This Hero Is In A Prison? How Dare The Heavens

 You are facing a Level 5 Boss, and all you have going for you is armour begging for release and a dagger confused about which direction it should point, would you lose? "Nah…" Bob replied himself, a calm gleam in his eyes as he stepped past the blue wolf, "I'd win."

 The statue dashed forward at a fast speed, swinging its blade all its might. Bob dodged the strike, stepping back and spinning to the side, dodging another. He swung his blade, smashing it in the side of the golem's face, "Haha! Got you!"

 His dagger shattered in his hand, bursting into a million pieces. Shocked, Bob tried to escape but the golem was quicker, spinning around and swinging his blade viciously. Bob dodged the strike, his eyes wide, but only by a hair's length, a thin gash left on his cheek.

 Bob jumped back, frowning as the statue turned to face him, "I see. There is no way I can close a gap like this with skill alone. I should let the wolf finish this thing off, but it'll stunt my level of growth."

 He sighed, 'As a level 1 hero, that thing's attacks would wipe me out for sure.'

 Before he could begin a monologue, the golem leapt forth, thrusting with its blade. Bob thought quickly, and he dashed to the side, his heart beating out of his chest as the monster's blade sunk into the wall. As it struggled to pull it out, Bob pulled a dagger from his inventory. 

 He closed in and slashed at the monster's back—dealing no damage. 

 ⦗Broken Mirage Negated Physical Damage⦘

 Sparks flew as he slashed harder, leaving a white gash on its armour and neck. Bob was sad as it turned around to face him, swinging its blade along happily. As the blade streaked through the air, he heard the coffee dance meme play in his head and sighed.

 'I guess this is the end…'

 No. Bob clenched his fists hard, bursting with strength as he kicked himself back. As he dodged, a victorious light shone in Bob's eyes—until he puked a mouthful of blood. As he hunched over, letting loose his innards, Bob nearly died. The gash in his chest had opened up!

 "Big Blue Wolf… this enemy may be the most dangerous we have ever faced till now." Bob killed all his hopes of levelling up like this, turning to the wolf, "No matter how hard I strike, it negates all my physical damage somehow…"

 Hearing his words, the demon lord's eyes brightened up. Bob stepped back as the wolf leapt in the air, attacking the statue. It swiped its paws, but this time, a crescent of azure fire was cast, flying into the statue. The fire blasted the golem, lifting it into the air.

 'Finally!' Bob panted with his heart beating in his chest. As he struggled to breathe, he lifted his head and watched as the statue struggled to fend off the Wolf's fire attacks. Before the statue could defend itself, it began to come apart, and the wolf destroyed its armour.

 "The negation effect is broken?" Bob's eyes lit up, and he ran at a fast speed, his eyes blazing in a ferocious light! As he got close enough, he leapt forward with all his might, 'This is my one chance!'

 Before the wolf could deliver the final crushing blow, Bob, in all his awesomeness, struck first! A boom sounded as Bob's attack burst the golem's head, sending chunks of rock flying into the air!

 As Bob slid across the ground, the golem fell behind him — dead. Then, he sighed, turning around to the dead monster. It cracked to dust, fading away into the eternal darkness, and a system notification arrived,

 Bob opened his mouth to laugh wickedly, but as he tried, he only puked blood. The wound in his chest had developed into something else, and Bob panicked. Before he could act, his body collapsed, and his senses faded into the darkness.

 Bob stood up with a start. To him, his resurrections were instant, but he had no way of knowing the time in this dark space. Glancing around in the darkness, he reached into his inventory and took out a torch, "Who knows what that over-levelled wolf must be— gah!"

 He jumped noticing the pair of big blue eyes glaring down at him. Bob sighed to calm himself, 'It must have traced me here…but that means…' he paused, 'I am not in a loop? I have died twice now, is there a limit? Dammit, what if I die and never revive?'

 "I earned three skills?" Bob held his chin, "What this with death points? Does this mean I need to die a hundred times to upgrade my class? How the fuck—no—why the fuck would I want to gather a bucket load of deaths?"

 There was no answer. Bob sighed, thinking back to something else, like the landmark and the key the Area Boss had dropped. The Area Danger level had settled considerably after he killed it, so Bob prepared himself for the next area. With his gaze cold, he voiced, "Map please."

 A map appeared before him, and it was massive. Everything was greyed out, and only the areas he had walked into were revealed. Bob sighed, closing his eyes, "Transport to landmark!" 

 When he opened his eyes, he found himself in the same room again, the statue gone and all the four doors around him gleaming in gold lights. As for the big blue wolf, Bob sighed, it'd have to walk here on its own. 

 Bob reached into his inventory and retrieved the Hex Key. It was sure to unlock of of the three new doors here and lead him to a new area, and without hesitation, Bob approached the northern door, slotting the key into the hole.

 "What?" Bob blinked, 'The fuck am I doing in a prison?'

 As he opened the door, holding his torch in one hand and a dagger in the other, he stepped into the darkness. Bob was stunned to see someone waiting for him when he entered — a beautiful lady with blood-red eyes and long silver hair — and he paused.

 "I'll only ask you this once…" she aimed her staff at him, her blood-red eyes gleaming in a bright light, "Human or Demon?"
