Ghost, ghost, go away...
Philip's reaction and expression were blatantly evident, not just to an empath in the corner but also to a woman named Alice.
When Alice caught sight of Philip's comically contorted face, she swiftly approached him and inquired, "Do you see something on my back?"
Philip remained mute for several excruciating seconds, his emotions running wild despite the empaths attempting to steal them. The fear coursing through him was palpable and uncontrollable.
Who could blame him? A man, larger, wider, and taller than the lady, perched atop her shoulders. Although the man appeared entirely human to Philip, his actions were anything but mortal!
With this, he was convinced this man was a ghost.
"Damn! Damn! I'm finally seeing the real thing!" Philip had the urge to throw the golden glasses away. His emotions were so overwhelming that they resonated with Doug, his connected citizen. Doug, too, couldn't help but succumb to fear and panic.
