8 May 2013, three o'clock in the morning.

Abandoned warehouse district.

Spider-Man.

I run across the roof and, hidden behind a water tower, watch Beetle frozen, on the opposite roof.

"What's the plan, Bearer?"

"Simple, to infiltrate quietly, there's no way, and I don't want to. Even if Octavius has assembled this boyband to kidnap some senator or nuke and I'm completely unaffected, it's not unreasonable to show that I'm mindful of them."

"So you mean?"

"I'm going to attack Beetle and then I'll take it as it comes, if I do, be ready, I'll give the go-ahead."

"Roger that, Bearer."

Checking the web-shooters and setting up the electro-web.

I jump to a neighbouring roof and crawl up the wall to the top. Beetle is surveying the rooftops from the east, I'm exactly at his back.

I run forward and fire two strands, catching the mercenary by the satchel. I activate the discharge and the Beetle's wings fail after a terrible surge of electricity. Without losing concentration, I jump up and throw Beetle underneath me, driving his body into the roof.

Whether the masonry surface was loose, or whether I'd used too much force, or whether Beetle was too heavy in his suit, the result was the same: the mercenary punched a hole in the roof.

With a strangled wheeze, Beetle fell down, and I began to descend on the cobwebs.

- What?! Where?! - Rhino jumped up.

- It's okay, tough guy, the SWAT team is working," I guffawed in suspension.

Before the perpetrator comes to his senses from his sudden awakening, I shoot the web into his eyes.

- Argh! Right on target.

Sense kicks in and I duck to the right, landing on the floor. Lightning strikes where I was a second ago. Looks like Electro's awake a lot faster than his partner.

- It may not be as our fearless leader promised, but the opportunity to roast you alive is far more satisfying than any expectation! - Dillan exclaimed bloodthirstily, launching a bolt of lightning at me.

- Don't say gop, Sparkle," I ducked and fired two shock webs at Max in midair.

The projectiles hit the target, almost completely enveloping the villain's entire body, except for his left arm, foot, and head.

- What the hell is this stuff!!!?!

While Electro is outraged, I wrap him completely in a cocoon.

"Bearer, behind you!"

I jump up, and several missiles, probably Beetle, fly beneath me.

"Thanks, Raj," It's handy to have a few eyes on your back.

- You didn't get enough of that, you silent, half-assed bastard, did you?

The answer was just another volley of micro-missiles.

- Although I'm not surprised, last time I had to bring down a water tower on you.

I dodge another energy blast and finally spot another member of this party, Vulture himself, lifted off the couch and running towards a metal box. There's a suit in there, for crying out loud.

- Hey, Feathery," I shoot out a web and catch Tooms by the leg, "where are your feathers? - I pull the old man to my side, and by the law of gravity he sprawls on the floor.

The premonition in my cerebellum signals again, but I'm too distracted, and Rhino manages to push me back with his shoulder, knocking me back two metres. Why didn't you use your horn?

That's when the door opens.

- What's going on in here?! - Octavius yells menacingly.

- 'Here's Doc Ock himself,' I rise from the floor, 'the self-proclaimed leader of this ley gang.

- Spider?!

- Didn't expect me to find you right in your lair, did you?

At this point Reno runs at me with the roar of a true rhino, but I roll under him with no problem.

A few seconds later there is a furious scream and judging by the smell of burntness, Electro is on the loose.

Wasting no time, Tooms gets to the crate and starts to put on his armour. I try to stop him, but Electro's lightning makes it impossible.

- Sinister Six, to me! - Octavius commands.

The villains gather round and line up in front of me.

- That's it, Spidey, now you will know the wrath of the Sinister Six! - Octavius declares pathetically, his tentacles clanking behind him.

- First of all, I'm shocked at how Tooms changed his clothes so quickly," I adopt a spider's stance, "and secondly, do the maths, the ranks of your team have already thinned, OK. There's only five of you.

Otto's taking a quick look around.

- Where's Shocker?! - asks the octopus angrily.

- He survived a very unpleasant encounter with me," I release my claws, "but he's waiting for you too.

Just like in the cinema, the lights in the warehouse go out. So the Spiderbot's got to the power grid, good.

- What's wrong with the lights?!

- Guys, turn it back on!

- Spider! Where's that damn bug?!?!?

The villains are lost, great.

As you know, to stop the body from twitching, you have to cut off the snake's head.

