if it wasn't for you I'd be getting expelled right now."

"Well I wasn't going to let my favourite blonde get kicked out now, was I?" he chuckled, wrapping his arms gently around her back himself and returning the embrace.

'Hey!' Dark Magician Girl pouted at him mentally.

'Favourite human blonde.' he corrected mentally.

'That's better!' she giggled.

A pair of coughs drew their attention and they let go of each other to turn to the Paradox Brothers who were smirking at them, "I must admit, I did not see that coming," Para admitted, "Shall we give you, our congratulations?"

"Indeed I agree brother, they have skill to top nations!" Dox laughed.

"That they do, I was very impressed," a third voice added in, and they all looked to the stairs of the duel arena to see Chancellor Sheppard making his way up the stairs, "Yarden, Alexis, you both have proven you deserve to be here and won your right to stay, congratulations."

"Was there ever any doubt?" Yarden squeezed Alexis around the waist gently, "Like I've said before, if you want to beat me and Alexis, you'll have to send Yugi and Kaiba."

"Guess you're definitely safe then," Chancellor Sheppard chuckled, "We definitely can't afford those two, especially considering one of them owns the academy."

Alexis laughed lightly, before pulling out of Yarden's grasp and bowing her head lightly to the chancellor, "I'm sorry again sir for causing so much trouble." she apologised.

"No, no, it's fine my dear," he waved her off, "If it were up to me, this wouldn't have reached anywhere near this far, but I suppose some good things came of it at least."

"Sir?" Alexis raised her head and asked, confused.

"Why, the whole world got to see how good a pair of our students are, holding their own and even defeating a pair of pro's," Chancellor Sheppard laughed, he then narrowed his eyes lightly at Yarden, "Though, I could have done without the cussing Yarden."

"I'm not apologizing, they started it." he shrugged.

"Hmm, I suppose." Sheppard sighed.

He struck up conversation again with Alexis and Yarden would have joined in, if a familiar sunglasses wearing professor didn't catch his eye atop the bleachers. Wade grinned down at him and flashed him a thumbs up.

Yarden grinned right back, and reached into his red blazer to pull out his PDA. When he popped it on and looked at his balance, he almost dropped it in shock as he saw the numbers staring back at him.

DP: 3,157,630

Over three million DP! He could cash out that three million for three hundred thousand pounds, or roughly four hundred and thirty thousand dollars or so, and still have a hundred and fifty seven thousand DP to spend on cards.

'Yes!' Yarden cheered inwardly. It took all his self control not to start cheering and celebrating outwardly.

That meant, as far as his savings account went, with the interest of that added in to the ten thousand he already had, plus the three fifty he'd be getting every month from benefits, he'd be getting one thousand nine hundred pounds a month and rising from just the interest!

He'd done it. He'd made it big. He'd gotten to the point where on interest alone he was making just as much as a working adult a month.

And he was only approaching a month into the school year here and now.

God he fucking loved this crazy, wacky world! Who cares how stupid it was a card game ruled the world more or less? Not fucking him when it benefited so much from it.
