1 – Coach Yin Ling

In a gymnasium a middle age is supervising a U19 volley team's training. At his right there are youths practising service, and at his left youths doing muscular training precisely push-up.

This middle age is Yin Ling, today is his thirty-sixth birthday, and everything in his life now is about sport.

When he was 18 years old he weighed 125 kg, he was obese, there wasn't an inch of muscle in his body, he had trouble in simply walking and was bullied and mocked by his so-called friend.

Then he started sport, 1 hour per week to 1 hour per day to 4 hours per day, very quickly he got rid of his fat and started to grow muscle. He started playing various different sport at an amateur level: football, basketball, badminton and even diving. He loved them all and everyday he spend all his time with others people doing sport with him, that was the first time he felt he was welcomed, he felt in his shoes.

This lasted 2 whole years, but his living dream stopped brutally, he had two big problems. The first one was economic: he played only on amateur level and thus didn't earn a bit of cash. Of course he tried to go pro, but the selection was too hard for someone that started physical activities 2 years ago, he lacked physically and tactically.

And added to the second problem this was simply unrealistic. His second problem was his health. Yeah practicing sport regularly is very healthy, but is 12 hours per day during one year something his body could handle? No, clearly not and especially with his old erstwhile body. He started to have an algodystrophy in his knee right and his left hand suffice it to say that his possible career was already forgotten and an old dream.

What could he do now? He halted his studies for sport, well honestly with his school's experience he didn't want to go back in school for a second. He just wanted to live around sport and needed money badly. The only option he had was being a coach.

His beginning was hard, he kinda knew how to play the popular sport but not really how to explain it to someone else, his interaction with other could have been resume from 6 to 18 by "Why are you doing this" "I've never done anything to you why are you looking at me this way" " How much do I weight … why?" and from 18 to 20 by " Here" "Nice pass" "Let's go" and "Let's play again'" thus when he started he wasn't at ease at all. He progressively caught up to everything he lacked for being an average coach.