I quickly break the distance and, the mask's night vision mode makes the darkness completely harmless, in a way, even my ally.

I attack Octavius. However, he blocks the lunge with his tentacles.

- You may think you're clever, boy, but I'm Dr Otto Octavius, and believe me, I've made sure I'm not blind in the event of a power cut," Octavius' glasses flashed brightly in the shadows. - The generator will kick in and the light will be back soon. Electro, Rhino, remember the plan! Vulture, help Beetle, he's obviously having trouble with his satchel. I'll distract Spider!

Damn! To Octavius' credit, he's not a bad leader.

I'm moving my head out of the path of the tentacle, which has begun to spin like a propeller.

- So you've been working on improving your pokeweed since the last time we met? - unpleasant.

- Oh, believe me, Spider, I've been preparing for this battle for a long time!

The edge of the second tentacle is beginning to glow with electricity.

- He's got a taser built in, too," I jump back.

To my surprise, the metal tentacles follow me too quickly.

- By the grace of a jealous lowlife, these limbs have become a part of me forever, but as a true scientist I understand, if the organism evolves, you can only fix the result, - these are the fruits of my labours, let's see how you like them, insect!

So you've improved the stuffing on your knuckles too.

I dodge the tentacles, which attack me like snakes from four sides. A taser, a saw, a pin and a hook.

"Carrier?" - questions the symbiote readily.

"No, Raj, not yet!"

I calculate the trajectory of the mechanisms and, catching the tentacle with the pin, slash through it with my claws.

- WHAT?! - A shocked Octavius looks at one of his weapons.

- No matter how prepared you are, you've hardly had time to coat your stumps with anything stronger than titanium.

But alas, precious time was lost. The generator kicked in, systems came back on line and the power returned.

Electro and Rhino, who had stepped aside, immediately decided to attack.

Octavius quickly retreated from the platform, on which Sicevich's multi-tonne carcass jumped.

- I've imagined many times how I'll deal with you, and now I don't know whether to stab you in the heart or flatten your head! What's it gonna be?

- How about a good smack on your pumpkin and I'm completely unharmed, as an idea? - I shoot a web, but Rhino covers his face with his hand.

- That trick won't work on me anymore," Lekha smirks.

- You'd better see what's in there? - I cover my eyes.

- Wha... - there is the sound of a light clap, - ARGHHHHHH!

Spider web flash, nice stuff.

While Rhino is disorientated, I decide to take him out of the game as the most dangerous.

I run towards his carcass, however, my gut signal warns of danger to my left.

I try to dodge, but Vulture's body slams into me, grabbing me and lifting me up.

- What the hell are you doing here, old man?!

- Get in my way and you'll get the wrath of the Vulture, Spider!

- All right, Toomsy," I slap Adrian's arms, "let's dance.

I lean on his shoulder and jump on his back. I try to punch through the power backpack, but only knock my hand away with the thud of metal.

- I learnt a lot from last time, so don't think you can take me out of the game as easily as you did last time! - Bitch grunts with a vicious grin.

- I'll do it the hard way," I release my claws and begin to slice through the back armour.

- What are you doing?! - Tooms starts spinning in the air and manoeuvring wildly.

However, this way he only delayed the inevitable and pissed me off. The tenacity of natural biomagnetism has me securely locked onto the Vulture suit, and resistance to dizziness is a standard test step in the Shield when flying a Quinjet.

- I'll take him down! - screams Electro and starts throwing lightning bolts at us.

- No, you idiot, you're gonna fry me! - screams Tooms.

- Trouble in Paradise? - I ironically clarify, continuing my dirty work.

- Shut up!

When we're right at the ceiling, I manage to dig into the pulp and the flight becomes uncontrollable.

Together with Tooms, we get twisted into dead loops and thrown to the far end of the warehouse, only to be finally stopped by a pile of boxes.

- Why is there always a tall pile of boxes in every warehouse? - I resent throwing away the wooden debris. - How was your ride, Tooms?

But the answer was a long wheeze. Looks like the Vulture's out.

And yet he still had time to make his last contribution to the battle: the Beetle was soaring again.

The mercenary rushes at me and activates his plasma wrist cannons.

I dodge the charges and notice that Electro and Reno have started to approach.

Okay, this ends here and now!

I run towards my opponents and, dodging a flying Beetle, rush at Rhino. The horned one has gained a lot of speed, but it doesn't bother me much. I begin to concentrate my Bite charge.

