The Second Stage

Except for football, other pending events ended the second day and the middle stage of the tournament begins on the third while the last few matches of football elimination round was played on that third day.

The football event ended with 64 teams in total getting qualify to the next round, there was 10 draws in total and 76 loss at the end of the early stage. Lindsay Academy played their match on the third day which they won.

Only 58 students got qualified to the next round at the end of Martial Art event with a total of 24 teams, Dungeons Crawl got 46 qualified teams while 100 teams made it to the next round in the Knowledge Exchange event.

More than half of the participating schools have been eliminated in a matter of two days, apart from the Knowledge Exchange that still have a 100 participating schools.

The middle stage of events began and it was as tough as the officials have stated, it isn't as rough as the elimination round and the organizers took their precious time to do the pairings. The middle stage will last for two weeks before the final stage.

The 24 qualified teams in Martial Arts were paired fairly against each other, the match would be taking place one after another, this pairing is a disadvantage to some people as many of them don't have more than two members left, some of them even have only 1 member while there are teams with 8 members, seven members and so on.

The large muscular boy who had join hands with other teams to eliminate Lindsay Team is the only one left in his team but he still have a strong determine look on his face, the one who had promised to help Lindsay Team and also fought the muscular boy is also the only one left in his team and the two have fatefully been paired against each other.

The former have defeated the latter with ease in the 1st round of the middle stage, they're both from Nara City but different school.

Lindsay Team themselves are paired against a team of 8 members, some other teams who were very unlucky with only one or two members got paired against teams with more members and they have immediately given up by resigning.

And that's just it, they didn't give up because they were fine with it, no one wanted to get eliminated even if they have no allies. They have simply given up because they have another chance.

The middle stage is held in two ways which gave every qualifier a chance to get to the last stage of the event, there's something called Winners Bracket and Losers Bracket.

Just as stated, the Winners Bracket is for the winners while the Losers Bracket is for the losers, those who had loss their first will be paired against one another in the losers bracket for the second match and the same thing goes for the winners. The winners will also be paired against one another in the winners bracket for their second match.

Those who then lose their second match in the Losers Bracket will be eliminated while the winners will be paired against those who loss in the winners bracket, the losers in the Winners Bracket will move back down to the losers bracket to face the champions there, while the winners will be paired against one another for the next round.

The Losers Bracket moves as the Winners Bracket move with only the loser of the former getting eliminated while the winners continues their journey in the event.

This is done to create a sense of competition and opportunity of qualifying for those who had survive the harsh and deadly round of the elimination stage.

It is only done in the middle stage of the tournament and the rule only applied to Martial Art and Knowledge Exchange event.

The first round of the middle stage have ended today apart from football that the last few matches of the early stage was played.

The losers in both martial art and knowledge exchange have been taken to the losers bracket while the winners got to stay in the winners bracket, for martial art, there are a total of 12 teams in each bracket whille 50 each for Knowledge Exchange. Lindsay Team have gotten to the winners bracket in both event, they have completely obliterated the team of 8 members paired against them in Martial art while the knowledge exchange, they won by 6 points above their opponent.

The middle stage of the Knowledge Exchange event is held in a way where two opposing teams will be throwing questions at each other and a correct answer gave them 2 points while an incorrect answer grants them 0 points.

Dungeons Crawl has also taken place and the middle stage was so terrifying and breathtaking, the qualified teams got into the VR pod and were immediately thrust into a very dangerous and eerie realm, the region is so terrifying than that of the early stage with more dangerous and deadly creatures roaming the region.

Even the participants are scared.

They were scattered all over the place and the mission for this round is to arrive safely at a safe haven that was situated somewhere far in the heart of the deadly realm. That's just what they needed to do to get to the next round of the event, but to get to that safe haven, they needed to fight countless battles against those creature and survive.

The Dungeons Crawl is game that is well known in public especially among the teenagers, a very cool game that many young teenagers and even adults spend most of their time playing, the game has different missions that can be issued to the players but the students found this a lot different from the ones they play.

First reason is that, they needed to register a permanent ID and username that would be use and give them access to their account whenever and wherever they want to play, but here, they were not asked for their ID and just got into the pod and were transported away.

Second reason is that the players got to design a character that would be displayed on their account and can also be used in the realm, completing a mission will also grants them rewards which they can either use to strengthen their character arsenal or exchange with different items from another player. They can also purchase weapons and different items in the game.

But no such thing exists here in the tournament, they were not even asked to enter their ID to access their account or to create a new one for the tournament, they only input their real name into the username space, joined the team and they were transported straight into the dungeons, they have access to a few equipments.

Although, being transported with their real appearance is not a surprise for them, after all, designing a character to use is a choice, and only those who don't want to be recognize always use a character design, but why is completing a mission not granting them any rewards.

What they didn't know is that all this features have been altered making it different from the ones they play.

The game is not only for missions, there's also a section for duel, just like the martial arts duel and team battle they are having on the arena.

In the first round of the second stage, 38 teams completed their mission by getting to the safe haven but not without losing their members, while 8 teams were completely annihilated.

The Talent Exhibition event also started on that day, a total of 120 students got registered with a total number of 55 different careers that skills will be displayed on, not everyone got to participate today as the event was organized according to the profession.

Emmy was unable to participate today as sport related skills are among the last few to be displayed and would be held the following, but Sunny.
