Spider-Verse: Creeping Hunger

In a wild twist of fate, I, a random person from another universe, find myself transmigrated into the body of Peter Parker from Gwen Stacy's universe, Earth 65B. But there's a catch - this version of Peter Parker was destined to die, paving the way for Gwen Stacy, the Ghost Spider to fall in love with Miles Morales. Well, let me tell you, I'm not going down without a fight! First things first, death is not on my to-do list. Nope, not happening. Secondly, did I mention I refuse to die? Yeah, it's a firm no from me. Thirdly, you guessed it, I absolutely refuse to meet my untimely demise. P.S: Just to make things interesting, I am gonna put some dirt in everyone's eyes!! ~ I will be posting on RR as well.

Tobey cast a fleeting glance in Andrew's direction, his eyes briefly catching the intense gaze Andrew fixed on Peter, who was steadily advancing towards Norman Osborne.

With a thoughtful expression, Tobey brought a finger to his chin, a clear indication of the contemplation swirling within his mind.

As the milliseconds ticked by, he finally voiced the question that had been simmering in the air,

"Do you believe he will win?"

Fixated on Peter's retreating figure, Andrew's gaze remained locked onto his form as he began to nod, a gradual and deliberate affirmation that mirrored the burgeoning trust welling up within him.

Strangely, a deep sense of confidence seemed to take root in Andrew's consciousness. With a measured tone, he conveyed his optimism,

"I believe he will. It's just that... I'm curious about his abilities."

Tobey narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze growing more focused as he mulled over his observations. After a moment of contemplation, he shared his insight,

"You know, I actually caught a glimpse of this sort of violet lightning or something..."

Andrew acknowledged Tobey's words with a nod of agreement, acknowledging that he had also witnessed the phenomenon.

However, a gradual transformation overtook Andrew's countenance, a subtle shift that hinted at a growing unease.

Despite his inability to pinpoint the cause, a moment of realization mingled with a touch of apprehension, prompting him to voice his unsettling thought,

"Wait a minute, where exactly is Electro?"

Tobey looked at Andrew, confused as he spoke.

"Is that some kind of an energy drink?"

Andrew's response was swift and decisive, his head shaking in vehement denial as his hands gestured animatedly to underscore his point. Frustration and urgency laced his words as he corrected the misconception,

"No, no no, how do I explain? He is basically a dude that got electric powers after an eel bit him."

A flicker of understanding illustrated Tobey's features, he uttered, "Oh, I see now." His sentence trailed off, a slight hesitation marking his next words.

With a quick glance around their environment, Tobey's sentence took an unexpected turn, his voice lowering as he concluded, "Well, at least no one bit our… umm…" He scanned the surroundings once more, ultimately shaking his head, his unfinished thought hanging in the air, "I can't spot Electro anywhere."

Andrew's affirmation came in the form of a resolute nod. "Precisely," he concurred. His voice took on a measured tone as he proceeded, "Now, when it comes to Evil Parker, or as he likes to be known, the Lover, he wields the very same electric abilities as Electro, albeit amplified... and curiously enough, there's no sign of Electro in sight."

Tobey's gaze shifted stealthily between Andrew and Peter, his voice dropping to a hushed tone as he cautiously posed his question,

"Could it be that you're hinting at the possibility... that something might have happened to Electro, leading to our alternate version somehow inheriting his powers?"

Andrew's eyes narrowed slightly as he glanced between Tobey and Peter, "Yeah, no kidding. I mean, who would've thought? Electro suddenly MIA, and now we've got this Evil Parker, or the Lover – seriously, who comes up with these names?" His lips quirked into a half-smile, a characteristic touch of his persona showing through. "But hey, crazier things have happened in our world, right?

Tobey hummed lightly, right at that moment they heard the sound of a few people coming toward them. Turning around they saw, Aunt May and Dr. Strange.

Tobey's eyes widened in disbelief as he found himself momentarily speechless, his head bobbing in a dumbfounded manner.

Meanwhile, Andrew assumed a self-assured stance, crossing his arms with a hint of pride as he glanced at Tobey, a knowing smile playing on his lips. "See, I told you," he declared with a touch of playful triumph, "She's alive and well."

Andrew took a purposeful step forward, his face lighting up with a heartfelt smile as he extended a warm greeting,

"Hello, Aunt Ma-"

Just as he was about to welcome Aunt May, she ignored him and rushed ahead, joining Peter as he walked toward Green Goblin and Tom Parker.

"Wow! You should've seen the expression you had going," Tobey exclaimed, his laughter bubbling forth uncontrollably.

Andrew let out an incredulous snort, a hint of offense evident in his expression as he shook his head in disbelief. Despite his attempts to brush off Tobey's amusement, the latter was still caught up in laughter.

In the midst of this, Dr. Strange stood alongside them, his presence commanding attention as he addressed the group.

"Should your merriment be concluded, gentlemen?" Dr. Strange's voice resonated with a composed authority, drawing the attention of the group. "The Machina di Kadavus remains intact, courtesy of your alternate self who managed to salvage it from destruction. I intend to retrieve it, and I invite any willing volunteers to accompany me."

Andrew's features took on a contemplative cast, his brow furrowing slightly as he countered,

"You really think he's not gonna hand over the cube thingy? I mean, he did save Aunt May, MJ, and even Ned. He seems like a decent guy."

Dr. Strange's nod was measured as he pressed on, his voice retaining a composed cadence.

"The Green Goblin did mention that Evil Parker reveled in chaos during their initial confrontation. It takes a certain level of understanding to identify such tendencies – after all, only a lunatic can truly recognize another. And let's not forget that your alternate Aunt is now a part Lizard."

Andrew's jaw visibly dropped, his disbelief evident in his voice as he exclaimed, "Wait, when did that even happen?? I mean- I specialize in dealing with Lizards."

Tobey's lips curled into a smug smile as Andrew scoffed and emitted a dismissive 'pshh' sound, accompanied by an eye roll. Andrew retorted, his tone tinged with a touch of skepticism,

"Seriously, come on. We can't be certain he'll actually do that, right? It's just a possibility we're throwing out there."

Tobey's shoulders lifted in a nonchalant shrug, his response succinct, "Guess we'll find out."
