Hellish Nightmare

The sky was green and red, streaked with blue and purple, and the air was filled with golden light particles. They swirled, floating in the wind, creating a sparkling haze. The sky was so filled with golden dust that it looked like a fog.

Looking closely enough, you could see massive birds flying in the sky. Some of them had fire burning in their eyes. Others had huge whips made of light. One flew by that had metal skin reflecting the colours of the sky. They all screeched at once, and the noise echoed through the land, sending shockwaves through the air.

They flew over a white mountain with a tall palace on top of it. The palace was made of pure crystal, sparkling with each sky colour. Large trees surrounded the mountain, each one having a slightly different shape. Some looked almost humanoid, while others looked like massive birds themselves. Some had branches sticking out of them, covered in leaves and fruits.

In the centre of the mountain, there was a large field filled with blue flowers, surrounded by a crystal wall. In the centre of the field, there was a girl. She had green pigtails and yellow eyes. She wore a green dress that sparkled with golden dust.

She sat in the field, looking up at the birds flying overhead.

"Nothing has changed in this accursed world." The girl muttered, shaking her head. Her two pigtails danced in the wind.

She walked through the fields and stood before a small wooden house. The house was old, with the wood rotting and falling apart. She stepped inside, entering a small room. There was a bed and a table with two chairs. On the table, there was a picture of the girl.

The girl sighed, looking at the photo. The photo had her and two other older adults. They were her parents before she came into this hell hole.

Twenty years ago, the world started to experience unprecedented changes, but the government hid all of them. Demons from another dimension began to invade the world, but you couldn't find anything about this online. Most news sites were censored.

Her parents told her not to worry and that it was just rumours spread by many high school brats. But those rumours turned out to be accurate. One day, her hometown was attacked by demons. They killed everyone except her.

They made her watch her parents being torn apart. Then, they dragged her away to a dark place. When she opened her eyes again, she found herself in a world of demons.

It's only been a week since she's been here, and the memories of that day are still fresh in her mind.

"Amaris! Run! Don't wait for us!" Her mother screamed, holding off a demon.

The demon was completely black with red eyes. It was dripping blue goo out of its mouth. Its hands were sharp claws, and its legs were long and slender.

Amaris watched as her father was killed right in front of her. His head was ripped off his body, blood splattering everywhere.

The demon then turned towards Amaris. She ran as fast as possible, but the demon was too fast. It grabbed her leg, throwing her across the room.

She fell onto her back, her head hitting the wall. She covered her head with the back of her palm and could feel a warm liquid coming from behind. She slowly opened her eyes and saw blood running down the wall.

The demon walked towards her, its red eyes glowing. Amaris tried to crawl away, but the demon grabbed her by the neck.

She watched in horror as one demon opened its mouth wide and swallowed her mother whole.

Then, her mother disappeared into its stomach. Amaris watched in terror as the demon did the same to her father.

The demon then looked at her and walked closer.

Amaris squeezed her eyes shut and felt the demon grab her by the arm. She felt its tongue lick the blood off her head.

She tried to struggle, but the demon was too strong. She screamed, tears flowing down her cheeks.

The demon smiled, showing its razor-sharp teeth, but didn't do anything. Instead, it began to drag her away.

At this moment, she fainted. Everything was black until she entered this hellish nightmare.

Opening her eyes once more. She could see the surrounding areas. The ground was mushed and cracked. Trees were rotted and dead, with leaves falling to the ground.

It was dark; the only light source was the sky. The gold dust particles filled the air, making it hard to breathe.

Screams echoed throughout this world, but they didn't sound human. It was like a scream of a beast, but they were being crushed while being underwater.

Amaris stood there, paralyzed in fear. This place was hell, a hell worse than death. The hairs on her body stood, and her muscles were stiff.

It wasn't for a while she finally built up the courage to walk forward.

"Come on, Amaris! You can do it!" She told herself.

She began to walk, one step at a time. Each step was getting harder and harder. She felt like she was walking through a swamp. Her feet stuck in the mud, and she almost tripped a few times.

The place she was in was very open, with obsidian towers scattered around. These towers were massive, some of them being 500 feet tall.

In between the obsidian towers, there were giant trees. Some were broken in half, and others were burnt to a crisp.

She could hear weird sounds from these trees, but she didn't dare get close.

As she continued to walk, she noticed a lot of corpses lying around. Some of them were skeletons, and others were decaying flesh. None of them were human, but it still made her stomach turn.

She had to cover her nose because the smell was unbearable.

Suddenly, she heard a scream. It sounded like a girl, but it wasn't human. Amaris froze, not knowing what to do.

She turned her head stiffly and saw two beings flying. One was an angel. Well, that's what Amaris thought.

The other was a girl, but she had tan skin with an eyeball hanging out. She had giant snake-like wings with a prominent horn on her forehead.

The angel didn't seem to have a gender. It didn't look like a boy or a girl, but it wore a white cloak with fluffy fur on the trims. It had four golden wings, and it was holding a silver bow. Its face was covered in shadows, so Amaris couldn't tell if it had a face.

The angel fired a golden arrow at the girl, but the girl dodged it. She flew up, trying to attack the angel, but the angel was too fast.

A white light appeared in the angel's hand while Amaris heard a metallic voice coming from the angel.

"Demon of sin! Be blessed with the holy power of light!"

Light exploded from the angel's hand, enveloping the girl. Amaris could hear the girl's screams, but she couldn't move. She just stood there, watching as the girl was being burned.

The girl screamed, her skin melting off her body. The angel just stood there, watching as the holy power destroyed the girl's body.

After a few minutes, the light disappeared, and the girl fell to the ground. A black ring emerged from her body and lurked for a few seconds before dissipating.

The angel then disappeared from her sight, leaving Amaris alone.

She stood there, her legs shaking, not knowing what to do. Tears started to form in her eyes, but she couldn't cry.

She gritted her teeth and walked towards the body of the dead demon, but when she got closer, she could start to see the black ring again.

Amaris walked up to the ring and touched it with her left pointing finger. The ring trembled slightly, and a considerable force entered Amaris' mind as the ring started to glow.
