Smiling duo

A few days had passed and I was in my room eating when Natasha entered. "G'mornin," I said while eating a boiled egg. "You sure have gotten comfy," Natasha said while walking over and dropping a few papers on my desk. "Here is the info on the dungeon." I put my feet up on the desk and started looking through it.

It said it was about a days worth of travel on horseback. It spoke about some of the creatures inside.

Snaggletooth rats, acidic slices, and possibly a golem. "Well, I'll be off then." I slurped up my last egg and headed for the door.

"Wait." My arm got pulled back. "What?" I asked. Natasha sighed. "We got some new info about the dungeon that I wasn't able to put in the dossier." She paused. "There have been reports of people going missing in the town nearby. We have good reason to suspect that vampires have 'moved' in with other beasts. So, I'm sending two others with you." I thought before speaking. "Who? I thought you wanted me to be inconspicuous."

She smiled. "That's why I'm sending two people who saw our fight." I got excited. 'Does this mean I'm gonna be paired up with two of the instructors?' Before I could say anything else, Natasha called two people from outside the room.

'I wonder who it'll be? Is it Max and Swift? Maybe Diane and Max? Oh, what about Diane and Swift?' As I was getting excited, the two people walked in. It felt like someone had poured a bucket of ice on me.

I barely managed to open my mouth. "Why are you guys here?" The one on the left started to speak with a smile on his face. "What do you mean? We're here to help." The other one chimed in while putting her arm around my neck. "Yup! We'll be like the three heroes of legend!" My shoulders sunk. "There were four heroes..." She looked embarrassed. "Oh, yea...hehe..."

The two next to me were Jonna and Leia. I looked at Natasha. "Aren't these two's combat potential too low?" Natasha laughed while exciting the room. "You'll be fine. I've supplied horses, get going." I looked at the smiling duo. "let's get this over with."

We walked out of the guildhall. There were three horses near us. "Those are ours for the trip." Leia said while walking towards them. "come in Jonna...um...I wanna say, Monarch?" I got on a horse while sighing. "Sovereign." Jonna started laughing. "MONARCH! BAHAHAHA!" Leia got bashful. "Shut up! let's just go!" After saying that she snapped her horses' reigns. Jonna and I did the same. 'Maybe I can get some form of answers from the dungeon.'
