Family Dojo, 98% Spiritual Affinity! Genius!

The family dojo, Fuzhang Sect, was founded by a martial art genius in the Zhang family from more than a millenium ago. Although the original building was no more, the teachings were still stored safely by the Zhang ancestors.

That was why the teachings were still available now.

Liang Heyun didn't know why her Grandfather would suddenly propose her going to the dojo, but she indeed saw this laborous task coming.

She went to the dojo according to schedule, thrice a week, for two hours each time. But in these two hours, she did nothing but clean up, wash the uniforms and sometimes picking up herbs from the mountain behind the dojo. Her Grandfather knew nothing of this, and for three months, she did the same thing over an over again. There wasn't any martial arts manual passed on to her, and the teachers didn't like disrespect.

The teachers simply didn't favour her. She came really late after all. She was supposed to enter at the age of three, but this girl was really gutsy, entering at the age of thirteen. If she could make at least a tenth of the best disciple's progress in his entire lifetime, they might kill themselves in embarassment.

Liang Heyun sighed. She didn't really want to go to the family dojo. Now, she became their personal slave...

"Little girl, why are you here?"

Liang Heyun lifted her head and saw an old man, wearing white robes, looking like a saintly being. The old man noticed the emblem she had on her chest, and his eyes widened in surprise.

"You're a part of the Fuzhang Sect?" the old man examined the colour, "And you're a probationary disciple? What a surprise!"

"Well, I entered much more later than the other students after all," Liang Heyun smiled, "Grandpa, is there...anything I can help you with?"

The old man chuckled, "Actually, my age can be in par with your great grandfather!" The old man grinned. His teeth, although a bit crooked, were still white and clean. The old man also had little wrinkles. If not for the half-black half-white hair, Liang Heyun wouldn't know that he's old. She didn't dare call him uncle, and it was just a gut feeling of hers.

"Wow, Grandpa is that old?" Liang Heyun was surprised. Though, this proved that she was indeed correct about the old man's age.

"My name is Liang Guanzhong, an elder in Tailiang Sect," the old man showed an emblem on his chest, "I was just visiting the Fuzhang Sect right now, who knew that I will pick up a talent!"

"Huh?" Liang Heyun was confused. She was sure that she was no talent. Even the teachers had contempt towards how she entered the sect.

"Child, what's your name?" Liang Guanzhong asked. The old man had the same surname as hers, and he felt like family, unlike the people in the Fuzhang Sect....

"Liang Heyun," she answered, "My parents are Liang Yiming and Zhang Shuqin."

"Yiming...that boy is high in spiritual affinity but didn't like practicing martial arts..., and that Shuqin is also the pride of the Fuzhang Sect...I wonder why they didn't look at you with value...," Liang Guanzhong rubbed his short beard, "Well, I don't care. If they don't treasure you, then I will. In a few days, I'll come back to poach you."

"Thank you Grandpa Liang!" Liang Heyun bowed, "I don't think I deserve your care, but I'm really happy!"

"No worries, no worries," Liang Guanzhong patted Liang Heyun's shoulder, "Don't tell those teachers that you've met me though, they will try and downgrade you, or even replace you with their average students!"

"Of course!"

After Liang Guanzhong left, Liang Heyun continued her job, diligently washing the uniforms. Most of the uniforms were slightly yellow, or even orange-ish. They were covered in sweat and dirt. Sometimes, there were slight traces of mud on the uniforms. Mud took a long while for Liang Heyun to wash.

In addition, she was not allowed to go home if she hadn't finished her 'practice'. Liang Heyun sighed. When she finished the last uniform, she picked the bucket up, and walked back to the Fuzhang Sect's building.

"Good job for today!"

It seemed like...when she came, they were finishing off... She felt sorry for herself. She placed down the bucket, and wanted to go home, but the teachers...simply wouldn't let her off.

"Heyun, you haven't picked up herbs yet!" one of the teachers, a woman, shouted. Liang Heyun didn't know why the female population hated her. In the end, she carried a straw basket and walked into the mountains.

Unbeknownst to everyone in the Fuzhang Sect, Zhang Guo was going to pick Liang Heyun up that day, but Liang Heyun didn't show up even an hour after schedule. Zhang Guo was getting worried. He immediately entered the Sect he hadn't entered for six years.

Yes, Zhang Guo was a part of the sect before he had to go to university out of the country.

When he entered, what came to him was not the lovely figure of his student, but some female teachers fawning over him.

"Ah...Zhang Ge! You're back!"

These teachers were in the same generation as him. They were weaker in aptitude and spiritual affinity compared to him. Even if Zhang Guo trained in a spiritual scarce land, they would never be able to catch up to him. Zhang Guo was surprised to see Liang Heyun's shoes on the doorstep. Liang Heyun must still be inside.

"Zhang Ge! Since you're back, let's get a drink and get to know each other more!"

Zhang Guo was irritated. His student was still inside, he didn't know what she was doing, but he felt that it was more bad than good. Liang Heyun was a good student, so she had to be instructed to do dangerous things by people.

And only the teachers could have enough authority to tell the disciples what to do!

"Where's Heyun?" Zhang Guo had never felt so panicked in his life.

"Heyun? What's wrong? She's just a simple probationary disciple that will never advance all her life!" A teacher said, crossing her hands, "or, are you trying to gain her grandfather's favour by getting close to her? No need. Sir Zhang likes talent, and she's definitely no talent!"

The male teachers said nothing, as they were in charge of male students.

"I tell you, she's sent here because her spiritual affinity and aptitude is the best among the best!" Zhang Guo said, "but it was concealed perfectly we only found out recently!"

"She's the one with the highest spiritual affinity only second to souls!"

"She had the legendary 98% spiritual affinity, and it can even advance!"
