Battle of the Delhi Border - 02

Aditi summons her spirit again and goes to the location told by Avni. She finds 6-7 injured people there. She goes to them and slowly brings them to Avni and Tessa. Upon coming back to them she sees Rohan there resting. Aditi asks, "You here means, Captain and Ray are fighting on the frontlines alone?"

Rohan replies, "Yeah. But don't worry, less than a hundred entomorphs are remaining. Those two can clear that. We'll be laughing at the Lost Eden's reinforcements when they get here."

Aditi says, "That's good then. Please all of you sit here in line. If you're injured, raise your voice and we'll heal you."

Two of them say they are injured and Tessa heals them.

Meanwhile, on the frontlines, Ray slashes down another entomorph and his knife breaks. He throws the broken knife away and takes out his last knife. He says, "Captain Lee, this is my last knife. If this breaks I won't be able to fight anymore regardless of my spirit energy."

Captain Lee replies, "It's okay. These are probably the last. Kill them and we can rest easy."

Ray nods.

Back to the resting area, a rescue VToL lands to take the civilians away. But just as the last civilian would get on the jet Tessa notices something. He tells the man to stop and goes close to him. The man looked pale and was wearing a big hat. Tessa says, "Please, let me diagnose you. You look pale."

Tessa raises her hand and takes off the man's hat and gets horrified as she sees the man's head missing most of its rear side. She jumps back and screams. Suddenly all of the men start attacking the Jaegers. The two pilots get out of the cockpit. One of them holds a man's shoulder and asks, "What's the commotion about?"

The man quickly turns back and before the pilot could understand anything tears his hand off. The man then kicks the pilot, sending him flying towards the cockpit door. The pilot's body slams at the cockpit door. The other pilot gets horrified seeing this and aims his pistol at the man. He says, "What are you doing?" The man starts walking towards the pilot. The pilot says, "Stay where you are. Don't. I'll shoot." As the man doesn't stop, the pilot shoots the man. Two bullets hit the man right in his heart. But the man doesn't stop. He reaches the pilot and picks him up by his neck. As the pilot struggles to free himself from the man's grasp, the man strangles the pilot and throws the lifeless body of the pilot next to the other pilot.

Outside the plane, Aditi, Avni, Tessa, and Rohan were trying to understand the situation. The men start to attack the four of them.Rohan yells, "Tessa, Avni get behind me."

He summons his spirit and fires a rocket a few meters away from the man and yells, "Stop where you are. Next time I won't miss."

But the men don't stop. They keep walking. Aditi aims her rifle and fires at two of their legs. But to their surprise, it doesn't even make them flinch. Rohan looks at Aditi and says, "What the fuck is going on here? Are these even people?"

Suddenly a man increases his speed and gets close to Aditi. Before Aditi could do anything the man grabbed both of Aditi's hands and lifted her in the air. Rohan runs towards Aditi, but before he could reach her, the man pulls and tears off both of her arms. Aditi screams in pain as warm blood starts spraying out of her shoulders. Rohan aims at the man and fires a rocket. The rocket blasts the man's body into pieces. Tessa runs to Avni and starts healing her wound. Avni asks her spirit, "What's happening? Who are these people? Can you sense anything?"

Avni's spirit replies, "My senses are picking them up as humans but their behavior...I think They've been infected."

"What do you mean?"

"Most Probably some sort of parasite entomorph has taken over their brain once they died. They should stop once their brain is disconnected from their body."

Avni yells, "Rohan, Aim at their heads. Don't freeze. They're already dead."

Rohan looks at her and nods.

Avni sighs and sits down. As soon as she does so a voice sends shivers down her spine, "You're being annoying. I think I'll make you my pawn first."

Avni quickly turns back and sees a humanoid entomorph. The entomorph was wearing a tuxedo and had a cane in his hand. Avni tries to back off but before she could the man hits her with the cane and she goes flying and hits a broken wall. Rohan gets anxious and tries to run to Avni but an infected grabs him. Rohan tries to get free but fails. In a desperate attempt, Rohan shoots a rocket at the infected. The rocket blows on the infected. Rohan gets blown too. He flies off to a distance. The front part of his body is fully burnt. In some places, his bones were being seen as the meat of the place had blown off. Rohan tries to get up to help Avni but loses consciousness. Avni tries to get up but fails. The entomorph comes to her and picks her by her hair. He then throws her again towards another building. Avni's body hits the building at high speed and Avni falls down. The hit breaks Avni's spine and she cries in pain.

Tessa finishes healing Aditi. She manages to reattach Aditi's hands. Once she's done she looks at the entomorph. Tessa's canary says, "It's bad, kid. You should run. It's a prime. You all aren't powerful enough to defeat him."

Tessa says, "We can't leave anyone behind. Help me."

Tessa runs towards Rohan's unconscious body. Avni tries to stand up to run as she sees the prime coming her way but fails. Aditi runs to her and picks her up on her shoulder. She summons her rifle and starts shooting at the prime while slowly moving back. The bullets seemed to do nothing to the prime as he kept coming towards them. The prime reaches them picks up both of them together and says, "That's enough."

He slams both of them to the ground. Their lives leave their body before they could even let out a noise in pain.
