Soul Fever

Souls were existences that wouldn't be able to get ill. However, a rare case when a soul started to heat up was called a Soul Fever. The symptoms were fairly similar to human's fever, but the end was certainly not. Soul Fever usually happened to the weaker or younger souls. It usually happened because of soul energy overload or an increase in rank. Increasing one's rank didn't come for free. After all, there were no free lunches in this world.

When Liang Yan looked at Liang Heyun's body, she deducted that it was the latter. Because the Lady's powers escaped from the seal, Liang Heyun had to undergo a body refinement so he would be able to contain the Lady's powers. The same power was also helping him refine the soul. Liang Yan didn't know what would happen if Liang Heyun was able to contain all of the Lady's powers. Would Liang Heyun become a woman or would he stay a male? Perhaps fate was too mischievous. Putting the once revered lady into the soul of a boy.

Day and night, Hei Long watched over Liang Heyun. He took care of the boy. When the big shivered, he placed a blanked over his body. When the boy was breathing heavily, he took off the blanket and checked his whole system. Perhaps it was due to finding out that his current master was the Lady he dreamt of meeting once again...What a sad excuse.

Bai Long woke up on the third day, and never left Liang Heyun's side. As a devoted follower, he didn't let anyone touch Liang Heyun. It was nice, but sometimes it got annoying when Bai Long started to 'defend' Liang Heyun from the 'leecher' Hei Long.

"I told you, I'm just taking care of him!" Hei Long said, exasperated, "it was as simple as that, why can you not believe me?"

Bai Long shook his head repeatedly. On his face, a great reluctance could be seen.

"No! I don't believe you! I clearly saw with my own two eyes that he could become a she! On what qualms will you keep your claws to yourself? As a demonic dragon, I believe that you won't be able to keep them to yourself!" Bai Long said, his cheeks puffing, "and if that ever happen under my watch, that means the both of us have failed master!"

What kind of theory was that? Just because he was a demonic dragon, it didn't mean that he personally liked to mate with people outside of his mating season. In fact, he almost felt no desire to any beautiful ladies unless it was his mating season. In addition, he had not mated for almost four centuries, the first and last one being a ploy by a now dead family.

"You mated with a girl and you destroyed her whole family, what can you say for yourself? You will certainly destroy master's family after you mated with him!"

Hei Long : "..."

I wouldn't do that! I was forced at that time so of course I destroyed the family in a fit of rage.

At the very same moment, Liang Yan entered and saw this very scene.

"Ah, don't worry about me, you guys continue. I know that my twin is alluring no matter what gender she is," Liang Yan said before leaving the room.

Bai Long : ".. ?"

Hei Long : "..."
