77 Chapter 75: Weird Day

The woman is quite similar to this one.

If you see any mistakes, feel free to write. I'll fix it.

--------------------------

Blake looked around in surprise. He turned his head to the side and extended his hand. His hand passed through the man passing by. His form didn't dissipate, it went right through the man's face. It was as if he had turned into a spirit.

They've only taken a few steps since they disappeared from the demon slayer group. When the fog around them engulfed them, their bodies became transparent, invisible to others.

Blake came in front of the female Demon Slayer, one of two Demon Slayer who had previously stood next to her, and waved his hands. She didn't get any reaction.

"Don't bother, we're not in the world anymore." She spoke as she looked at Blake. She waved her hand gently, holding his katana hilt, a click of the lantern was heard. The fog in the environment has become a little thicker and denser.

"Thanks to this fog, we have left the world, follow me. I'll take you to the exit." She turned around and started walking.

The tone was gentle and elegant, her steps were equal and consistent. Her back was upright, her sword hold hand was hard. Each step contained nobility from her bones. But none of this was conscious, as if the woman herself represented elegance.

Blake couldn't help but nod admirably. He's met women as beautiful as her before, like Teka, but it's the first time she's seen such grace. Even the air of natural elegance affected him.

Blake stepped forward, suddenly appeared next to her, and started looking around.

He saw Shinobu, Kanae, and Kuro looking for him. Shinobu and Kanae were jumping from the roofs of the houses and circling the entire village, while Kuro surveyed the forest outside the village. Some Demon Slayer was entering the forest in groups, while others were looking for Blake in various ways on orders.

But none of them noticed the woman and Blake passing by.

Mist covered the entire village, but that only seemed to apply to Blake and the woman. As if the people outside were not affected by the fog, they were looking around recklessly and carelessly, the opposite of what is normally done when there is a fog.

"How does this work?" Blake held out his hand and reached out to touch Kuro's face as he passed.

Swish!

As expected, he couldn't touch Kuro. His finger passed through his face without losing its structure and came out the other end of his head. They touched each other, but the body shapes did not change, they touched each other.

It was a strange event that cannot be described in words.

That was incredible, even for someone like Blake. He possessed the Speed Power, lived in a world full of Quirks, and even managed to see a few living souls. Yet a body that was both solid and spiritual was new even to him.

His heart jumped with childish excitement. Such mysterious events excited him, unlike other people.

Considering that he was an ordinary person in his previous life, such things stirred his heart.

The woman did not answer Blake. She gave Blake a sidelong glance as she continued walking. She flicked her sword lightly, lantern on the hilt swung.

She didn't seem to have any intention of answering.

Some time passed, the silence lasted. She spoke as Blake was about to ignore her.

"We are in the fourth dimension." After a few words, she stopped his steps, turning right at the crossroad. Blake returned with her at the crossroads.

''Fourth dimension? I didn't know that thing was something like that.'' Blake sighed in surprise. He stretched out his hand in front of him and touched the mist.

He realized that the mist was a little wet. He felt as if he was touching water between vapor and liquid, his hand moistened as he waved it in the air for a while.

He ran his hand around, and his hand went dry in an instant.

"--- Oxygen?"

''That's right. Everything in the third dimension exists singularly in the fourth dimension. These are hydrogen and oxygen. They create moisture in the air." The woman gestured with her chin to the mist in the air.

Blake shook his head in surprise and began to survey the surroundings. Looking closely at the fog in the air, he saw that it consisted of several small patches of fog. It was the water atoms that wet Blake's hand, and the oxygen atoms in the air that dried him.

The woman stopped walking, her small pools of star-black eyes turned to the side, and she gave Blake a sideways glance. Her red wine-colored lips opened.

"It's my turn to ask."

"Fair, ask."

"Why did you help them?" She gestured with her chin to one of the two sisters, Kanae, who was jumping off the rooftops.

