"Is that you, John!?"
Turning his head back, John recognized the voices of his friends and felt a mix of emotions - relief, sight joy and worry about Sylvie, who wasn't with them.
"It's you guys." John's relief was tinged with a sense of disappointment that Sylvie wasn't among them. But within his heart, he hoped that she was safe and well somewhere in the maze.
"Wait… What did you do to him!?" Bella's shock and concern were evident as she looked at the injured person lying on the ground. The rest of the group, too, was taken aback by the sight, their previous doubts about John's actions now confirmed.
"Oh, him?" John's voice remained indifferent as he glanced at the injured man. He didn't seem to care about their judgment.
"Don't tell me you... tortured him?" Bella's disbelief was shared by the others. Witnessing the man's condition firsthand left them shocked, and they struggled to reconcile this with the image of their friend.
