Chapter 45

"Revenge." A trace of confusion flickered in Harry's eyes. "Can I really get revenge? But that damn bug is really powerful."

"Coward!" the person in the mirror erupted in anger, rebuking, "You're a coward!"

"No! I'm not a coward! I've sent Dr. Octopus to capture him! I will kill him with my own hands!" Harry roared in anger.

As he spoke, he fiercely hurled the unsheathed dagger at the mirror.

Clang!

With a crisp sound, the full-length mirror was shattered directly, and the shattered pieces fell to the ground.

To Harry's astonishment, a secret room was revealed behind the broken mirror! The secret room was covered in cobwebs and dust, as it hadn't been accessed in years.

At the end of the path inside the secret room, there was a door!

After hesitating for a moment, Harry cautiously made his way through the shattered mirror and walked along the path toward that door.

Step.

Step.

Step.

The clear footsteps echoed in the secret room.

As he approached the door, Harry's heart couldn't help but race faster.

Finally, he stopped in front of the door and reached out, placing his hand on the dusty doorknob.

He had a strong feeling.

He was certain that something was calling out to him from behind this door!

Creak...

With a groan, layers of thick dust fell from the wooden door, which hadn't been opened in a long time. The dust soiled Harry's neatly arranged hair and expensive clothes, making this privileged young man look like a street beggar.

But at this moment, Harry had no interest in paying attention to his appearance.

His eyes stared fixedly at an object placed on a shelf next to the door.

It was a green metal mask, with menacing fangs, resembling a demon from shinto myth or something.

Of course, he recognized this thing.

Two years ago, a supervillain wearing green armor and armed with high-tech weaponry wreaked havoc in New York. He possessed high-explosive pumpkin bombs and a glider capable of high-speed flight, causing chaos in the city center.

However, he vanished inexplicably later.

Some said that he had been defeated by Spider-Man and turned over a new leaf.

Others claimed that he left for another city after being defeated by Spider-Man.

But now, Harry knew that they were all wrong.

The reason he didn't appear was that he was dead!

As it turned out, his father was the Green Goblin!

Buzz...

At that moment, the lamp behind him suddenly lit up.

Harry turned to look and saw a row of shelves installed in the wall behind him. On the shelves, neatly arranged, were rows of fist-sized spherical objects resembling pumpkins.

These were the pumpkin bombs that the Green Goblin often used!

This further confirmed his father's identity.

Since the armor and pumpkin bombs have appeared, Harry continues to walk inside.

Soon, a workbench appears before him.

On the workbench, there is an unassembled glider!

Harry walks to the table and gently places his hand on the glider.

He may be young, but as the son of the CEO of a technology conglomerate, his knowledge is certainly not lacking.

This glider, along with the rows of pumpkin bombs behind him, is the power he needs for revenge!

It is the true legacy left to him by his father!

He turns around and sees an open compartment next to him, inside of which lies a glass tube.

Taking the glass tube, the green liquid flows quietly as the tube tilts.

The cold sensation penetrates his palm and gradually freezes his heart.

Thump!

A sound reverberates.

Immediately, the building trembles slightly.

One sound, one tremble, in perfect rhythm.

Ordinarily, Harry, as an ordinary person, would not have noticed this kind of movement, but this secret room is designed quite ingeniously.

Combined with the absolute silence in the room, he immediately perceives it.

What's more, this familiar feeling, he has experienced it before!

It's Dr. Octopus!

Harry squints his eyes slightly, carefully puts the glass tube filled with green liquid back into the compartment, and closes it.

Then, he goes to the shelf and picks up a pumpkin bomb, testing it in his hand. Satisfied that it fits perfectly in his hand, he holds onto it.

After doing all this, Harry closes the secret room's door and walks back along the corridor of the first secret room he came through, heading outside.

When Harry exits his father's room and returns to his own room, he finds that there are already two unexpected guests waiting for him.

One is the "old acquaintance," Dr. Octopus!

And the other is unexpectedly Mary Jane!

"MJ?" Harry hurries forward. "Otto, what do you want to do to her? Let her go!"

Seeing Harry's performance, a faint smile curls on Dr. Octopus's lips.

It seems that his clever choice was not wrong.

There must be some secret relationship between this little gold digger and this clean-cut pretty boy.

But wait, isn't this little shit Peter's girlfriend?

He remembers seeing the two of them being affectionate in a café not long ago.

With these thoughts in mind, Dr. Octopus glances curiously at Mary Jane, who is held tightly by one of his mechanical tentacles.

However, soon he loses interest in this question.

What do the romantic entanglements of young people have to do with him?

Right now, he only wants to get the tritium and then return to continue his great experiment!

Otto Octavius, or Dr. Octopus, is destined to become the world's greatest scientist!

Because he will harness the power of the sun and possess unlimited energy!

These beautiful aspirations bring Dr. Octopus back on track.

He lifts Mary Jane into the air, immediately causing her to let out a terrified banshee-like scream that annoyed the ear wax out of Otto, but he persevered as he turned to Harry and demanded.

"Now, give me the tritium! Otherwise, I'll let her die right in front of you!"

"No, this isn't what we agreed on!" Harry retorts angrily.

He still maintains some composure, not wanting to expose the fact that he sent Dr. Octopus to capture Spider-Man in front of Mary Jane.

"Is that so? Then you can watch her die!" Dr. Octopus coldly sneers, and the mechanical claws at the end of his tentacles start exerting force.

Mary Jane emits continuous and desperate screams as her bones audibly creaked.

"Stop, please stop, you bastard!" Harry wildly shouted as he pleads, growing anxious.

He clenches his teeth, turns around, and rushes to the wall. He pushes aside a mural on the wall, revealing a hidden safe behind it.

Harry quickly enters the code and opens the safe.

Inside the safe lies a well-crafted high-pressure container.

And inside this high-pressure container is the very thing Dr. Octopus has been yearning for - the radioactive element, tritium!

At the sight of the tritium, Dr. Octopus becomes immediately excited.

He casually tosses Mary Jane onto the nearby sofa and uses one of his mechanical tentacles to push Harry away.

At the same time, he finds himself involuntarily drawn towards the tritium, walking towards the safe.

And just then...

"Die, you bastard!"

Accompanied by a furious roar, a round object is hurled fiercely by Harry towards Dr. Octopus!