Blake looked where she was pointing. The two exchanged glances as he looked at Kanae's face, but the second party couldn't see Blake, so they continued on their way indifferently.

"She looks like someone I like." Blake's gaze softened, her eyes narrowed in affection. When he thought of the white-haired girl with the red tufts of hair, he couldn't help showing a warm expression.

'Look like someone you love? I'm sure there isn't anyone like her in Lilith's world." She tilted her head. She couldn't remember that Lilith had recently created a new character similar to hers.

"Physically not alike, emotionally alike." Blake continued to walk, step by step. Various gas components were being forced out by their steps and continued on their way. But it didn't impress him like it did the first time.

He guessed that the lantern was blocking it.

"The woman I love is very attached to her family. Even though her family life has been full of cracks lately, whether it's her mother, sibling, other ''sibling'' or me, she does nothing but gets along with us all and gives us boundless love and care." Blake's warm gaze turned to the sky. It was as if he was looking at that person.

"She has two siblings, recently had three. She loved the two to the limit, and despite being a villain, she constantly enters the room where her newly acquired brother is locked, chats with her, and prepares meals for her. She loves her brothers very much and she is just like her."

''Is that all? Is that just why you saved her?" The woman stopped her steps, her confused gaze scouring Blake from head to toe.

"Do I need another reason?" Blake looked her in the eyes. He didn't look back for a second, his mild smile making for a pleasant sight.

He wasn't lying, the woman understood that. He had saved a woman who had nothing to do with him, whom he hadn't seen for a single second, simply because she looked like someone she loved.

There was no lust, no intrigue, no ulterior motive, no great purpose, he did what he wanted out of pure selfishness. He probably knew that this move might cause him to contradict herself, the representative of this universe. Yet he acted out of pure selfishness.

"Is it that simple?"

''It's that simple.''

"..." The woman was silent again. After staring into Blake's eyes for a few seconds, she withdrew her gaze and continued walking through the fog. Blake followed behind him.

The two continued to walk through the village. When they came to a fork in the road, they turned and continued along the road. They hadn't left the village once, and the woman didn't seem to have any such intentions.

But as he kept walking, the world around Blake became more "distant". When he turned from a fork in the road, the voices went away, and in the other, the image began to go away, too, as if he was watching from behind.

Blake and the woman were getting further and further away from this world.

"I want to ask another question." The woman asked after walking for a while. She was hesitant, not hesitating to ask as if hesitating whether Blake would be able to give the right answer.

"Then I'll ask you a question," Blake suggested, continuing to look around, staring at this phenomenon he hadn't seen before with childish excitement.

"Fair." The woman nodded. She stared into Blake's face for a moment longer before asking. Mutual interest was the simplest principle of trade.

"Let's pretend you're a---king… you have the authority and power to decide the fate of every human in your kingdom…" The woman stopped in between her conversations, continuing to speak, being careful to choose words that Blake could understand.

"But you have been dormant for hundreds of years, your kingdom continues in the same way. It is collapsing-developing-entering a prosperous era-collapsing again. You can't get out of this cycle, but you don't want to interfere with this cycle.''

"You've taken a few variables into your kingdom lately that make the loop more interesting, but it still doesn't satisfy you that much. Because they don't do anything, except change the loop a bit. What would you do?''

Blake looked into her eyes. He stood where he was, neither taking another step. He thought as the mists passed before his face.

So she wants to make her world a little more interesting for her. Blake instantly found the reasoning behind her questions.

It wasn't that hard to find. A little interaction with this woman and beings like Lilith was enough for him to understand her.

She was also very hesitant and left a lot of space between her words. That meant she either had ulterior motives or was trying to turn what was on her mind into a question.

It couldn't have been the first one, she seemed very focused on it. Even the first-time intriguers weren't as clear about their intentions as she was. Her expression was like an open notebook.

"In this case..." The obvious curiosity and anticipation on the woman's face caused him to smile unconsciously. Unlike the mask Lilith and Kanae were wearing, the woman opposite her was so white that she didn't realize that she had made her intentions known and that her bottomless eyes as far as space was glowing with interest.

