According to NASA, Scientists have ideas about why Saturn has rings, but no one knows for sure…
Once upon a time, there was a giant who ran away from a three-eyed monster at the South Pole and ended up at a carnival in a small town near the North Pole.
He spotted giants playing a ring toss game at the carnival which looked so fun, so he lined up waiting to play too.
Finally, his turn came. The first ring landed near the pole. When he threw the second ring, it missed the pole and flew out of Earth's gravity.
It flew and flew for ages until it stopped. It was hooked to a gas planet which was bald and had no beauty at all.
The next day, an ice angel passed by. She saw a monkey with two ears in the night sky! When she looked closer, she realized it is a planet with a ring!
"How beautiful!" she exclaimed. She decided that if and only if she swapped its ring with her ice ring which was floating on her head it would look fabulous, so she did by putting her ring in front of her and sending a cloud with her ring on it to float all the way to the planet. After a while the cloud came floating back with the giant's ring which she put on her head.
The next day, a color fairy saw the ice ring around the planet. "Ooh la lah!" she said, and added colors to it.
Word spread fast and many others came and added or fixed some things, colors, sparkle and many more, but before the last fairy could finish her last touch, the ice ring started to fall apart into many pieces. Some as small as a salt grain, some as big as a HOUSE…
And then they began to swirl around the planet!
