Three Elders

Everyone in the large expanse of land had their eyes fixed on Lee ,though he appeared to be calm he felt very uncomfortable having several people stare at him ,there was at least more than a hundred people in the gathering .

With all of them been far older than him .

Three old men with unkempt grey beards seemed to suddenly appear from nowhere,as they walked towards the students and instructors of Pure Nature Academy .

The instructors began to notice their presence,and immediately they set their eyes on them ,they felt cold shiver run down their spines .

They instantly composed themselves and put on innocent looks like as if they were ignorant of what is going around them .

The three old men halted their steps right in front of Frank and Lauren.

Frank was visibly shaking as if he was thrown into a sea of ice .

" Greeettinggss elder Wu Min ,elder Wu Shian and elder Wu Feng " said a stuttering Frank .

" Greetings honoured elders " said Lauren as she bowed with a bit of unease in her voice .

The other instructors and all the students wasted no time as they all honoured the arrival of the three elders.

But surprisingly none of the old men replied the greetings directed to them, they just had their eyes locked on Lee .

Lee was not feeling comfortable in the least, it was first the crowd but now, he had three head elders staring at him .

But he would never show his discomfort he was still as calm and still as a boulder, but he found it extremely hard to stare back at the eyes of the elders not because he was scared or shy,it was due to the humongous pressure that was pressing on him.

Lee was both shocked and amazed,what could he have done to warrant this kind of treatment .

This was his first time ever meeting with the three Chief elders of Pure Nature Academy, he was not expecting this type of treatment ,his rational mind expected praises from the elders .

Though he was not the proud type, any human would want to be praised for his or her achievement .

He began to think of any possible cause of his current predicament .

" Did I not greet them well ?!! ,Or do they hate like the rest of the teachers ?,have they being bribed ? " .

He was asking himself questions that he could not even answer .

When the pressure pressing on him still persisted he could only come up with two answers ,it was either this was all a test or they wanted to cripple him .

Whatever it was he was going to stand till the end .

Lee clenched his teeth's as he struggled to stare back at them .

The others were oblivious of what was transpiring between the elders and Lee,they could only let their thoughts go wild .

The intensity of the pressure was increasing at every beat of the heart ,it was becoming unbearable for Lee his legs were even beginning to vibrate .

" I would not give up !!! ,you want to see how tough i'm??!! , AM GOING TO SHOW YOU !!! " Lee screamed this words in his mind in a means of encouraging himself .

The instructors and students were beginning to notice the changes in Lee,his legs were vibrating more forcefully and he was sweating profusely like as though he as been running all day .

Frank and Lauren were the first to notice the pain which Lee was going through , Frank laughed hysterically in his mind " I always believed this boy made use of an unorthodox means to get his black core , I guess the elders have noticed this and have decided to get rid of him "

He stared at Lauren who had worry written allover her face ,Frank couldn't help but have a wicked and mocking grin plastered on his face .

The pressure pressing on him was getting out of hand , he could not even circulate qi round his body he could even feel his core resonating due to the pressure.

Lee haters were having wicked and unscrupulous thoughts going through their minds and the few like Lauren who cared for him were hoping nothing would go wrong.

His breathing had become very heavy and tardy but he never broke the eye contact with the elders .

The elders had no emotion written on their faces they just stared at Lee like statues .

After what seemed like forever Lee felt the intensity of the pressure waning at an incredible speed .

Finally the pressure was lifted and Lee heaved a sigh of relief has he began to inhale heavily.

There was total silence neither the elders nor the crowd said a word the only sound that could be heard was Lee heavy breathing .

After a very long time one of the elders finally spoke ,by this time Lee had recovered .

" Strong body you got there lad ,though it is far stronger than what we expected"

The elder in the middle smiled at Lee as he said " My brothers and l decided to put you on that infinitesimal test to ascertain something's best known to us ,am I right brothers "

The other elders nodded their heads in response .

" You have a very strong mind and I kind of like it " The elder in the middle said as he grinned at Lee like a Cheshire cat.

Lee bowed to the three elders has he said" This meek servant of yours is highly honoured" .

But Lee was cursing in his heart " You call that small test !!! ".

There were several silent gasp of astonishment from the crowd especially from the ones who's thought were miles away from reality .

Frank was so disappointed he felt his impeccable thought of victory shattered like glass ,he even got more heartbroken anytime he stares at the jubilant and ecstasy filled face of Lauren .

Now Lee was not only the boy with the black core but the one with the strong body and mind .

The elders didn't say anything about what they saw transpiring between Frank and Lauren .

The expression on their faces just transformed back to the way it was before ,emotionless .

The elder standing at the left side named Wu Min suddenly said with command and arrogance in his tone "Gather "

The instructor and students wasted no time as they began to coalesce till they formed a circle with the three elders at the centre .
