Recovery

They returned to the castle, guarding its air and land. It was surrounded by big and tall stone walls, with 9 post towers around them. A river divided the castle and the local roads with a bridge connecting both roads. A huge door was blocking the entrance of the castle field. Inside it is a field full of warriors training. Archers and swordsman occupied the field. Another huge door was also blocking the entrance into the castle, making it a really secured castle.

Magnus was observing his remaining warriors from his battle room. His battle room has all of his equipment and tools. In it was a big rectangular table, with papers on it. Several weapons were being hung up on the wall as decorations. There were also bookshelves, a few swords put on their stands, and 2 different armors. There was silence in that room as he was still observing the remaining warriors.

He was feeling a bit worried about the battles that had happened between their enemies. He can't stand looking at his warriors being knocked out, weakened. Suddenly, a knock was heard behind his door.

"Come in," He responded. A man with a small mustache entered while holding his helmet beneath his right arm.

"Excuse me, Emperor Magnus," He called. "Your presence is requested in the healing room," He told Magnus.

"Tell them I'll be there in a few minutes," He answered while still looking through his window.

"Of course," He replied. As he was about to leave, Magnus immediately said, "This needs to stop."

The man turned around to Magnus.

"This needs to stop. We need to stop. They need to stop!!" He said with his voice slowly getting louder and angrier. "Especially him! I can't stand seeing all of you being knocked out, weak," He exclaimed.

The man responded to his words. "Scorch is getting powerful, so does the Shadows."

"So are we," Magnus replied. He turned to the man and started walking towards the door. "Come. Let's get to the recovery room," He told the man.

They finally arrived in the recovery room. Warriors were being healed, recovered by healers who used healing equipment, potions, some were using healing spells to recover warriors who were knocked under dark magic.

"Master Kamui is looking for you, my Imperial Majesty," The man told him. "Take me to him," Magnus responded. The man took Magnus to Master Kamui, who was sitting close to Archer who was still recovering from the battle. After he took him, the man left, leaving the three behind.

"Hey, is he getting better?" Magnus asked Kamui. "The healer said it'll take time for him to be healed," Kamui answered with a worried tone.

Magnus sighed. "I'm worried about him," He said. Kamui responded with a concerned look on his face.

"You know, you should be worrying about yourself, Magnus," He exclaimed. "You can't join battles against our enemies. You're our Emperor for spirit's sake!" He stated. Kamui was worried about Magnus's actions. What if he dies or becomes weak until death? What if he was captured or gone missing in a battle? He shook those thoughts away and tell Magnus. "You have an empire to rule. A realm to lead. What if you, I'm sorry, die in a battle? You have nobody as the heir of the Spirit Realm," He explained.

He lifted his pointer finger in response. "Okay, We both know that me dying isn't possible. It's against the oath,"

"That's our oath, Magnus. Ours!" He shouted but not too loud. "We don't know theirs. They can just kill us during battles, but for some reason, they haven't killed one of us....which surprises me," He turned from a worrying face into a confused look as he said that.

He shook his head with a concerned look. "I can't stand seeing you all being weak, knocked out on the field. I need to do something,"

"Then do it by doing your job! Leading this empire, controlling this realm, you have more responsibilities besides protecting it," Kamui told Magnus. "And no doubt that you have a lot of problems throughout the empire," He smirked.

Magnus smirked back in response. "Okay, you're right. I do. So you're suggesting I should stay here?"

"Yes, for the Empire, us, the whole realm," Kamui answered.

Magnus was silent for a few seconds until he replied. "Alright, fine," He said. "I'll stay if there's a battle," They paused and turned to Archer who was still asleep. "That means we need more allies," Magnus told him. Kamui nodded in response. "Send them," He continued. "Send them out and find more warriors, worthy enough to fight with us, protect this realm. Oh and also send a spy to find out more of Scorch's plans," He ordered.

"As you wish," Kamui nodded and left to send "them" out. He left Magnus alone with Archer. He stared at Archer, hoping his friend can recover soon.

"Don't worry Archer," He said. "Once we have more help, we'll end this," He said to his unconscious ally.