"I do what I want."

She waited for the rest of his words. When Blake didn't say anything else, her anticipation deflated like a leaking balloon, looking at Blake with a confused expression and asking.

"That's it?"

"That's it," Blake nodded with a slight smile.

"Something else?"

"Is there need it?" Blake frowned and shrugged. "The kingdom is his, he can manage people's destinies as his wish, and he literally "own" them. Can't he do what he wants?"

His words made her stop. She lifted her finger and was lost in thought in clear confusion. She didn't hide her feelings, or rather she couldn't. Her personality wouldn't allow it.

'Really, can't I do what I want?' She had the final and absolute word, and if she had done anything, no one would have even thought of meddling, let alone getting involved. It had nothing to do with deterrence, when she did something the others wouldn't even react because they wouldn't notice it.

In such a situation, she should have been able to do whatever she wanted as long as it wasn't against her beliefs and ethics. She was the one who made the rules here, she determined the good and the bad. Then who could oppose her?

Besides, don't others do this too? All this time they had what their want one way or another, and no one had said anything to them. If they could, why couldn't she?

Blake did not speak any further. She just watched the woman's expression darken, sometimes brighten, sometimes put on a thoughtful expression, and sometimes shine as if there was a decision.

And had to say, it was pretty fun. The woman couldn't hide her expression, and watching her was like riding a roller coaster. The person was involuntarily caught in her expression.

"Is anyone messing with this king?" Blake asked a question to bring her back to reality.

"No." The girl replied absently, not knowing that the identity of the "king" had been revealed.

'Then what is the king waiting for? He should do what he wants. He doesn't have that power for nothing." Blake gestured to her with one hand and stepped forward. Despite the woman's confusion, she moved forward with him and thought along the way.

Sounds, sights, beings, everything in the world gradually disappeared and after a while, only darkness remained.

However, this did not last long. They disappeared as soon as darkness appeared, and they appeared in the middle of an old-style Japanese house.

There was a table in the middle of the room, and steam emanated from the spout of a steaming teapot on the table. The room was the perfect temperature even with the Shoji doors open, the perfectly yellow-lit room was a realization of serenity and elegance.

Outside the room was a balcony that opened onto the garden. One could enter the garden in a few steps. There was a pond in the middle of the well-cut grass in the garden, various fish were swimming in the pond. At the end of the well that supplied water to the pond, a half bamboo stick, which was constantly lying to the right and left, was attached with a wooden stick.

The two did not stop here. As soon as they appeared in the room, they headed for the exit.

Glop!

The half-bamboo changed direction once again, and a loud voice resounded. The sound of water pouring into the lake caressed Blake's ears. A fine wind blew, and the scent of a few flowers filled his nostrils.

Footsteps followed each other. It is not known when, but Blake's shoes had come off and he was left with his socks.

The two reached the exit, and Blake's shoes came back the moment he stepped off the wooden floor.

"This has been a very strange day…" Blake took a glance at his shoes. His thoughts got into a slight mess. What he experienced today deserved to be the strangest day of his life after his death.

He turned his gaze to the sky. He saw the familiar white-gentle yellow sky as opposed to the familiar blue sky. Although there was no sun, the whole world was bright as if the sun was still in the sky.

They walked along the stony path, and the outer door opened by itself, revealing the sanded, smooth gold floor.

Smooth ground, golden skies, quiet streets, and completely unrelated houses had been more than 5 years since Blake had been here, but the Golden World hadn't changed at all.

The woman led Blake to the house that represented the MHA World, the summer villa.

The woman came to the front of the villa. He stuck out his finger and rang the bell.

Ding!

The bell rang, the couple waited for a while, but there was no answer. The woman pressed once more.

Ding!

After a while again there was no answer. The woman was pulled out of her thoughts, frowned, and shouted.

