Star, who had decided to take a short nap after she was done going through one of the case files she was working on, decided to go check on Melvin after she woke up and saw that the time was far gone and Kimberly would be back at any moment.

Seeing as he hadn't come to bother her all day, Star couldn't help but wonder what he had been up to.

Star frowned when she opened her bedroom door only to find Melvin standing outside with a worried expression on his face.

Seeing how anxious he looked, she could sense that something was amiss. "What's wrong?" Star asked as she stepped back and opened the door wider, allowing Melvin to enter the room.

After closing the door, she turned to Melvin who was yet to respond, "Is everything okay?" she asked him with concern, and Melvin shook his head.

"No..."

"No? What's wrong? Is it Melvin? Did something happen?" Star asked, and Melvin sighed.

"No. It's not about Melvin or me. It's Ruby."