Reno is about to attack with his horn, but I hit him with two legs in a corkscrew, attaching myself to my opponent's torso. The energy is enough to just stop the thug. He looks down perplexed, and I grab his face with both palms, freed from the symbiotic material.

- Say good night," I release the bioelectricity.

An energy flash illuminates the warehouse.

As soon as the effect passes Rhino starts to lurch forward, but I grab his carcass and run at Electro with it.

Dillan starts shooting back in panic, but since Sicevich's armour is an excellent dielectric, I manage to nail Sparkle to the floor with his body.

- What?! - Max asks in shock.

In response, I only wrap a dense web around every remaining loose part of Electro's body. Her density might not have been enough before, but now, because of Rhino, Dillan is unlikely to get out.

- No! What are you idiots doing?!

- Looks like I jumped to conclusions about you," I turn to a furious Octavius, "you're a shitty leader.

- Beetle, work in pairs!

The octopus and the mercenary attack together.

Well, the time has come.

"Raj, are you ready?"

"Now, Peter?" - the symbiote asks in anticipation.

"Yes. 'Venom mode', Raj. Go!".

I run at my opponents and change direction a second later, firing a klintarz from my body like a cannon.

The symbiote begins to cover the Beetle who doesn't understand what's going on.

- What is that!!!? - Shocked, watches the mercenary Otto, who at this point is completely engulfed by Raj.

- You're not the only one with trump cards up your sleeve, Ok," I shake off my classic suit, "let's dance.

As I enter the final battle with the leader of the Sinister Six.

- No, I've got it all figured out! - Otto attacks me with his tentacles, we had to find you and destroy you, my plan was perfect!

- Arrogance is your greatest weakness, Octavius, and it will guarantee your defeat!

With a menacing roar, Otto attacks much more fiercely.

I dodge, coolly watching the tentacles move. As good as Octavius is at subordinating their movements to his thoughts, they're still mechanisms and have a response period.

I catch two tentacles and grab them.

Passing bioelectricity through Octavius.

- AAAH!

The tentacles start to emit a light smoke. Throwing Otto aside.

- I'm not sure exactly what the energy of my diffuse Bite is doing, but I suspect it's affecting the nervous system, and considering you have all four sprouts connected to yours, I sympathise.

I'm going to see the Octopus trying to get up.

- How is that possible? - the doctor asks exhaustedly.

- I told you before, Otto," I tower over my adversary, "your arrogance and arrogance were the pillars of this loss, you couldn't even imagine that you would fail, but remember," I grab one of the tentacles, "Dr Octopus," I begin to pull the mechanism, "always," I hear a metallic crack, "loses!

I pull out Ock's tentacle.

- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA - Octavius starts screaming in pain and passes out.

I, on the other hand, weave webbing around the remaining three metal limbs and the Octavius itself.

I turn towards the other battle.

Though judging by Beetle's frozen body and calm symbiotic cover, it's a beating.

I move closer and see that Raj is draining off the mercenary. The alien did well, he didn't just knock the enemy out, he also irreversibly damaged his armour, consider it dissolved! At the very least, only the surviving scraps of trousers from the entire super-advanced cyber-suit hint at this.

The symbiotic mass enlarges and a thin replica of Venom appears before me.

- Okay, Raj, come on, come back," I said in a cheerful tone, but there was a nasty nip in my throat.

However, the symbiote quietly flows in, returning the familiar black suit.

Phew and yet he's still got me a little worried.

"How do you like my work, Bearer?" - Raj specifies contentedly.

"You did well, just could have saved a sample of the Beetle suit technology."

In response, I feel something begin to form on my back. After a dozen seconds, semi-mechanical black wings burst out of my back.

"You didn't think I just destroyed the technology, did you, Peter?" - Slyly muttered the Symbiote.

"My you're a hand tentacle! Clever girl, Raj, technology takeover, how did I not think of that myself!? Can you bring it back in the classic version?"

In response, Beetle's shoulder-mounted missile launchers fall out in my palms.

- Interesting," I mentally command and the mechanisms are absorbed.

I look at the knocked out Beetle.

"What did you do to him?"

"Used that image you showed me," Raj muttered a little embarrassed. - "Perhaps the scary fanged maw and slimy long tongue don't give people the best impression?"

"That's for sure," I laughed.

"So we're done, then?"

"Yes," I shift my gaze to Ock's abandoned severed tentacle. - "But I still have a couple of ideas."
