Tense silence enveloped the deserted area as both enemies stared at each other—the woman with a bright, confident smile, and the young man with slight indifference and caution.
Any moment longer, and the entire area seemed like it would collapse as a result of the heavy tension in the air.

It all slowly began to make sense to Kuzon, especially considering what Jared had told him.
