----------------------------------

If someone asked a Blake to explain in a few words what's going on in front of him right now, what he'd say was;

Carnage and Chaos.

''AHHH...''

"No, don't come... Ahhh.''

"I don't want to die."

Painful cries, futile pleas, and the crying of those who lived their ends filled their ears. Everywhere his eyes could see and see, death and carnage were on the way, and the heavy smell of blood burned his nostrils.

Blake just stood there and watched this view. If he'd been here before, he'd have vomited after seeing so many organs, meat and blood, but now, he doesn't feel anything.

Blake's efforts to harden his heart for three years were now coming to light. Even with all the death ahead of him, his feelings didn't even move.

Blake stepped aside while he watched around. He had no intention of making any moves. He thought it was ridiculous to get into the current brawl.

Everyone could expect to kill each other, and in the end, when things settled down, he could easily pick up the trigger. All he had to do was wait on the side.

There will be those who think like him, when Blake stepped aside, a few others stepped aside and began to wait for their opportunity.

**

Bob, as a C-level villain, didn't consider himself very strong. The whole reason he was level C was because of his intelligence and his ability to read the moment and act accordingly.

Thanks to this ability, he was able to reach C level without problems, without being caught by the police.

As for his Quirk, he had a simple but effective Quirk that provided an instant speed boost.

Bob began to analyze the environment quickly and think about how to act according to the situation. As the greedily blinded low-level villains slaughtered each other and tried to reach the trigger, the cunning villains, who had survived at a higher level and for a long time, were waiting to identify the strongest among the ants and take the trigger from it.

"If I want the trigger, I have no choice but to go forward and make decisions on a case-by-case basis." Bob made up his mind after a quick train of thought.

If he stood back, he wouldn't have had a chance to get the trigger when the top levels were involved in the battle, he didn't think he could beat them or take the trigger from them, even with his Quirk. However, if he progressed, there was a chance he would die from a stabbing or random attack.

The most logical decision here was to constantly use your Quirk to move forward without infecting anyone.

At least if he wanted a trigger, if he didn't, he could stand aside and wait for the event to end.

"No, I don't want that." Bob no longer wanted to be crushed and ignored by others or constantly thinking in such situations.

Heroism was not an option for him and he needed a trigger to achieve something in this life. If he wanted to live a comfortable and good life, he had to take that trigger.

So Bob decided to take the trigger.

Bob stretched his joints and took a deep breath before moving forward.

Svish!

He activated his Quirk and doubled his speed and started running forward. His eyes couldn't adapt because of the instantaneous speed increase, but Bob didn't need it. He had checked his way several times and knew he was going to run in an empty area until he regained his sight.

After running a few yards, his vision came back.

"Oh!" He survived a man's attack holding a katana at the last minute when his vision came back. He wasn't the target, but he almost got killed.

Bob survived the cloud of poison that didn't target him at the last minute, without breathing a sigh of relief.

"GYAAAAAAA!"" As Bob avoided another attack, a heartbreaking, painful cry filled his ears.

When he turned his head to where the sound came from, he saw that the woman who first picked up the trigger was pressed on her back by the man who injured her to prevent any movement.

Bob stopped for a few seconds before exhaling nervously. In his next actions, a single mistake could have killed him.

"THE TRIGGER LANDED AND IS IN THE HANDS OF THIS MAN." Bob screamed audibly throughout the area and pointed his finger at the man.

All wars, massacres, and chaos have stopped with his words. Their posture was so abrupt that even two men who got into a fight and still pushed each other in the face stopped their fight and looked where Bob was pointing.

The crowd's expressions were painted with greed. Whatever they were doing, they immediately gave up and started running to the guy who was holding the trigger.

After the man looked cheekily at Bob, who grinned at him, he threw the trigger to the ground and walked away from the area where he was found.

"Opportunity!" Bob activated his Quirk at full power and ran before running forward. His speed has tripled because of his quirk's full power.

Within a few steps, he got to where the trigger was and picked it up on the ground without stopping his run.

When he got the trigger, the 50 inscriptions on it turned 60 and the countdown began.

Bob ran as if his life depended on it, with the chills he felt on his back. Which it was.

When he entered the dark corridor leading to the exit, he headed for the corridor.

"What's he doing?" Some of the bad guys who saw the direction Bob was running stopped and looked at Bob like he was looking at an idiot. Was he trying to get out of the event space? Would OHRMG allow this?

Eyes turned to the guards, everyone was waiting for Bob to be killed by them as soon as possible and the trigger would come back between them.

Svish!

But nothing happened. He didn't stop Bob from advancing, so they let him pass.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you. The only rule of the event is to hold the trigger in your hand for 60 seconds. Other than that, we don't care where you do it. So you can go out."

"Say that from the beginning." A couple of bad guys yelled at the Server as he ran after Bob.

''Tehe!''

"AHHHHHH!!" Bob's shouting and the presenter's reaction were an odd contrast.

Watching the scene from afar, Blake began to follow the man in a series of steps.

**

[After a few hours]

In a dark alley, there was a sickening sight. Various bodies were scattered around. Pieces of blood and flesh covered the walls, body parts scattered all over the place.

