Ep.30 A Hated Outcome

As Mike and Edward were going to the Elevator Mike said

"Im worried that after today I'll have a target on my back"

Edward said as he and Mike got into the elevator

"I highly doubt that, your father is a S-Rank hunter and you have triple A rank hunters as allies and you too have been promoted to A-Rank"

Mike looked at Edward for a moment and said as he looked at the Advancement Core in his hand

"I may be a A-Rank but I have the status of a Lower Tier C-Rank, not to mention my abilities which are all common and Uncommon"

Edward laughed a little and said as they stopped at the top floor

"Fate has smiled on you today since your father passed you a Advancement core that will make you better than ever"

Mike felt happy and angry at the same time since he was excited about what would happen if he used the Advancement Core but at the same time he wanted to throw it away since he hated his father so much

Once Edward and Mike reach the office Edward opened the door and said as Mike and him entered the room to reveal it was wide enough to be called a penthouse with a pool on the balcony and a staircase leading upstairs

Mike was flabbergasted by his surroundings and said before he sat down on a chair

"Does the chairman live here? Hell I would want to live here if I was him"

Edward was pouring himself a cup of coffee and said before he sat down across from Mike

"The Chairmen has many responsibilities, so the board of directors deemed it necessary for him and any other chairman's to live on the premises in case of an emergency"

Mike nodded and said as he looked around the room while they waited

"That makes sense but what does the chairmen want to know about my store?"

Edward remained silent for a moment before he said

"That's for the chairmen to say"

Mike sighed and just then the doors opened with the chairmen walking in and saying as he loosened his tie

"That was stressful give me a second to get my coffee"

Edward leaned back into the chair and said before he took a sip of his coffee

"Are these the coffee beans I gave you last week? They're quite good"

The chairmen smiled and said after grabbing his coffee and walking over to his desk

"It is and they are quite good but we can talk about that later"

Mike looked at the chairmen and said once he sat down

"So what do you already know about my shop?"

The chairmen said as he pulled up a video of Sam and scarlet fighting in the streets before Mike walked out and said

"I'm aware you were in a coma for a few years but I find it odd that once you become a hunter you immediately open a shop and a few days later both the guild Masters visit your store and they were eager to get into your store, now why is that?"

Mike waited a moment before he said as he pulled out 5 [Self-Heal] books and laid them on the desk

"I sell these at my store and that's why they were there"

Both the chairmen and Edward got up and looked at the books before they both turned to Mike and just stared at him before the chairmen said

"So you are selling them skills and Spells that you buy from someone else who will sell them cheap to you?"

Mike shook his head and said

"Yes but also no, yes I sell them cheaper than most but I don't get them from someone else"

Both Edward and the chairmen were confused before Edward asked

"Then where did you get them from?"

Mike looked around for any cameras and said

"If we go to my store then I'll show you but I will only show the chairmen"

The room then fell completely silent before Edward looked at the chairmen and said

"What do you think sir?"

After a long silence the chairmen said as he stood up

"Very well as I know your father personally I will see it for myself but afterwards I will have the whole truth"

Mike nodded and said as he followed the chairmen back to the elevator

"Ok but I won't tell you my system class for my own reasons"

The chairmen nodded and said

"Another rule in the hunters code is that no hunter can ask about another hunters class unless that hunter tells them it"

Mike felt some relief before they reached the lobby and went into a car and drove off towards mikes shop and Mike was shocked to find the streets and all of the stores repaired in just a few hours as if the outbreak never occurred when the chairmen said with a smile on his face

"The KingNoot construction company is always impressive in how fast it can get the job done"

Mike took out his keys and unlocked the door when he said as the chairmen walked past him

"I know I will have little say in the matter but please I beg of you to not disclose what you are about to see"

The chairmen started looking around the shop and said before he stopped at the front desk

"That will depend of what you show me, but you shouldn't have to much to worry about"

Mike laughed nervously and opened the Crafting room door and said before he and the chairmen Followed him

"Please follow me, this is where the magic happens"

Once the door closed and disappeared the chairmen saw the Upgrade pedestal and the Crafting wheel and said

"What are these?"

Mike placed his hand on the upgrade table and said as he looked at the chairmen with worry on how he would react

"This… is an upgrade table, currently it can upgrade a common spell to an uncommon with the risk of your skill being destroyed if it fails"

The chairmen walked forward and said as he looked at the table closely

"When did you get this and how did you get this?"

Mike put both of his hands together and said politely

"I'm sorry but I can't tell you"

The chairmen stared at Mike for a awhile and saw Mike was genuinely concerned and said

"Very well I will ask no more, now what is this other contraption of yours"

Mike walked over to the crafting Rings and said before he entered a new combination of words

"Please watch then I will tell you what I can

<Dark Elf, Support, Moonlight, Sneak>Confirm"

The chairmen was puzzled before he felt waves of mana past him as if a gentle breeze had reached him and Mike before the mana in the air started to condense into a small black Book before it landed in mikes hands and the crafting Wheels stopped spinning before Mike turned and handed the new skill to the chairmen where he saw the skill book was called [Moon Walking] that improved movement in the moonlight by 5% for 30 seconds

Causing the chairmen to say as he looked at the book in surprise

"You….. you summoned this?"

Mike shook his head as he opened the door to the room and said

"No I didn't summon this…. I made it"

This caused the chairmen to become both confused and concerned before he said as he handed the book back to Mike

"Wait… you made a skill book? How did you achieve this and how many have you created?"

Mike started to pile the different books he had on hand and said once the table at the lounge area was packed with books

"I have made quite the number of spell and skills as you can see but only you and both the vice and guild Master of the Majestic Beasts guild know of this Hence why they were so eager to go to my shop"

The chairmen didn't respond as he was too focused on the different books on the table as he could feel the very mana infused into them before he took out his phone and said

"Harold, do a Mana density test"

Just then a little transparent man came out of the chairmen's phone and started looking at each and every book before he jumped back into the phone and said

"Mana Density is 46,234 sir"

The chairmen was surprised by the number before he saw the Training room and said while pointing to it while Mike put the books back into his dimensional space

"What's that room for?"

Mike looked and said

"I can also simulate Dungeons for Training but I can only do it for dungeons I have done before"

The chairmen was curious about the training room but remembered that he had other matters to attend to and said

"I will select an observer help you in your store for your protection and to monitor your store until I am certain of your goals for myself"

Mike was worried about who the observer would be and asked before the chairmen left the store

"May I ask who will the observer be?"

The chairmen smiled and said

"Who else but your father"

Mike felt any hope of freedom from his father fade away before he ran outside and was about to yell only to see the chairmen was nowhere to be seen before he went back inside and loaded up some dungeon Simulations to relieve some of his frustration and anger before he went home
