1 Moonlight.

Under the moonlight, a girl was standing besides the window, silently staring at the view outside. With every blow of the breeze her hair flitted away from her shoulder. The wind was cold as ice, causing her to get goosebumps, however, she still stood there wearing a sleeveless  dress.

A distance away, A guy who was staring at her. His gaze was fixated on her. Such a beautiful portrait had left him spell bound.

Long wavy black hair that touched her waist, pearl like skin blazing in moonbeam, reddish pink pouty lips, she was not even blinking yet he could see her double eyelids with clearness.

Brightness reflected around her  Her glowing face and silky white dress turning her into a moon goddess who had just descended from the sky.

She stood opposed to him, yet her eyes remained diverted.

A few seconds later, the girl's sight finally fell on him causing a spark to flow through his nerves.

Thump... thump!

Somehow he could feel a sense of sorrow deep within her. Though he was in front of her, he remained invisible. He could sense that he did not exist to her.

Neither sadness, nor liveliness, the only thing he was able to detect was emptiness. Impassable darkness, similar to a fallen angel whose wings had been sliced off.

At that moment, Several thoughts floated through his mind, which caused his feet to stay stuck to the ground

All of a sudden, a little guy hurried into her room and Arthur came back to his senses .

Without paying attention on Arthur , that little guy hurried and entered the room.

Since Arthur was all his senses so departed from there without taking a single second.

....

That little guy reached closer to her and held her hand. "Sister!"

But, there was no response...

"Sister?"

He still got no response.

"Why? Why don't you want to talk to me? Did I do anything wrong?" he cried.

Still, nothing came out...

Even after two months of continuous efforts, the young boy was unable to have normal conversations with her like he used to.  The response he used to get every-time was either silence or some words. "I don't wanna talk. Go away."

"I will become a good boy, please don't be angry with me!" he requested.

Luna(The girl) looked at him desperately, all she wanted was to be left alone.

On the other side, The little one burst out. Tears were falling down from his eyes as her cold glance fell over him.

Sometimes, her indifferent behaviour put him in a dilemma. Sometimes he got so frustrated that he wanted each answer which was in his bucket. Like, Is she really her sister? Where has all her love and care gone?

"Why don't you want me? Where was I wrong? Why are you ignoring me? Why do you stay in this room all day and night? What should I do?..." he burst out with anger.

His words sounded like a mature person's, even though he was only a five-year-old child. At this age, children should not even realise the meanings of questions such as "Where I was wrong?".

Maybe, After being thrown out by someone the heart holds dear, even an adult would become restless, but he was just a small child.

Like a broken song, he sang the same tune, "Why don't you want me?", again and again.

Eventually, Luna stared at him. Recognising his face and separating layers from the troughs of the brain as she tried to gain her consciousness.

Soon after, A spark lit up in her fingers. Though the dimness had been constant around her but still her little brother's tears were breaking it.

Every drop that fell from his eyes started to melt her heart like butter sliding on a pan.

"Sister, are you also going to abandon me? Am I so ominous that you no longer love me? Don't you don't want me anymore? Are you going to leave me behind like mom dad did? Was it my fault they left us? Are you about to leave me too?" he wept.

Luna didn't answer his any question but lightly pulled him close to her. Then embraced him slowly. "Who told you all this stuff?" her melodious voice whispered near his eardrum.

Upon hearing his sister's voice, the young one burst out again with tears. He put his little hands around her neck to hug her tightly.

The atmosphere was dashed in silence.

….

The little boy dissolved the silence with his sobs.

"Sister, I-I promise, I will be a good boy. I will do my homework by myself. I will brush my teeth daily and I promise I won't play video games. I will do everything, but please don't leave me."

All of his sobs felt like arrows stabbing Luna in her heart. Though she has endured hell, was it enough? why, it's appearing again...

"Why?"

Why did this happen to us...with dad?

A lot of questions were passing but no one had any significant answers. This all had happened just because of that creep… it was him who had shoved us from heaven to hell. Her mind was a mess.

"Sister, are you listening to me? Promise me! Promise me that you will leave me again! Promise me." Luna touched his face with both her hands and wiped his twinkling tears that were falling like rain.

"Yes, I promise."

The little one looked at her with his glittering eyes. It was finally his chance to ask her, "Sister will you come along with me for dinner?"

She was unable to gather enough courage to say no to him. Although She knew that her life had been ruined like a broken mirror she had split into thousands of pieces. But still, she couldn't let her little brother beg in front of her. It was not his fault nor was it hers. So why should she punish him as well as herself.

"You will come?"

Luna nodded.

Not satisfied by her response, he raised his little finger and asked "Pinky Promise?"
