"Oh my God, is it that really true?"
"No way, that's incredible!"
"Was there me? Did you see me?"
It took less than a second for these guys to go from being scattered in all directions to surrounding Mark.
Mark felt like he had thousands of ducks quacking next to his ears.
His brain were buzzing..
"Stop, stop, stop!" Mark hurriedly threw up his hands while yelling, "Are you guys trying to kill me with a sonic attack or what?"
The voices stopped and the Spider-Men all had embarrassed looks on their faces.
The most mature and steady of them all, Shadow Spider-Man, came forward to take the lead.
He held up his hands and gestured, "Quiet, everyone, one by one, ask questions."
"Me first, me first!" Miles squeezed in under middle-aged Peter's armpit and looked at Mark, curious, "Is it true that there's no me, I mean, as Spider-Man in that world of yours?"
"No."
"Then could it be that your world has people who can travel through time and space and that's how you learn about us in so many different worlds?"
Hearing that, Mark hesitated for a moment.
He was originally going to deny it outright.
But thinking that something as bizarre as travelling had happened to him, what if there really were other people who had similar experiences?
"I suppose, no, right? Our world is still relatively harmonious on the surface, and although there are war zones, we haven't heard of any such existence of superheroes or super criminals." Mark weighed his words for a moment.
"Then your world doesn't seem to be quite like any of ours, does it?" Middle-aged Peter's tone revealed a kind of envy.
Mark shrugged, "Maybe it's because I was too ordinary in the past to be exposed to it? Who knows?"
"Well, then, can you tell us the story you know?" Middle-aged Peter said.
Mark nodded.
He then gave a general rundown of the storylines he had read about Spider-Man's work.
The main ones were the first Toby Spider-Man trilogy, the second Andrew Spider's two-part Amazing Spider-Man, and then about the stories in the games that he had played.
He even intersperses parts of the reunion storyline in between.
"Tck." middle-aged Peter smacked his lips, "That story of whatever Toby Spider you're talking about is surprisingly similar to my experience, but that was over a decade ago. "
Mark's mind was clear.
He had also originally made some guesses about where middle-aged Peter was coming from, thinking that he was closer to the first version, and now it seemed that the guesses were right.
Because version 1 and 2 were standalone stories, not tied to the Homecoming, there was naturally no Iron Man to act as their mentor and father-figure.
Version 1 focused more on "mutation".
Even the spider silk was produced from his own body.
This is the biggest difference between him and version 1 and 2.
The second version of Spider-Man was a good inventor, and he made his own web shooters.
This is quite similar to the late Spider-Man in their current world.
Looking at middle-aged Peter, he's clearly more like a version 1.
And now it's kind of solid from his own mouth.
"Wow - The third version of Spider-Man is so cool, isn't it? He's basically rich by having that Iron guy as mentor. If that was me, won't that mean I can buy as many consoles as I want and eat as much candy as I want?" Peni's eyes lit up with envy.
"Yeah, yeah, I wonder when I'll get to go to his world and I'll make him treat me to a hot dog! Just the super duper luxurious double version!" Spider-Ham also said with a daydreaming look.
"It does seem that your world is very special," Shadow Spider-Man said with a straight face, "I'd like to visit it one day."
Mark laughed, "That's better not, I'd have to cry my eyes out if something so dangerous happened in my world too."
"Hahahaha-" The crowd broke into laughter.
"Well, back to business," Mark said with a straight face after a bit of banter, "let me tell you what I know about Miles."
He looked over at Miles.
Immediately, Miles puffed up his chest, looking like a good student waiting for guidance from his teacher.
"First things first, the spider that bit you."
"It was created by Norman Osborn's attempt to replicate Spider-Man's powers."
"And because of that, you gained abilities that are, by and large, similar to Spider-Man's."
"For example, your super-physical powers, which are the strength contained in your body. Since the spider that bit you and Peter's should belong to the same category and have similar properties, your strength should also be similar to Peter's, which is between 15-20 tons."
"In addition to that, super physical ability is also reflected in endurance and agility, your body is enough to support you to withstand powerful impacts tens of times more than normal people, and your sensitivity and balance are also at the top level among humans."
"All Spider-Man's reflexes are 20 times faster than those of ordinary people, or even higher. When combined with his spider-sense, he can dodge most attacks, such as bullets."
"There is also the ability of adhesion, which is the ability to crawl on walls using a principle similar to static electricity."
"All of these are regular abilities that I think everyone is aware of. Miles, you must have them too." Mark said.
Miles nodded his head repeatedly.
Although everyone else had already known and mastered these abilities, they all just listened quietly and did not interrupt Mark's words.
Mark continued, "The next thing I want to talk about is your unique ability, Miles."
Mark's body stood a little straighter.
Mark held up a finger, "The first ability, called 'Venom Blast', is what you just called Electric Shock. When your hands come into contact with your enemy, by energising the energy in your body, you can conduct the energy in your body to your opponent. When the energy is low, it can paralyse the enemy; if the energy is high, it can even shock the opponent directly to death. This move will work wonders against those enemies who have been genetically modified."
Miles' eyes widened and he raised his hands, "Does my body really contain such a powerful force? But why can't I feel it at all?"
Mark nodded affirmatively and said, "I am sure that you do have a very powerful force in your body. Your instant burst of power is even higher than theirs."
Shadow Spider-Man crossed his arms, "We're still here, man."
Middle-aged Peter, on the other hand, cautiously reached out his finger and poked Miles' upraised hand as if to confirm something, "Are you sure about that?" (A/N: Insert John Cena meme)
Gwen, Penny and Spider-Ham also had a skeptical look on their faces, clearly not believing the point that Miles has more explosive power than them.
