SSS-Rank Talent: Fate's Slave

Fate has always been a mystery, steering some towards heroism and others towards villainy. But for one person, that fate led to a chilling transformation. "Kalsie... y-you... killed everyone? Why!?" she questioned, shock, betrayal and disbelief evident in her eyes as she surveyed the numerous lifeless bodies, staining everything in red. Hearing her, the person in question looked at her with his hollowed eyes void of emotions, and replied, "I did...” “Just why!?” she asked in despair. “because... my fate... curse, and... Destiny... wanted me to." Kalsie was once a normal human with a kind and a playful nature. But, as they say, life is unpredictable, and Kalsie's life was no exception. For him, it all began on that fateful day. The day he found himself stranded on an island filled with dangerous monsters—where everything changed for him. ********* A/N :- It is a slow paced in the first volume and System/Talent is introduced in the second volume. For riches and wonder

Kalsie's patience wore thin with their non-stop bickering, prompting him to intervene.

"So what? What can you even do with one of your hands gone?!" Timmy's voice surged with agitation, directed squarely at Kalsie.

"Are you crazy?! Don't provoke him," Toby attempted to defuse the situation, turning to Kalsie with a plea. "P-Please don't mind him. I think he's lost his mind! D-Don't kill us. We'll leave! We don't want any trouble!!"

"Why are you so scared?! You know we have to pass this test to attain a life of riches and wonder, right?! Besides, he's already injured!! If you can't help me, then I'll do it myself." With these words, Timmy thrust his friend aside and charged towards Kalsie, brandishing a sword.

"Wait!!" His companion tried desperately to halt him, but Timmy paid no heed.

Kalsie regarded the unfolding situation in slight surprise, noting the sheer greed that consumed Timmy. He had anticipated that some would be driven to eliminate him in pursuit of power and kill counts, but he hadn't expected that even individuals who appeared physically weaker would be so easily swayed by their own greed.

'Will Nicole and the others go through this as well?' A heavy sense of foreboding weighed on Kalsie's heart as he contemplated this.

He turned his attention back to Timmy and asked, "Are you sure about this? Defeating me won't be easy."

"HUH!? Are you scared now that you're saying such stupid things?! You're injured; what more can you even do!? Only a retard like my friend would ignore such a God-given opportunity."

'He is nothing but an idiot driven with greed,' Kalsie concluded silently.

"HAAAH!!!" Timmy gripped his sword with both hands and leaped toward Kalsie, aiming for a headlong slash.

Ting! Kalsie deftly intercepted Timmy's attack, halting it with ease. He didn't give Timmy a chance to strike again, swiftly delivering a kick to the chest as he noticed a vulnerable opening.

Thug!

"ARGH!!" A strong pain like none other coursed through Timmy's body, forcing him to stagger back a few steps and collapse to the ground, clutching his chest.

"Timmy!!!" His concerned friend shouted his name, fear etched on his face.

"Shut up!!! I can handle it!!!" Timmy snapped angrily at his friend, determination to prove himself burning in his eyes.

"So, Timmy, is it? Do you still think you can defeat me?" Kalsie inquired calmly, studying the conflict within Timmy's eyes. In his previous attack, he had moderated the force of his kick to avoid causing serious harm, and now he was giving Timmy one final opportunity to reconsider.

"Shut the **** up! You are my ticket to those rewards!! With all those kill counts, my life would be at the top!!!!" But greed clouded Timmy's judgment, blurring the line between him and Kalsie, pushing him to make reckless decisions.

Seeing Timmy's behavior, Kalsie let out a weary sigh, feeling sympathy for how easily the allure of power had manipulated him.

"Just die for me!!" Fueled by anger, Timmy dashed toward Kalsie with a fierce expression.

"Timmy, don't!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Toby's voice echoed with worry, but Timmy's madness rendered him somewhat paralyzed with fear.

"Ranker #2 position is mine!!!" Timmy declared, attacking in the same manner as before.

However, Kalsie evaded Timmy's sword with swift agility, moving to his left and allowing Timmy to tumble forward due to his own momentum.

"WHA-!!!" With his back exposed and defenseless, Timmy fell victim to Kalsie's precise strike, the hilt of Kalsie's sword connecting with his nape.

"Unfortunately, I don't intend to die just yet. But don't think that I'm weak or soft-hearted for not killing you. It's just that I'm not like you, willing to dirty my hands over such trivial matters. Hopefully, you'll become a better person after this." Kalsie's words were lost on Timmy, who had already lost consciousness before collapsing to the ground.

As Kalsie turned to look at Timmy, something strange and unexpected occurred.

Swoosh! Timmy's entire body was engulfed in a radiant white light, leaving behind just two glowing orbs. These orbs resembled the ones they had obtained after defeating Dead Walkers, and, as Kalsie anticipated, they swiftly darted toward him and were absorbed into his body.

"Timmy!!" Timmy's friend, Toby, cried out in shock as he witnessed Timmy's abrupt disappearance.

"Y-You k-killed h-him..."
