"Headmistress?" - Cloud asked in surprise as he saw Kyōka's mother in front of him.

". . ." - Cloud frowned when he heard this because he hadn't expected Kyōka's mother to say something like that.

"Consider it as if I'm owing you a favor" - Ryōko added while rolling her eyes at the boy - "I might as well give you permission to go out and train for a few days while chaos reigns in Nangokuren."

"Give me a few minutes to think about it..." - Cloud replied while closing his eyes and thinking about the pros and cons of not participating, only to notice that it wasn't really necessary for him to enter Ryōko's little event because he would get bored after a few hours - "Ok... consider me out of the event... in fact, I could use this time to tour around the city a bit... though I'd like you to at least record the fight to watch it later."

". . ." - Ren fell silent because it was impolite to speak when someone was on the phone, only to notice how Meru started laughing - "What's wrong?"

"Our little problem disappeared like it was nothing" - Meru replied as she cut the call - "Ryōko-sama just called me to tell me that Cloud Strife won't be entering the event, that leaves us free rein to be able to enter the fun and show our support..."
