Months had passed since Davy had taken in Miss General, whose real name was Sakura Suzuki, a 28-year-old woman. Initially, her relationship with Suzy had been strained, but over time, they found a way to get along. Sakura, fearing she'd be treated poorly, was pleasantly surprised that she was never mistreated.

They had been exploring dungeons for months until the government and guilds monopolized them. Guilds were formed once monsters were eliminated, and the government established the Awakeners Association. To prevent deaths, all Awakeners had to register and have their powers measured before dungeon hunting.

Davy found the registration process annoying, but not being registered would be worse as he wouldn't be allowed in dungeons. Determined to continue their hunt, they decided to register. He had already reached the required level to enter the tower [level 30] and was now at level 32 with a combat ability of 21,000. Despite having somewhat mastered his powers, he desired to grow stronger, and the tower was the only way.

Arriving at the Awakeners Association, they were met with a sea of people eager to register, but Davy's team stood out with their impressive gear. Whispers and stares followed them, the crowd talking behind their backs, focusing on Davy's missing left arm.

Ignoring the judgmental gazes, he approached the registration desk. The receptionist's smile faltered upon noticing his absent arm. Undeterred, he pulled out 50,000 Zin, the currency derived from dungeon coins, where 1 Zin equaled 15 USD.

"We came to register as hunters," he stated firmly, placing the money on her desk.

"Um, sir, it's not a good idea to be a hunter with just one arm. Please reconsider," she said, her face kind but her condescension evident.

"That's none of your business. Just hurry up and register us already," he retorted, annoyance etched on his face.

"Tsk, fine. If you die, it's your fault," she snapped back, clearly irritated by his defiance.

She registered them and directed them to wait for their names to be called for level measurement. As they walked away, a man deliberately bumped into Davy.

"Hey, one-armed loser, watch where you're going," he sneered, attempting to appear intimidating.

Ignoring him, Davy continued walking. Suzy and Sakura grew nervous as the man caught up, grabbing his shoulder.

"You dare ignore me, freak?" he hissed, his intent to harm clear.

"Haha, does he really think he can become a hunter with one arm?" mocking voices echoed in the background.

Laughter filled the air, even the girl who had registered them joined in. D]He removed the man's hand and stared at him blankly.

"Stop bothering me while I'm asking nicely," he said, his expression devoid of emotion.

"Pfft, what did you just say? I'm a level 7 hunter. A worm like you can't even dream of reaching my level," the man boasted, poking Davy in the chest with his finger.

The girls attempted to push the guy away, but it was too late. Davy, now seething with anger, unleashed his intimidation, filling the entire association building. The intensity was so strong that even those outside could feel it. With a swift motion, he grabbed the offender by the neck and hoisted him into the air, hurling him against the wall with such force that the entire room trembled. People inside were drenched in sweat, some even passed out. Suzy and Sakura, remained unaffected because his control has increased.

Afterward, he deactivated his power. Soon after, five guild masters and the association president descended from upstairs, questioning the crowd about the commotion and the mysterious aura. Moments later, they approached Davy, who stood waiting to have his level measured, although he deemed it unnecessary thanks to the system that revealed levels.

"Young man, are you the one who caused this scene?" one of the guild masters inquired, growing increasingly irritated by Davy's silence.

Ignoring them, he assessed their levels, realizing they were all below level 17. Unfazed, he walked away, prompting the guild masters to attack him. However, the girls effortlessly blocked their attempts. He fixed them with a sharp gaze, a hint of intimidation making them shiver, and they hastily retreated.

Entering the level measuring room, the scientist instructed them to place their hands on the crystal ball, but he refused. Instead, he approached the scientist, demanding their licenses with concealed levels. The scientist hesitated but, having heard of his recent feat, agreed to fetch the licenses, seeking the president's permission first.

The president, aware of the situation's gravity, promptly approved the request. Davy and his companions received their cards, their levels shrouded in secrecy.

"Good, now we can start hunting again," he said, smiling at the girls.

The girls blushed, and he looked at them, perplexed. Together, they exited the association, their presence silencing any potential gossip. A young girl dashed toward them, tugging on Davy's pants.

"Hello, you're Davy, right? I'm Ari. John told me to find you so you can protect me."

"John said that? Where is he, and why do I have to look after a brat?" he questioned, his displeasure evident.

"John is in the tower. He helped me and others escape, but he chose to go up the tower instead of leaving. He told me to come find you," she explained.

"So, 40% of people can leave or climb the tower if they complete it, interesting. But I still don't want to look after a brat," he replied, skeptical.

"Please, mister, don't leave Ari behind. I tried finding my parents and discovered they died searching for me. I have nowhere else to go." she clung tightly to his leg, tears streaming down her face.

"Dammit, fine."

He had a significant weakness when it came to kids; refusing them was impossible. He wiped her tears and lifted her up. While Suzy was accustomed to this side of him, Sakura was shocked and felt an unusual sense of warmth witnessing his unexpected kindness.

"Ahem, enough standing around, let's go. You guys need to level up quickly, and now we have another member we need to help grow. Sigh, what a pain."

They headed back inside and registered Ari in the same manner as themselves. After that, they immediately made their way to the closest dungeon, a C-rank necromancer dungeon.
