The Challenge - Chapter 1

Michael Goldwood, a 35 year old Youtuber, who makes Vlogging challenge videos on they Youtube channel, 'Farenheit' had been challenged by one of his friends to go on a haunted mansion to record a video for his channel, if he managed to stay 5 hours in the mansion, his friend Andrew Harpel would give him 3,500 dollars as a defeat. Michael was sure that something like a ghost does not exist, so what he saw infront of him was just easy way to get a decent sum of cash. Due to the Youtube adpocalypse, many content creators including him were not earning even 40% of their earning before the incident. Adding that many of his videos were getting demonetized for swearing, he really needed some money to pay of the mortgage of his newly bought house.

On the other hand, Andrew harpel was the owner of the supposed 'Haunted mansion'. The record was that even though countless people attempted the 5 hour mark to get some free easy money, none of them even got close to it, with the maximum time someone had spent being 3 Hours and 12 Minutes. The scare of the haunted mansion was publicized on Youtube by other ghost hunting youtubers, mainly a Youtuber who was a friend of Michael made a video talking how the experience in there was terrifying and the video went viral to gain over 3.2 Million views. Other than getting easy money, getting loads of views for a video was also rewarding to go in the mansion.

He even believed that the video his friend made which went viral was faked and was staged by the both of them, The Youtuber and Andrew Harpel. He was so confident that the whole mansion was staged by andrew and a group of people as a team... Probably...

Michael was not alone on his Youtube, his cameraman, or camerawoman in this case was his girlfriend Emilie York. His cousin is the basic manager figuring out next vlog locations and editing the vlog and cutting it down to a reasonable time to watch. His crew was supposed to go on August 6th 2016, But due to programming errors, they moved it to August 13, which was Friday. Coincidence or not, he was happy to get more clicked by putting that to the title or video and was ready to enter the haunted mansion.

He had a 2 hour journey by his car to the mansion and was being weird to be exact. He was having hallucinations just by the thought of something actually being there, a panicking fear was going through his mind and had to stop the car in a rain because of his motion sickness kicking in alongside the scare. Even though he was arguably scared, he still wanted the money to pay his mortgage back.

It looked like things were going the complete disastrous way indeed.
