A Battle won with luck.

Victor with a calm mind started to think of a way to kill the monster and don't get yeet to oblivion because of one stupid decision and mistake. 'Fighting someone bigger than your height and strength in frontal combat is just plain stupidity and suicide unless you are confident about your strength. If there is even a chance for me to go near it without being noticed my luck might be through the roof right now.'

As victor was looking around to study the situation to gain an advantage for a strike, the big gorilla had gone near the lake and started to drink the water near the shore like an animal with its head down, drinking from the source.

At that exact moment, Victor got a brilliant plan as he was looking around and saw a small ledge near the lake where the gorilla was drinking with its head down. It was the most vulnerable time as its neck was exposed to attack freely.

Victor thought about it and found that there will be a no better chance to strike than now because that gorilla ain't gonna give him next time to land a clean skrike, so Victor got out of his hiding position and started to climb through the ledge that had a tight gap only able fit a single person barely.

He got to a position behind the gorilla on the ledge right above the gorilla and thought a second time about the plan. After recalling the plan, it's time to execute it. He got into a jumping position with a knife in his hand that looks rusty but sharp and deadly. If the knife couldn't kill something then that rust surely will.

Victor breathe a full mouth of air to fill his body every muscle and jumped by pushing his leg on that tight ledge and using his leg as a spring-loaded with power. While in the air, he put his arm in front of him as in an assassin position with both hands tightly grasping the blade and performing a stabbing action as if the knife is ready to stab something.

Victor's arm which was in front of him holding the knife struck the gorilla that was exposing its neck wide open. The downward force of gravity and the action of jumping down the ledge with full power was enough to land a massive blow and cut through the gorilla's backbone to its flesh and stoping just right above its breathing pipe.

Victor after landing the hit, hurriedly grabbed the gorilla's body hair to hang on to it with his dear life. He didn't want to lose a chance to kill the gorilla and leave his only method of fighting the beast stuck in its neck. Also jumping down is suicidal as this gorilla can stomp him to a bloody mess with no chance of survival.

The gorilla got mad angry as it was drinking 'the water' thinking that no one will attack him as this was his den, Getting attacked while not being prepared in the back was the worst. It started to act like a mad beast with the only purpose of destruction as it started to jump, run and slap things in its way.

It also realized something was on its back, it wiggled its body to throw/off-balance that culprit but was unsuccessful. Seeing that it was not working the gorilla ran full speed ahead without even thinking and tried to squish that creature into the walk with its back hitting the wall at a massive force.

Victor also saw that and jumped from the back of the gorilla to the front near the chest. Gorilla with a loud thud hit its back and in the process also plunged the knife deeper into the flesh and burst the windpipe leaking air and blood both from the wound.

The big Gorilla felt a sharp pain and had trouble breathing as the air started to leak out through the hole in the back with fresh blood. In a desperate attempt to kill its culprit, it started to pound its chest, and victor who was in its chest jumped to dodge the hand but got hit by the hand in his back flinging him across the area of 10 meters in both air and distance.

Victor landed near the lake's shores. All of his backbones were fractured and almost turned him into a cripple down from his abdomen. Victor with wide eyes saw the gorilla was struggling to breathe and got on its knees and slumped right onto the ground with its face facing the ground with an emotion full of struggle and desperation to survive as it reached out its hand toward the lake as if the only way to survive was that lake.

Victor also saw its action with wide eyes and despite a pain almost greater than he ever felt except during his last time on earth, he could still be calm and think normally. Victor didn't need any more reasons to hesitate and in a state of desperation to survive started to crawl using his arm only as his whole lower body from the lower abdomen wasn't working properly.

He slowly crawl like a tortoise and got near the shore, still feeling that horrendous pain and almost fainting a couple of times. As he lowered his body into the water he didn't feel as much pressure as before in his arms because water carried most of his weight and he started to float in the water.

Victor felt a cooling session in his body as if his body doesn't hurt anymore and almost fell asleep but a sudden pain woke him up. He started to struggle in the water as his backbones got crushed like a paste and again got reformed into a new set of bones but it was a struggle of life, a desperate attempt to survive no matter what, and a feeling of pain and pleasure for almost three hours without any break.

Victor was conscious the whole time, so he felt what it was like to be crushed by something heavy. As he started to feel his toes and feet, he tried to stand on the sand below the water to get out of it but couldn't as something was pushing him to stay in the water.

As victor struggled to move his leg, a message came to him on a screen but this one was different by a big margin from the system panel he was used to. It wasn't the same panel given to everyone as this one was golden with a weird symbol and mysterious writing with the title of almost unreadable but can be guessed through the pattern of words almost matching the English word 'Soul-Bind'

A notification sound came and a prompt message came in front of the panel saying

[ System rebooting ... using surrounding energy to charge system energy... converting impure Mana into pure Mana..... system recharge through host body as a source and vessel ... strengthening host body to adapt to pure Mana for transmission...system recharging 1%.... recharging 2%.....recharging 3%...]

'hmm... What the fuck is this? System but this one isn't the Eden system, th...this one is different and more beautiful but what does it mean charging through by body as a vessel? Is the system absorbing the lake's water for recharging and does it has to go through my body and then to the system? Why is everything happening in a single day?' thought Victor as he felt some kinda liquid flow through his body and inside his blood vessel.

The traveling liquid first got collected in his heart at a certain location near the right arteries and then all of it flows straight to the brain with blood, reaching the core of the brain and covering the brain with a dark blue liquid, the liquid then got absorbed by a light golden soul With pattern all over it.

As this process was going on, Victor wasn't feeling well as gut-wrenching pain started to travel through his skin and then blood vessels, to his backbones, and then to other organs in his body. Victor felt that some kinda alien monster with slime properties going through his body in every nook and cranny and it was uncomfortable as hell. It even reached to his balls area and let's just say nobody like their balls being touched by a slime inside the skin.

Like this Victor suddenly felt dizzy and drove off to sleep not knowing what is happening to his body at that moment.
