Cousin Power

That morning, all of the windows in Irene and Amiel's home were closed and not even a ray of sunshine made it inside the house. She is slumped unenergetically on the couch while watching a reality dhow but her mind is wandering somewhere else.

No matter how much she tries to get her mind off it, her thoughts always subconsciously goes back to remembering the surge of unexplainable feelings she had when she held the phone close to her ears.

Suddenly, Irene hears the doorbell ring. She slowly gets up from the couch and goes to open the door without even thinking or checking the video intercom. It was Valerie but she did not bring Kaiser along with her. The cute baby must be with either of his grandparents right now to give Valerie some time for herself.
