Pain

Morning came, the sun piercing through the hut small window, the air was still and the silence governing in the hut, a small moan bearly audible to the human ear was breaking the silence.

" Mmmmmn"

The wolfs ears perked up hearing the sound coming from the girl , stading up on his front paws as if to check what he was hearing was right.

Looking over to the the man sleeping on the floor the wolf got up and went over to the man and nudged him with his head, to wake him up.

Sensing the disturbance the opened his eyes ,still heavy from sleep, noticing the wolf staring at him, he said

" What is it?"

The wolf growled and turned his attention to the girl on the bed and looked at the man again. As if understanding what the wolf wanted the man got up

" I'll check on her, she seems still unconscious but alive" the wolf growled a bit louder this time , understanding that wolf was not going to let go, he approached the bed, leaning over he placed his hand under her nose and on her neck , looking at wolf

" Her heart beat is to fast, she is in pain" Walking over to the table he mixed some more ingredients, returning to the bed he opened the girls mouth a slowly trickled the liquid into her mouth as he did the day before, finishing up his task he turned to wolf .

" She should feel better soon, the pain will go away but will come back, I need to go to the forest, I need to get some more herbs to treat her wounds, I'll be back soon" the wolf looked at him and let out small growl and returned to bed and plopped himself next to the girl as if nothing happened.

The man sighed, grabbing his herb pouch he walked out of the hut and headed to the forest.

While waking around the forest ground looking for the much needed herbs, his thoughts drifted to the girl and the wolf in his hut, trying to make some sense of the situation that he found himself in.

" I wonder what happened?" saying to no one in particular.

" I would ask the damn wolf but all he does is to growl at me"

"She must've been in fight or got beaten by someone, otherwise I can't explain the severty of her injuries!"

" How does the wolf even come into play?"

" I thought that they were vicious killers "

"I guess I'll have to wait for the girl to wake up to get some answers, it might take a while though " and with that final thought he carried on picking his herbs and slowly making his way back to the hut, seeing that sun was up in the sky already and it was nearly time for lunch.

"Skipping breakfast was not a good idea, I should hunt something for the wolf in case he refuses to leave the girls side" he mused to himself.

Nodding at his own thoughts, the man carried on looking for something to hunt.

Spotting a rabbit not very far, he decided to take the less exhausting approach, he laid a trap with some leaves that he found in the forest that he knew that rabbits liked, he hid in a tree and waited.

Sitting in a tree waiting for his victim to take the bait, his thoughts once again drifted to the girl lying on his bed and the unusual appearance, he hair was white as snow stained red with her own blood, her figure slender but not fragile, she looked as warrior but the build said otherwise, she looked elegant despite her ragged clothing, her brows were of a different colour than her hair which made him more curios, soft and sharp features clashed ,he tried to imagine he without all the wounds and cuts on her and his mind kept drifting on to the beautiful girl in his hut. A soft clacking broke his thoughts and brought him to reality, letting him know that the rabbits have taken the bait.

Getting down from his spot in the tree, heading to where he laid the trap, crouching he looked at the rabbits.

" Sorry my little fluffy friends but you'll be dinner poiting to one of the rabbits and you'll be lunch pointing at the other rabbit"

Grabbing the rabbits by their ears he stuffed them in one of his bags and made his way to the hut.

The journey back to the hut was short as he didn't travel very far from it. Entering the hut he looked at the bed and saw the wolf staring at him.

"Did something happened?" he asked the wolf and the wolf replied with low growl, to let him know that nothing happened.

Picking one of the rabbits from his bag, Ian looked at the wolf and said,

" I brought you lunch!" dangling the creature in front the wolf.

Lifting his head, he looked a Ian with bored expression, the wolf got off the bed and walked out of the hut.

Ian looked at wolfs back and thought to himself " More for me then, huh?!"

Turning his attention from the wolf that now was out of his view to the girl on the bed , making his way towards her he gave a quick glance, humming to himself he made his way to the table in the corner and started to make the poultice for the girls wounds.

A moan brought him back to reality as he was focused on mixing the herbs .

"Mmmmmn "

Looking over his shoulder to the girl, he realised that the medicine he gave her in the morning was losing it's effect.

He quickly grabbed another bottle of pain medicine and went on to repeat the same steps as he did in the morning.

Approaching the bed, he grabbed her chin as to pry open her mouth, when she suddenly grabbed him by the wrist and pushed his hand away.

Shocked by her reaction, he quickly looked at her face, her eyes were still closed but she was mouthing something.
