Mysterious Power

Liang Heyun had never expected things to go...in a roundabout way. She preferred...to relax. Studying was only an escape from the world which haunted her all those years ago. Liang Heyun had never expected herself to own another spirit.

Half a year past her seventh birthday, the dreams stopped, but she started to have bizzare powers she herself didn't know. Liang Heyun thought that she knew the limits of her body, but sometimes, her body was stronger than she thought. Liang Heyun would enter a state where she was a beast, and others that were not in her pack...were preys.

She would turn violent, but it was only a split second. A minute change could earn a victory, and she knew of it. She didn't even know how to use it. Sometimes, she'd accidentally break doors (her parents didn't mind. The wooden door was too old anyways) and tables (they mind, because it's a 'glass' table). Having a power you couldn't control was bad. In the end, she learnt how to keep calm, and the power came out less often since then.

Was this Liang Yan the source of all these powers? Who knew.

Mr. Lee said that Liang Yan was powerful and she shouldn't misuse this 'Liang Yan'. Fillia said that Liang Yan was a high rank spiritual counterpart. The two told her that Liang Yan was powerful, and Liang Yan chose to be with her. Liang Yan had the same surname as her, could she be her ancestor?

"Greetings Ancestor Liang," Liang Heyun said, thinking that it might not work, "um...can I please have the power to close the door?"

The door to her room was open wide, but as soon as she said that, the door slowly creaked close. Soon, the door was closed, but not locked. Liang Heyun was surprised as she started to ask of different weird things. Liang Heyun found out that whenever she asked Liang Yan, what she asked for would happen, but whenever she said it herself, she couldn't do it.

'Don't tell me...,' Liang Heyun wasn't easily scared, but her family was once a big family, and they had information from the ancient times, although not much. She remembered one, called <Lore of The Crying Maiden>, although it was called a lore, it contained so much information.

The Crying Maiden was a woman of Liang, and she was forced to marry a man she wasn't in love with. In the end, she commited suicide. The Crying Maiden was a woman with high spiritual affinity, thus turning into a high rank spirit soon after. She flew to the man she loved, a foreign man of a foreign country, but he couldn't see her. Depressed, she started to reveal herself in the man's sleep.

The man heard her words, call her and she'll come. The man never knew her name in the end, although, he rose in power with her help. Some things that were not supposed to happen, happened because of the Crying Maiden's interference. The man was known all over the world, and he never took a wife.

It was said that all the women he took fancy after died. In the end, he didn't leave an heir, all of his glory was left behind.

But the Crying Maiden and this Liang Yan seemed so similar. Both were women of Liang, and both were spirits. Liang Heyun wasn't afraid of Liang Yan or the Crying Maiden, but she started to fear the worst.

She didn't fear them, she feared what they could do to her loved ones. Liang Heyun didn't know when she started to be able to control things, or was it Liang Yan's doing. Liang Yan did things like how the Crying Maiden did, they both did what their 'humans' asked them to. Liang Yan couldn't help her fly, but Liang Yan could strengthen her body, for a short period of time.

'But I can't get too attached to Liang Yan,' Liang Heyun shook her head, 'I might be single like the man the Crying Maiden loved. I still want a family.'

Unbeknownst to her, a spirit sadly stared at her, before tearing up a portal back to where she came from. From that very same portal, a group of armor wearing spirits came out, protectively circled around Liang Heyun while keeping watch.

"Is this Monarch's attached human?" one of the spirits asked, his face beautiful, akin a beautifully carved jade. On his beautiful face, however, was a look of contempt and disgust.

"Han Ku, don't disturb the miss' sleep," another soldier, with a similarly handsome face said, "this human, is very special to the monarch."

"Yes, Han Xiao is right," another handsome soldier said, "this girl...is Monarch's twin soul after all."

"She deserves to be respected."
