Chapter 96: Siblings can be annoying

[3rd POV]

Getting to Ikki was easy enough, considering she was simply in a cave with some baby sky bison. And with a bit of walking, the girls had found her.

"Is there room for four more?" Gwen asked, as she walked into the cave, causing Ikki to jump slightly, before turning, her eyes widening in surprise at the sight of Gwen, M'gann, Raven, and Artemis.

"Oh, hi Miss Gwen! Um...yeah, there is! You aren't going to tell my dad, are you?" Ikki asked, causing Gwen to chuckle softly and shake her head.

"Nope, I thought a tea party could be fun. Plus who wouldn't want to meet these adorable guys" Gwen said as she pet one of the sky bison, the girls doing the same with two of the others, cooing as they let out cute noises, especially the one Gwen was petting.

"The one you're petting is blueberry spicehead, the one miss Raven is petting is Princess Rainbow, that's Twinkle Starchild, and that's Juniper Lightning Bug. They're my new brothers and sisters" Ikki said with a smile as she introduced the sky bison with the...interesting names she had given them.

"Hmm? New brothers and sisters? But what about Jinora and Meelo? Not to mention little Rohan" Gwen asked, as she sat, the girls sitting next to her.

"They're mean! Jinora is too serious and doesn't have any fun, and Meelo is stupid and always makes a mess" Ikki replied with a huff, causing Gwen to let out a small laugh.

"You know, I've got a sibling too, so does Artemis" Gwen said, causing Ikki to blink in surprise.

"Really?" She replied, looking between the two.

"Oh yeah, my sister. She's annoying as can be, but at the end of the day, she is my older sister, and that's sort of what they do" Artemis replied.

"I've got a little brother, he's a trickster sorta like Meelo but without the...Meelo-ness. And even though he can get annoying sometimes, and I can be annoying to him, we've still got eachothers backs, why? Because we're siblings, and it's normal that we fight and argue and tease. And I don't think you really hate them, do you?" Gwen said, causing Ikki to look down.

"...No, but they can be so annoying!"

"Yep, but that's just how siblings are. And they probably love you just as much as you love them, even if they can be annoying sometimes" Gwen replied with a small smile, causing Ikki to smile in return.

"So...can we stil do the tea party? And then after we can go back?" Ikki asked, causing the four of them to look at one another, before back to Ikki.

"We'd love to, Ikki"

Turns out having a tea party with a bunch of sky bison and a young girl was...fun? It was more funny than fun itself, but Gwen had to admit that she enjoyed herself. Tenzin had listened in to a lot of the talk, as Gwen knew, so she was sure the man had apologized to his siblings while they had their tea party of sorts.

The group was walking up the stairs to the current residence of Tenzin and his family, a large house that was made for him.

At the sounds of footsteps, the group looked over to find Ikki walking with Gwen and the girls. The group being Tenzin, Pema, their kids, Bumi, and Kya.

Pema breathed a sigh of relief and ran over to Ikki "Sweety you're okay! Oh! I was so worried!" Pema said as she hugged Ikki close, before turning to Jinora and Meelo.

"Do you have something to say to your sister?" Pema asked the two.

"Ikki, I'm glad you're back" Meelo said with a happy grin. He had missed his sister, even if she could be annoying.

"Yeah...sorry we made fun of you" Jinora said genuinely.

"Thanks...wanna play air ball?" Ikki asked, having already forgiven them, thanks to the talk Gwen gave her.

"Sure!" "Yeah!" The two replied, excited to play, as the children ran off to play air ball. All arguments and hate that held towards one another, disappearing in an instant.

"Thank you so much, Gwen" Pema said to Gwen who just chuckled. Not really needing to be thanked, as it was a simple task.

"It's not a problem, Pema, really" Gwen replied, not minding the search and tea party. The tea party itself was pretty fun, and even more amusing than anything.

"Well either way, it still means a lot" Pema said, causing Gwen to smile as Pema walked off to keep an eye on them.

"You could have joined us, you know" Gwen said, turning to Tenzin. As she wouldn't have minded, it would have been amusing to watch the older man play tea party with a bunch of girls.

"You noticed me?" Tenzin replied in surprise, as he knew that Gwen didn't look around or anything.

"Mmhmm, I've got some strong senses, so it wasn't hard to notice you. Especially since your old and breathe loudly" Gwen replied with a shrug, causing the man to scowl before walking off after his wife, leaving an amused Gwen in his wake.

"You girls wanna join me in meditation?" Gwen asked, turning to them.

They all looked at one another before nodding, as they did enjoy their little meditation times. It was a good way of increasing their control over their aura, simply sitting in peace, and growing their connection to themselves.

"Well then, let's find a proper spot"

Sitting with her legs crossed, and her eyes closed, Gwen was currently meditating, the girls doing the same around her, all of them sat quietly and serenely as they focused on nothing but themselves, Gwen more than any other.

She was "Gazing" into herself, the deepest depths of her consciousness, her being. Ignoring her memories, she was gazing deeper, into the lives that made up her being, and the way they seemed almost...incomplete?

Gwen had noticed it the first time she meditated. Her characters as they were dubbed, didn't seem to be "Whole" they were missing fundamental parts of themselves, parts that Gwen had, but simply hadn't found or...unlocked yet.

The more she gazed "within" the more she realized that something within her was locked, something was...missing, and she didn't like it, not even remotely. She wasn't sure if it was some form of power, or if it was something else, but whatever it was, it was important to her being, important to the characters that make up her being.

Looking more into herself, Gwen sighed and thought.

'I'll find out what this is...even if it takes me years'

That's the end of the chapter!

More slice of life stuff and talking about the thing she has been meditating for.

Next chapter will be longer, and will probably be the return of Korra to them, or that'll be the chapter after, one of the two. This little Mini arc was never meant to last long.

Anyways, have a good day!
