"Can I help?" Tony stood up and asked her, "You're thin. You might not be able to hold him."

"It's alright. I can walk by myself." Daniel stood straight up immediately and stopped putting his arm around Alice's shoulder, and then walked outside.

"Thanks, Tony. No need to bother." Alice followed Daniel out.

She stopped a taxi and went in the car with Daniel.

Daniel took a peek at her and asked deliberately, "Are you gonna blame me for ruining your date?"

"What?" Alice went, confused, "I don't blame you at all. I need to thank you, in fact."

"Thank me?" Daniel raised his eyebrows.

"Yeah. I was kind of embarrassed back there. I didn't know how to face him." Alice continued, "Now I can take you to hospital and that's a relief."

"So you took advantage of me?" Daniel went gloomy immediately.

"That's not true. I will take you to the hospital anyway." She thought for a while, "Both, I guess."

Daniel got lost for words.
