Slime Dragon

A single small vial rolled about between Alexander's hands while Markus brought them to a secluded training room in the basement of the main building. Many eyes had seen them all together wondering what could be happening. The students that saw Clark had already begun to gossip about the headmaster taking a student somewhere.

"Place the egg there and form your bond. We will watch over you to see what you can do." Markus was sure that Calrk had zero experience in this and would need guidance. He knew that Calrk was a young student and lacked a great deal of knowledge.

To the shock of Alexander and Markus, Clark held out a hand. "Do either of you have a small knife?" Alexander easily pulled one from his own spatial ring and handed it over. Curiosity ablaze within his eyes.

Clark then took off his shirt and began to wipe the central floor of dust. Both watch him with wonder since this was something many students would not know unless they went to a week or two of class. They did not know that the system Clark had, had already rewarded him with blood bonding beast taming array.

Once the floor was clean, Clark used the knife to cut his left palm. The blood pooled in his cupped hand. It was perfect for dipping a finger and painting the careful points of stars. In just over half an hour, Clark had drawn intricate patterns on the cleaned floor.

"I take it you did not teach him such things?" Alexander nodded to Markus's question. "Very interesting. He is not as simple as it seems. Even the Mane family would not hand down such a technique. I will watch him carefully."

"As will I. A promising student only comes once in a generation." Both current and previous headmasters watched as Clark finished his blood taming beast array, Clark was a little pale after, not realizing how it would affect him. Losing blood was always a big deal, but this was a lot more blood than he knew it would take.

"Here, take this." Markus poured a small amount of liquid on to Clark's palm. The shallow cut healed in a matter of seconds. "You should start carrying healing potions. They are much more valuable than you know. Especially the high ranking ones like this." Markus put it away since he had only used a few drops.

"I will remember that after I have completed some tasks to make a profit." Clark recovered his calm breathing and ensured that he would follow the advice. He did know that he lacked supplies and would need to plan accordingly. He didn't have any misgivings about the demands the wilds had on a person. If he did not begin to stockpile important supplies now he would forever be behind.

"Take this too. We will stand back and let you finish." Alexander handed the small vial of dragon blood to Clark. The pair were quick to move away. They knew the importance of this form of ritual. Any accidental interruption could harm the spirit tamer and the beast.

Clark carefully placed the egg in the center of the patterns he had drawn. Just as it touched down the energy within Clark's blood began to illuminate the red lines. They glowed with a red and golden hue. In the matter of a minute, the lanes had moved completely encasing the entire egg. Calrk could feel his energy being pulled from him. His soul was bonding with the egg at the deepest levels.

Devi could feel the new connection. This bond made it feel the warmth that came with bonding with another being the complete trust it would have in Clark and him. Both Clark and this new beast would be its family. Devi would burn heaven and hell to protect them. That was just the nature of the bond he had with Clark and now the new beast.

As if an unspoken signal went out, Clark opened the vial and tipped the dops of dragon blood on to the egg. Deep crimson droplets fell on to the glowing egg causing a vibrant glow. Pressure filled the room. Pressure that demanded those around to bow. If Clark was not in the process of bonding with the egg, he would have been crushed.

The essence that had created this dragon slime egg was not a dormant thing. It had nourished and caused this slime to come in to existence. All dragons demanded that the world itself bow to them if necessary, therefore, when the egg shell crack the pressure was released.

An intense amount of energy flooded Clark's body. He could feel the bond awakening properly. This was the same thing that had happened with Devi. Many tamers would feel high off of a feeling like this leading to a dangerous addiction of taking more and more beasts. This would eventually lead them to ruin. The constant strain on a being's soul would eventually tear it apart. That was why a tamer should never take a beast as theirs until they were strong enough.

Since Clark had trained his body for many years before Devi had hatched, he was well prepared for his second beast. This was one thing that Alexander had seen during the test. Clark had not begun sweating no matter how hard he pushed himself. The intense training that someone would have gone through to achieve that was another check on Alexander's list. A reason to train Clark further.

With a final crack, the egg burst open. The small red slime reared up in the shape of a dragon hatchling roaring aloud. It was not a roar meant to cause terror but one that signified a new dragon would rise in the world.

Just because this dragon was not a properly born dragon, it still possessed the essence and blood of a dragon. The very being of a dragon was more important, many relatives of dragons had the chance to become a proper dragons through training. The right materials were needed but the bloodline could be refined.

"Come here," Clark spoke using all his strength. The slime dragon walked slowly toward him becoming more and more defined in the shape of a dragon hatchling. The core of its being which had once been the boney shell was hidden away.

'Slime dragon hatchling- legendary

Recently hatched slime dragon. It is not discernable from a hatchling dragon. It can use its dragon transformation skill to take the shape of a dragon as long as it has energy. The core of its being is made of incredibly tough dragon bone. This allows for the slime to reform its body as long as the core is intact.

From its essence, it has been born with the skill dragon's roar which allows it to intimidate beasts weaker than itself. It also possesses the skills dragon claws and dragon bite. Both form tough claws and teeth from the slime its body is made up of. Due to its dragon essence, the slime dragon is incredibly resistant to all elemental attacks. The best way to refine the dragon's essence…'

"You will be named Crimson. Or, Crim for short. You and your sibling will be at the very top of the world." Clark affectionately patted the top of the slime dragon hatchling's head. He knew that this seemingly weak hatchling would grow. It would grow in to what others would fear.

"I would like some privacy to introduce Crim to his other family member. Can I have that?" Clark looked carefully at Markus and Alexander.

"You may do it here," Markus spoke without blinking an eye.

"I do not know if I can. Do either of you have any ties to the Mourne family? Can you swear on your soul never to speak of what you see here today?" The reaction that Crim had to this was to roar beside Clark. It was small, but the feelings it shared with Clark were telling it to defend his family.