The atmosphere was a ruin. Walls damaged by various Quirks were constantly falling, rubble falling on corpses, making the unbearable environment even more unbearable.

In the middle of this disgusting painting, a man could be heard coughing.

"Cough* Cough* I think being selfish finally brought me to my death." Bob couldn't hold the taste of iron in his mouth any longer, so he decided to let it go. Red blood stained his chin and clothes, while he smiled cheekily.

Careful about anything that might affect his life, he was on his deathbed just because, for the first time, greed allowed him to take over. It was pretty tragicomic for Bob.

As life slowly abandoned his body, he rested his back on the cold building wall. The cold of the wall would not meet the cold that radiated in his body.

Before falling into an endless sleep, he grabbed the necklace next to the fingernails lodged in his heart and squeezed it with the remaining force.

"I'm coming to you, honey." His hand slowly fell and he fell into eternal sleep with a smile on his face.

The woman who threw the nails watched the scene with a condescending smile on her face. After licking it to taste the exquisite taste of the blood under her fingernails, she turned around.

"There are only 10 seconds left, and I'm going to be stronger in the end. I wonder what's going to happen to my Quirk. The claws? Maybe my fingernails will turn into metal." The woman trembled excitedly as she contemplated the transformation her Quirk would undergo when she used the trigger.

"So... Is this thing making Quirk stronger? Maybe he's changing it? By telling me, will you save me the trouble of investigating?'' As she dived into thoughts, a cold, callous voice came from her side. As the callous voice reached his ears, the weight of the tube in her hand suddenly disappeared.

The woman instantly turned to the side and threw her fingernails towards where the sound came from. As the fingernails ripped from her fingers were replaced, the fingernails floating in the air turned to the source of the sound at a speed that most people could not react to.

However, the target of the nails tilted his head slightly to the side without effort and survived the attack.

"Aren't you going to answer that?" The tube started spinning on the guy's fingers. The numbers on the tube have been reset again.

"Oh, Mr. White." She distanced themselves from them in one jump. As she looked cautiously at Blake, a nice smile appeared on her face.

"Mr. White, I'm honored to meet you. I'm Ka-'' The woman tried to introduce herself, but Blake's cold voice stopped her.

"Aren't you going to answer that?"

"O-Of course I will answer. But first, please give me back the trigger. The trigger is very important to me. If you do that, tomorrow I'll make sure I help you get a new one." She looked forward to Blake. She didn't care to help him as long as he gave her the trigger.

30.

As the seconds went by, she became agitated. The edge of his eye twitched every second, and the urge to kill Blake was in his heart.

"M-Mr. White, please... Give it to me before the time runs out." The fingernails on her hand, which she concealed with her body, began to grow.

20.

"Mr. White, if you give it to me, I'll do what you want tonight. Even perverted things." As her fingernails became sharper, she tried to tempt Blake in a sweet tone.

10.

"Tsk!" She clicked on her tongue when she saw it was not working and that the time was almost up. As her eyebrows frowned, her eyes lit with the killing intent.

"I SAID GIVE IT TO ME!" She waved her hands forward in a scream. Her fingernails abandoned her hands and she slid through the air at the speed of a bullet, heading towards Blake.

Blake kept looking her in the eye. He stood where he could not see the sharp objects coming at him and continued to watch her.

"I shot him." When her fingernails were on Blake's body, a sadistic smile appeared on her face. With this, Blake would die and get the trigger back.

But before anything happened to Blake, her vision changed.

"Huh? Why is the world turning?'' The world in her vision began to turn. As her vision slowly darkened, the last thing she saw was Blake's cold stare and headless body in front of him and clutching sharp nails in his hands.

"H... ow...'' Before she could even complete her word, her thoughts dissipated and she lost her life.

...

"Again, I did not get any information. Anyway, at least I know what the trigger basically does." Blake sighed and continued to walk down the empty street. He had hoped to get information about the trigger, but it failed.

Blake's gaze turned to the tube in his hand. When the numbers on the tube reached zero, the numbers were gone and replaced by an emoji with a party hat. And underneath, there were inscriptions in lowercase letters.

"Congratulations, you've won the Trigger. Please come to the top floor of the OHRMG building in 7 days. Note: As long as you have the token you are given read on this screen, the token will be your identity."

''...'' As Blake rotated the tube around his fingers, he began to think about what to do with it.

He knew that if he went, something would be a headache, but if he didn't, he would get a headache, too. After thinking for a while, he decided to destroy the circuit above the tube.

Elegant white lightning arcs began to emerge from Blake's body and, in Blake's direction, the tube wrapped like skin.

Bztt! Bzzzt!

The lightning came in and started tearing it down from the inside out. Accompanied by electrical sounds, the circuit above the tube shorted out. Dark clouds have risen from the circuit.

Blop!

The circuit's gone. The colored liquid inside the tube slowly lost its color and within a few seconds turned into pure water. Blake opened and smelled the tube to confirm it was water, even tasting it. However, it did not taste any taste other than pure water taste or there was no change in his body.

"So I have to participate." Blake sighed with frustration. After throwing the tube away, he headed home.