"Lilith, it's me." She rang the bell once more, waited for a while but still no answer.

"Strange, she's not at home..." A guess came to mind. She waved her hand back, the mailbox in front of her house door opened, a piece of paper came out and floated until it landed on her hand.

The woman read the paper for a while, filled with writing in a language Blake didn't understand. Her face lit up. She nodded in understanding and turned to Blake.

"She's not here because she's on important business. I'll send you instead."

"Can you do that?" Blake asked with simple curiosity. He did not know exactly what Lilith and the Golden World were. With what Lilith and this woman showed him, only God knows what else he can do.

''Yeah. Wait a second." The woman turned the paper over and ran her fingers over it. After writing a lot of complex words, she waved the paper in the air.

The paper vanished in the air like a wink.

"It must have been done with this." The woman shook her head but did not step in. On the contrary, she put her hand on her sword.

Sip!

A thin voice was heard, and the woman withdrew her hand. She hadn't moved, yet her demeanor seemed to have finished his job.

A thin line appeared in the air, the lines gradually opening and bowing like a peeling piece of skin before space split like a sheet of paper.

"You can go with this-- hm? Something happened?" The woman turned and looked at Blake. She saw his staring at the crevice in surprise.

'Oh, nothing. '' Blake came out of his surprise and waved his hand. The corners of his lips trembled slightly.

He had barely seen the attack. The brain will always be faster than the person's speed, but even with Blake's current brain activity, he was barely able to catch the attack, and it shocked him more than anything she had done before.

It was still understandable given the strength and existence of what the woman had done before. However, this attack was a pure physical attack, no magic or strange energy was used.

Even the woman's movement was sketchy, let alone dividing space. It wasn't even a serious attack, yet it nearly exceeded Blake's perceptual speed.

If this was the woman's non-serious attack, how was it a serious attack?

Blake didn't know, but he wasn't frightened at all. On the contrary, strangely enough, competition rose in him. He wondered if the woman's serious attack was faster or if he was faster. However, he quickly swallowed this desire and stepped forward.

"Wait..." As he was about to enter the portal, he was stopped by the woman. He looked at her and asked.

''What happened?''

"You still have one question. ' The woman spoke with extreme seriousness. It was as if this matter was as important as her life.

"Right." Blake stopped, pointed his finger at her after a quick period of thought, and asked.

''What is your name?''

"My name?" The woman tilted her head to the side. The expression on her face was as if "Really?" had been written on her face with a black felt-tip pen.

"I decide what to ask." Blake nodded rightly.

''True. A name… I don't have one." She shook her head. There was no sign of lying, and she wasn't the type to lie with her personality.

"Oh, See you then." Blake waved his hand and before she could reply, he entered the portal.

''Wait. Question-''

''I asked. If you're not satisfied, wait until our next meeting." Blake entered the portal without giving her another chance. The portal closed behind him, and silence filled the air.

The woman looked where Blake had gone. She put her hand on her sword before muttering a confused expression.

"Next meeting… he should be able to do it with the speed power he has. After all, his species wasn't nicknamed Space-Time rodents for nothing." Her expression normalized as she realized she had another chance to pay off her debt.

She returned, but not to go home. She headed deeper into the city. Her expression changed once again. Her eyes were filled with pure anger. It was as if the rage of someone who had just lost their entire family and had everything was taken from them, who had a mortal enemy, could not be compared to her.

She frowned, clenched teeth clenched to breaking point. Her eyes were filled with flames of pure anger. With a large vein-appearing hand, she pulled open her sword, causing the cold metal beneath it to glow. Her steps were stern, and the air of grace and serenity had vanished, replaced by the fury of an angry Oni.

"My, our dearest ..." She went in a certain direction as she uttered meaningless words. The direction she was going was the huge invisible wall near Lilith and her home.

She walked as she continued to utter the meaningless words, her gait turned into quick steps, and her quick steps into running, and she finally disappeared through the wall.
