Chapter 45: News from Clifford's Mother

“I don’t want to wear it permanently, no. I just want to connect with the new look before my next audition, even though I don’t know when that’s gonna be,” Marielle responded to Clifford’s urgent question.

“I wonder how you girls manage to dance with the wigs on. It’s quite a feat,” Clifford remarked.

“If I like the look of the blonde wig I might choose to color my hair,” Marielle commented next.

“Blonde?” Clifford asked in a shocked tone of voice.

“Yes, blonde is a complete change from dark hair which reminds one of some vampire,” Marielle declared.

“I thought you and your grandmother already vanquished that fear,” Clifford responded.

“We have, but I just think that blonde hair will be therapeutic. It will lift my mood,” Marielle responded. “Okay, if you’re sure about that then I suppose you could try it,” Clifford remarked. “I will get the wig for you, then you’ll be able to decide,” he concluded.

Clifford could not understand what it was about girls and their hair.
