Chapter 74: What’s Wrong with Girls Being Twenty Minutes Late?

"I'm sorry, Maggie said the event is canceled!" Jay said awkwardly.

"What's going on? Wasn't she the one who initiated the invite? Why cancel all of a sudden?"

"Arthur isn't going, so now her whole dorm doesn't want to come out," Jay shrugged helplessly.

He watched as the girl he liked fell for his friend, feeling powerless. Could he blame Arthur? Clearly, Arthur had no intention of competing for Maggie. Yet, Maggie liked Arthur and was clearly using him as a means to get closer to Arthur. Jay had thought about removing Maggie from his contacts, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. He felt he had become Maggie's backup, or perhaps not even that!

"I see. Her dorm has Una, and Maggie seems to..." Dave glanced at Arthur but didn't finish his sentence, considering Jay's feelings.

"This event might have been organized because Una wanted to reconcile with Arthur, so once Arthur isn't coming, it's definitely canceled!" Dave shook his head.
