Recovery once again

I am conscious but I can't open my eyes. My body is immobile. The last thing I remember is me losing control. I purposefully triggered my survival instincts which got rid of my bodily limitations.

I was probably a mindless animal just prioritizing my own survival. I wasn't even thinking about my health. I remember nothing from back then.

My eyes lids are so heavy that I can't even lift them. I am not dead so I can guess that I won. That win cost me my body though.

I think my body is destroyed. Human body limits its power by a lot. Because our body won't hold up if we are always going at full strength.

I have to open my eyes to get a better idea about my current situation. I try to open them but alas! I can't even feel them.

My nerves are completely destroyed. I calm down and try to focus.

Yep, I can't hear anything. My breathing is also ragged. Short and frequent breaths throughout my mouth. So, I am currently going through sensory deprivation.

How will I get up? If this is the end of me, my final words are the same as before. It's regrettable but I will have to take my leave early.

Being completely deprived of my senses, I am no better than a living corpse. Yep, a corpse.

The situation was not looking good for Clive. Aside from his nerves being destroyed, his organs have become useless as well.

His heart is still beating but that's on the verge of stopping. His liver, kidneys, stomach, every bone in his body have been destroyed.

Not only that, his abdomen is pooling with blood. He will soon go into shock. His consciousness is slipping.

"That Clive! He really knows how to work someone hard."

Clive is nothing more than a corpse with an active mind currently. He can't hear anything. He didn't hear the person standing next to him. He didn't even feel him.

The person who appeared next to Clive is the mysterious man who showed up in Clive's dream before. Clive calls him Strauss.

Strauss is Samantha's younger brother who has sent Clive to this world. His main goal was to prepare Clive so he can save his sister. But his own expectations were shattered.

Clive went ahead and did what he never thought was possible.

Strauss is heavily covered in what looks to be a hazmat suit. He is covered from head to toe.

"This place is so dreary and dead that any living thing would die. How the hell are you alive in such a place?"

It was Strauss himself who sent Clive there. But he was a bit careless. He forgot to put protective magic on him to protect him from this environment.

However Clive didn't even notice that. Strauss heaved a sigh of relief that Clive was not bothered by the environment.

"Go ahead. Heal him."

Strauss puts down the weird creature next to Clive. This creature is a resident of this world. Even others wonder where did it come from. But it can anything back to its original state so Strauss is using it to heal Clive.

"You are okay in this ruined world, you can eat the ruined animals, you can even defeat ruined monsters with just a human body. You defeated A Naga while being a human and you are somewhat alive after fighting the fallen Kong. As I thought, you are a monster beyond reason."

Strauss shivered as he saw the weird creature enlarge and swallow Clive whole.

He left a set of clothes for him and his set by the side and disappeared.

"I expect you to save my sister and put an end to the senseless violence in our world." (Strauss)

One trial remains in front of Clive. After that he will go home. But things will chnage on the other end as well. He will be pressed to choose.

I am back. Some people smoked too much crack and decided to protest against the government. Internet connection was cut for a week and the curfew is still on. For that reason, this is a short chapter.
